Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop

It is the 17th of the month of May and what does that mean? It is time for the "Sistahood Blog Hop" over at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. You should have come here from Archana's Blog.

I created a simple card using the "Hope Ribbon" CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Set and the "Hope" CAS-ual Fridays Fri-Die to create my card.

I stamped the ribbon in Versamark ink onto white card stock and embossed it using Zing "Grapefruit Pink"embossing powder. I used an craft knife and a bowl to create the curve at the bottom of the white card panel and then mounted it using foam adhesive over an embossed pink card base.

I then used Stickles in "Fruit Punch" to add some sparkle inside the hearts.

While the hearts were drying, I die cut the hope sentiment out of pink card stock four times and glued them together to give it some dimension. I then adhered it to the front of the card.

My last step was to adhere the sentiment with foam adhesive that I stamped in black onto a white card stock strip.

Stamping Smiles Design Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #10

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!

Today I am showing you the card I created for Stamping Smiles Design Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #10.

Can you believe it is Challenge #10 already? I have had so much fun over these months playing along!

For this challenge, I chose the diagonal from the top left to the bottom right-chevron, ombre and vellum.

I started my card by using a Heidi Swapp's Chevron Stencil and using Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord and blended it to create an Ombre effect. I then mounted the panel onto a purple card base.

Next I die cut a cross out of white card stock using the Paper Smooches "Crosses" die and adhered it to the front of the card.

I stamped, embossed and die cut flowers from Simon Says Stamps "Artful Flowers" stamp set and matching "Designer Flowers" die onto Vellum. I then used Distress Markers in Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Squeezed Lemonade to color the flowers in from the back. I then adhered them to the card overlapping the cross.

I stamped the sentiment in Lavender dye ink onto a white card stock strip and adhered it to the card  front with foam adhesive. I used a clear Wink of Stella pen to add a bit of sparkle to the flowers. My last step was to adhere some Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins around the cluster of embellishments.

I think this card came out so beautiful and it was so much fun to create!! I thank you for stopping by and please make sure to hop over to Stamping Smiles Design Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Blog to join in the fun!!

Have a  wonderful day!!

Smile!!!

Happy Tuesday!! I am Girl Friday over at the CAS-ual Fridays Blog today.

I had fun mixing a couple CAS-ual Fridays stamp sets to create my card today.

I started by stamping and embossing using the new CAS-ual Fridays "Pretty Posies" stamp set.

Next I used a Zig Watercolor Pen in Violet to color in my flower and Lemon Yellow to color in the middle. I colored in a bit of the Violet in the center of each petal and used a brush with water to soften the color up.

Then I used a Zig in Light Green to color in the leaves. I used the same technique with the leaves as I did with the flower-using water and a brush to blend the color.

I let the paint dry and then stamped the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays "Sassy Smiles" set with Soft Granite dye ink.

I masked the flower and sprayed the panel with mist spray in Shaded Lilac, Chrome and Citron mist. After the mist dried, the flower was a bit to "purple" so I blended some blue Zig in with the purple.

I cut the panel down and added some foam to the back. I also added some patterned paper to the card base for a bit of contrast.

I die cut the "smile" sentiment in black, using the new "Smiling Fri-Dies." I adhered it to the front of the card, slightly above the stamped part of the sentiment.

I then covered the black die cut with clear Wink of Stella and added a few purple sequins around the card.

I am in LOVE with this card. I am addicted to this blue-purple color as of late and cannot wait to send this to a friend who is having a rough time.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this card made you all smile!! Have a fabulous day!!
