Day 4 Sneak Peek for CAS-ual Fridays

It is Thursday, one more day until the weekend begins!! Yeah!! (Weekends are what I live for these days!!)

Once again I am here with a sneak peak for CAS-ual Fridays new stamp and die release. Just two more days until the goodies go live in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store!!

Today I am sharing a project that I created with the new "Bravo" stamp set. There is a "Bravo" Fri-Die too!!

What I love about this stamp set is that you can use this for a bunch of different celebrations-retirement, a new job, graduations-the possibilities are endless!!

I chose to make a graduation card for my niece who will be graduating from college in a few weeks.

I started the card by cutting down a piece of white card stock into a 5 1/4" by 4" piece. I then stamped the "applause" sentiment in blue-violet from the new "Bravo" stamp set.  Next, I used the tiny star from the "Sassy Smiles" set and stamped some stars around the panel in a random fashion. I mounted the white panel onto a blue card base and set aside. I used Blue Bayou Stickles over the stars and inside the dots on the sentiment to give the card a little sparkle.

I used a punch to punch a circle and created a diamond with a ruler to create a graduation hat.

I then used some black floss to make a tassel for the hat. I punched a hole in the top of the graduation cap, insert the tassel and covered the hole up with a black enamel dot. I adhered the bottom of the hat to the card and then used foam adhesive under the top of the hat for some emphasis.

Since the colors of her school are blue and orange, I stamped another sentiment from the "Bravo" set in orange on a strip of white card stock. I adhered it above the blue sentiment.

To round everything out, I adhered some white sequins and orange stars that I die cut using the "Fun-Fetti" fri-dies randomly down the card at an angle.

Since I work in a High school, I will be needing a TON of graduation cards and will be utilizing the "Bravo" set again and again.

Day 3 of CAS-ual Fridays New Release

Happy Hump Day!! Today is day 3 of the CAS-ual Friday release. I have had so much playing with these fun stamps!! The design team is showing projects made with the new products that will be available on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Today I am showcasing two cards that I created with the CAS-ual Friday "Thanks" stamps and matching Fri-dies.

On my first card, I used the "Thanks" stamp set with the "Tag Buddies Fri-dies" to make a simple thank you card.

I started the card by blending Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw Distress Ink over a white card base. It was a little too bright so I added some WPlus9 "Falling Star" ink over the top to tone it down.

I then stamped the "thanks" sentiment over a small scrap of yellow patterned paper and die cut it using the smallest tag die in the "Tag Buddies Fri-dies" trio. I adhered the tags to my card using foam adhesive.

Next I stamped and cut out the small banner. I also used adhesive foam to adhere it below the "thanks" sentiment. My last step was to adhere some random coral colored gems around the sentiment to draw the eye right to it.

For my second card, I used the "Thanks Fri-Die" with the "Thanks" stamp set, as well as using a stamp set for the background that will be officially introduced on Friday.

I knew before I even designed this card that I wanted to layer thanks die cuts over each other in various shades of red so I began by die cutting some paper scraps. I set them aside and stamped a white background using the "Tin Roof" stamp set in yellow ink. (More about this set on Friday!!)

I layered the background over a yellow card base and added a black and white strip down the side. Next I adhered the "Thanks" die cuts over each other.

I stamped the "many" from the "Thanks" stamp set and adhered it above the die cuts using foam adhesive. It still looked a little bare so I decided to use glossy accents over the top die. Simple but oh so effective!
