CAS-ual Fridays March 2021 Release Day 1: Raindrops Duo and Scattered Showers Stencil

Hi everyone!! Today I am popping in for a CAS-ual Fridays Release.

I used the new Raindrops Duo-stamps and matching dies-and the Scattered Showers Stencil to create the card below.

I started off this card by using Stormy Sky Distress Ink and the new Scattered Showers Stencil to create my background on the white cardstock. I then adhered it to a blue, top folding A2 card.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Raindrops Duo with blue ink onto a blue circle. I used colored pencils to give a little bit of color to the drops in the sentiment and adhered it to the card front.

I die cut three clouds using the dies from the Raindrops Duo stamp set and shaded them with the same Stormy Sky Distress Ink that I used for the stenciling. I adhered the clouds around my sentiment using foam adhesive.

My last step was to use a clear sparkle pen and Glossy Accents over some of the random raindrops form the background, as well as the two drops in the sentiment.

This new stamp duo and stencil, as well as all the other new products, are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Shop under the NEW section right now!!! Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order!!!

Be sure to comment to be entered into a random drawing of all the commenters on the designers blogs to win a prize. Hop on over to the CAS-Fridays Blog to link up to the fabulous creations created by the Design Team!!

That is all from me today. Be sure to pop back in tomorrow with a sneak peek of another new stencil and duo set!!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Fun Weekend and Some Cards

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are having a nice Sunday. The sun is out here and I started my day off with a walk with my neighbor. The temperature is a little chilly but the sun just makes it so worth it.

I am going to share a couple cards today. I apologize to you in advance that they are all sympathy cards. I know people hate making them but I find them so peaceful to create. That is weird isn't it?

I used The Stamp Market's Ready to Bloom Card Cover Die for the white flowers. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Crushed Grape Gloss for the flower centers.

I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp onto a die cut oval (retired MFT die) and heat embossed with Rangers Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder

I used a PTI embossing plate to emboss the paper under the flowers and combined sentiments from two different sets on the inside of the card.

I am going to enter this card into The Flower Challenge's #54: Shades of Purple and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Beautiful Blossoms.

My second card I used the same basic supplies as my first card.

I changed up the sentiment and used My Favorite Things Deepest Sympathy Stamps and heat embossed with WOW! white embossing powder. I stamped this on a Pinkfresh Studio's Braided Oval that I die cut from purple cardstock.

I used yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow for the flower centers.

Again, I used the same sentiment stamps for the inside of my card but added a die cut rick rack to hide an ink spot. I was not going to throw it away!!

I am entering this card into The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #310, All About Occasions and The Paper Players Challenge #531: Spring is in the Air.

My next card is a card I made for someone who lost her baby recently. I was not able to go to the wake as I was not feeling well but I wanted to make sure that she knew how much I cared.

I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink to blend behind the Hero Arts Angel Wings

I used foam adhesive to layer the heart over the wings and added some Prima flowers that I have had FOREVER over the heart. I created leaves using the small flower from CAS-ual Fridays 4 Petals Die

The heat embossed sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions.

Some fun things to blog about after my sympathy cards is that I went to a "Zoom" birthday party last night. They hired a virtual mixologist and we made drinks.

Before the party we had a shopping list for things to buy. We are not heavy drinkers so we had a lot to purchase!!! It was a lot of fun and a different idea to make everyone interact virtually.

I also received some purchases this week. I had sold some stuff on Ebay last year and bought myself a 72 ink pad storage from Organize More

I had ordered it a while ago and of course it came when Chris was home alone. I hate when that happens!! I just need to reconfigure my desk so I can put my ink pads in it. I am so excited!!!

I also received an order from Simon Says Stamp. I am a little mad at myself for this one. I am supposed to be on a spending freeze but it IS NOT GOING WELL!!!

A couple things are missing from this photo too that I forgot to put in there.

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night.

A Few Challenge Cards

Hi everyone!! Long time no see!!

Just popping in with a couple of cards for some challenges. I have been creating but not blogging cards lately. I have been too busy still organizing and shopping for my new craft room. I just want it all to be done!!!

The first card I am entering into the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #96. It is all about the BIRTHDAY!!!

I dug out my taco set-Lawn Fawn Year 9-and matching Year 9 Dies-to make this card. I did a bit of no line coloring for my taco with Copic Markers and layered it over a SSS Mix and Match Circles that I stamped in red, as well as a balloon, which I had in my stash.

I added some pattern paper that I NEVER use but am obsessed with buying, in the back of everything. The layout design was inspired by The Paper Craft Crew Sketch #414. Again, I am entering this into the Lawn Fawnatics Birthday Challenge #96 as well.

I loved this card so much, I created a second version.

I added splatters from the sketch on this one, as well as made the sentiment a continuous strip.

I love how these came out!!! I can send to either a girl or a boy!

I am going to enter the second card into the Watercooler Wednesday Card Challenge #310: All About Occasions.

My second card I created using my Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Tulip

I have a monthly subscription to get the Paint-A-Flower sets but barely use them. I decided when I was going through all my stamps that I was going to make some cards with them.

I used my Copic markers to color this in and then went over the flowers with a Clear Glitter Brush Pen.

I used a sentiment strip from my stash but I have not idea who created it!!

I am going to enter this into this months's Flower Challenge #54: Shades of Purple. I might be pushing it here as I have other colors on this but think the purple is what stands out on this card.

Well, that is all from me today. I wanted to get these posted before I forgot. I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!
