Happy Sunday!!
I have had a lot of fun this week making Valentine's. I rarely get in my craft room during the week but due to what is going on in our country, it has kept me sane.
My first card that I created I used the retired "Heart Happy Coverplate" by The Stamp Market and the "Love" stamp by Simon Says Stamp!
I die cut the cover plate three times and glued the outlines together. I then took the hearts inside the plate and used different color Distress Inks to shade them in.
I also used a stencil over one color. This was SO FUN to create and really helped my stress level.
I am going to enter this card in some challenges:
Inkspirational Challenge #334-Red and Pink and The Color Hues Challenge #103: Pink and Red:
I layered my hearts over a dry embossed background that was embossed using the retired Intertwined Lattice from Spellbinders.
I dug deep for these pattern papers. Some are from K & Company, some from Basic Grey and a Doodlebug piece of pattern paper. I love when I can use up my scraps. I keep accumulating them faster than I used them.
Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!
It's a trifecta of amazing valentines! I love them all, and you've inspired me to dig out a die cut sentiment for one of my valentines. I love the variety of pinks and reds and the wonderful frames around each heart on your first card! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteCute Valentines, Nora! Love the last one!

ReplyDeleteThere is so much inspiration on this post, Nora! Each card is so pretty! I said I wasn't making Valentines this year as I just wasn't feeling up to it, but you certainly have inspired me today! Your cards are wonderful but the last card is super creative. Thanks for playing along at Color Hues.

ReplyDeleteNora, your trio of Valentine cards has planted a smile all over my face! They're pretty, heart-warming and all-around wonderfully creative. Thank you for sharing your first one in the Colour Hues and Inkspirational galleries.
ReplyDeleteI'd be delighted if you could also share the other two in both challenges, especially the geometric version. That one is awesome! Fingers crossed you'll have an opportunity to do so.
