Day 4 and the Final Day of the CAS-ual Fridays September 2020 Release

Happy Thursday everyone!! I hope you have enjoyed the last three days of the September 2020 CAS-ual Friday release. I know I have loved playing with all the new products!!

Today I am showcasing the last new product release-Happy Birthday Fri-dies. This die goes FABULOUSLY with the previously released Happy Birthday stamp set.

I started off this card by masking off a circle on a piece of white cardstock and blending Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink together. I then spritzed a bit of water and let it dry.

I die cut the panel using a rectangle die and then adhered the "Happy Birthday" sentiment over the colored circle. I used the new Happy Birthday Fri-die to cut the sentiment from pattern paper that matched the colors of the Distress Ink.

Next I adhered the white panel to an aqua, A2, top folding card base. I took a white gel pen and dotted the edges of the blended circle.

To finish off my card, I used some Washi tape that complimented the color scheme. I LOVE the way this came out!! You don't have to do too much on the background when you have a fancy die cut like this. Who doesn't LOVE easy????

The Happy Birthday Fri-dies are available NOW, along with all the other new releases, in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store. Don't forget to use my code, NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order-including the new release!!!

Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays September 2020 Release

Happy Hump Day!!! I hope you are all doing well.

It is day three of the CAS-ual Friday September 2020 Release. Today I am sharing a project created with the new Hooray Fri-dies and the Sassy Celebration stamp set.

I started off my card by die cutting the two circles using the new Slimline Pinked Fri-dies that were introduced on the first day. I used these circles to create a stencil. I used inks in purple and green to stencil circles across the card front. I die cut the panel using the same slimline die set and adhered this to a slimline, white card base.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in black using the new Sassy Celebration stamp set. This set has such fun sentiments that make me laugh!! I paired the stamped sentiment with the Hooray Fri-die sentiment die cut in white.

I finished off my card with gold stars that I die cut using the new Slimline Pinked Fri-die.

Here is a peek at the new stamp and die set:

Day 2 of the September 2020 CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release

 Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Today I am posting some cards I created for Day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays September 2020 release. I created two cards showcasing the Everyday Dragonflies stamp set and matching Dragonfly Fri-dies. The stamp set is the second product collaboration I had with Michele this month.

For my first card, I stamped the largest dragonfly onto white cardstock and colored the flowers in with Tombow markers in shades of orange and red.

I die cut the dragonfly with the matching Dragonfly Fri-die and layered it over a piece of red cardstock that I had dry embossed with the previously released Tin Roof Stencil.

I stamped a sentiment from the new stamp set and die cut it out using the small banner from the new Slimline Pinked Fri-dies. I layered this over a larger banner that I had die cut and blended with shades of orange.

To complete my card, I used Glossy Accents down the center of the dragonfly and randomly used some Nuvo Glitter Drops around the dragonfly. Below are a peek at these new products.

For my second card, I combined the new Everyday Dragonflies Stamp set and yesterdays Slimline Pinked Edged die set to create a slimline card.

I stamped the large dragonfly onto a white cardstock panel that I had die cut using the large stitched die from the new slimline die set. I then stamped the smaller dragonfly twice toward the top.

Next I masked off the dragonflies, shaded the background with three shades of teal ink and did a Copic dot technique all over the panel.

For my sentiment, I combined the "friend" die cut from the Sweet Friend Fri-die set and a sentiment from the dragonfly set. I created an ombre effect over the die cut to match the background.

I die cut an aqua panel using the pinked die and adhered it to a white, slimline card front. I adhered the colored card front on top of the pinked panel.

My last step was to use some Diamond Stickles on the dragonfly bodies and randomly over the wings.

Once again I have a giveaway!! Comment and follow me on my blog to be entered into a chance to win the Everyday Dragonflies Stamp set. You have until Saturday, October 3, 2020 to comment. The drawing will take place on Sunday, October 4th, 2020.

A CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 1-Slimline Pinked Fri-dies

Hello everyone!!

Today I am sharing some cards I created with the NEW CAS-ual Fridays Slimline Pinked Fri-dies! I am so excited because this set was a collaboration between me and Michele, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays. This set has a TON of different dies to it and is so versatile. Below are just three cards I created with it but I know I will be using this set for a lot of new cards in my future!!

The first card I created, I used both of the banner dies to create a really simple card.

This card literally took me minutes to make!! I found scraps of pattern paper in a rainbow of colors and used the banner die in the set to cut them out.

The banner was not quite bit enough to give me the length I wanted so I die cut a second banner out, adhered it to the top of the card and then cut the rest off.

The black piece of cardstock is hiding the little space in between the two sets of banners!!! The sentiment is a sneak peek of one of the new sets that will be showcased tomorrow. Below is a peek at the Fri-die set.

My second card I created a slimline shaker card using the smallest scallop circle, the smallest stitched circle, the large stitched rectangle and the leaves from the Garden Fri-dies to create a trio of sunflowers.

I die cut the large rectangle and used a cloud stencil for the background.

Next I die cut circles out of the front using the small stitched circle and blended Walnut Stain ink over the top. I then used the Tin Roof Stencil with Espresso ink to create the sunflower center.

I used the smallest scallop circle from the set to create the "flower" part of the sunflower.

I adore how this card came out and have an idea for a slightly different sunflower card for a future post on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog

My last card is NOT my favorite and I almost did not post it. I ruined it by using Glossy Accents over the top of the sentiment so it changed a different color. The "way to go" banner is crooked too but is stuck down so securely that I could not fix it. This is what happens when you are running on no sleep and are up late making cards!!! That said, I have decided to use it because over all, I do like my original design.

For this card, I used the star dies over a background that I had blended two different types of blue inks. I tucked a banner die cut and a small scallop circle underneath the card front to give it a fun feel.

The die cut sentiment and stamped sentiment are a sneak peek of a future set that will be released later on in the week as well.

Now for the fun part...I am offering a giveaway from MY BLOG of the new Slimline Pinked Fri-dies!!! I will be picking the winner from the comments on this post. You have until Saturday, October 3, 2020 to comment and I will pick a winner on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

A Catherine Pooler Collaboration with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!! So excited for the weekend!!!

Today on the blog I am sharing THREE cards I created in a collaboration with Catherine Pooler Designs and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Catherine Pooler was so kind to send the design team a package of her AWESOME inks (I received the Carnivale set, along with her Midnight Ink) and I decided use them in three different ways.

For my first card, I used Suede Shoes ink color and the CAS-Fridays Modern Petals Stencil to create a background for my card.

I paired this with the Garden Fri-dies and the soon to be retired Peace and Comfort stamp set to complete my card.

I used Catherine Pooler's "Be Mine" for a little direct to paper action for my pink flowers and the "Mardi Gras" to shade in the green leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from Peace and Comfort using the Midnight Ink

For my second card, I did some ink smooshing on white paper using Catherine Pooler's "Tutti Frutti," "Tiki Torch," "Mardi Gras," and "Lemoncello" dye ink. I then die cut leaves out of the home made paper using CAS-ual Fridays soon to be retired Acorn Fri-dies.

These inks were awesome to use for this technique as they were so pigmented that I didn't have to do a ton of work.

I layered these leaves over a piece of kraft embossed paper that I received as protection from some products in a package!! I love to recycle on a card!!

The stems were die cut from kraft cardstock and shaded in with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

My last card I used a direct to paper technique with a rainbow of inks from Catherine Pooler. I then used some water over the top to get the drips down watercolor paper.

I let the background dry and then sprayed it again with some shimmer spray to make it shine. I paired this background with the CAS-Fridays Be a Unicorn stamp set and matching Unicorn Fri-die.

I used Copic markers to color in my unicorn but I made it a little too dark. Sigh. These things do happen!!!

To finish off my card, I added some clear sequins that I covered with Nuvo Glitter Accents.

My final step was to cover the unicorn horn with the Nuvo Glitter Accents and the entire unicorn with some Wink of Stella. There is a TON of sparkle and shine on this card that was really difficult to photograph. This is my favorite of all three cards!!!!
