Week Two of Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #535

 Happy Monday everyone!!

Today starts week two of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #535-to use coffee or tea time theme on a card. Last week I made a coffee themed card so I decided that this week I would dig out some of my tea themed stamps to create my card.

The badge below is the challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #535, though I only used the theme and not the badge itself as inspiration.

I used the Hello and Thanks Stamp and Die set from WPlus9 to create this card. I had so much fun coloring and layering on this card.

The dies rectangle dies are from Paper Trey Ink.

That is all from me today. I hope that this card inspires you to hop on over and play with us at the Cupcake Inspiration Blog. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

I want to thank you for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A New Cupcake Challenge #535 Coffee/Tea Time

***Some links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you.

Hello everyone!!

Happy New Year!! Okay, it is January 10th but for everyone that follows the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog, we have had a little break. Today we are BACK with a fabulous new challenge. It is a theme challenge this week. Can you guess what the theme is by the card I created?

The Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #535 is to use the theme of Coffee or Tea Time!!!

I chose to create a card using the coffee theme. I pulled out some never been used stamps and dies by Altenew to create my card. I used the Coffee Lovers Stamp and Die Set for the images on my card. I have had this set for YEARS but just never used it!!!

The background is from a panel that was on my desk. My goal for this year is to try to use up what I have die cut and made already, if I can!!

The label die cut and scallop frame are from my stash as well. The heart is from another card that I created over break and is from the Heart Donut Builder Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

That is all form me today. Please hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Blog and play along with us this week. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day-A Kat Scrappiness Release!!!

***The links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you!! All are indicated in bold red.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Here is to 2022 being a year where COVID becomes nothing but a common cold!!

Today I am here with some cards I created for the NEW release over at the Kat Scrappiness Shop. I had SO MUCH FUN making these cards!!!

My first card I created using the new Kat Scrappiness Smooches Coverplate Die.

I did a bit of ink blending with pink Distress Inks on the panel and then die cut it with the Smooches Coverplate. I then die cut it two more times out of white cardstock and adhered all three layers together.

Then I created a shaker card using the Kat Scrappiness Lots of Smooches Sprinkles inside as my shaker. The sprinkles are four colors of lips and they are SO CUTE!!!

The set of large lips comes with the die and I knew that I wanted to cover them with a Spectrum Clear Sparkle Marker and Glossy Accents. The sentiment is from KS Say it With Hearts stamp set.

On my second card, I used the left over lips from my card above. That makes the Smooches Coverplate a great bargain because you can make TWO cards easily with die cutting one background!!

I used the Smooches Coverplate die as a template and glued two layers of the lips together-one white and the little die cuts that were from my ink blended panel-onto a white A2, top folding card front. I covered all the lips with Spectrum Clear Sparkle Marker to give them a bit of shine.

I stamped the MWAH! sentiment with black ink using the previously released Valentine Quokka stamp set and the card was complete.

For my THIRD card, I got messy.

I started off by using the new Kat Scrappiness A2 Post Card Die to die cut a panel out of white cardstock.  I then used Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide to ink blend my background. To give it a bit more oomph, I flicked red and white Distress stain over the pink.

While my background was drying, I die cut a small heart and some "frosting" out of white cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Heart Donut Builder Dies. I used some brown ink and one of the Mini Ink Blending Tools to blend my heart "donut." I adhered the frosting over the top and added some XOXO Sprinkles over the top.

The sentiment is the new Love You Dies w/Shadow. I adhered this to the front, along with the lips from the Smooches Coverplate, and covered them with Spectrum Clear Sparkle Marker and Glossy Accents.

I adhered the panel over an A2, white card base and added the heart "donut" in the top right corner and my card was complete.

New Years Eve with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

***This post contains Affiliate Links at no extra cost to you. All links are indicated in gold.

Hello my friends!! It is the eve of 2022 and I am so happy to say good bye to 2021. I am ready for a reset!!! How about you?

Today I am on the blog with a card for CAS-Fridays Stamps. I used the Champagne Flute Dies and the Pop Fizz Clink stamp set to create this festive card.

The background heat embossed but I did a little trick. I used the Bubbly Stencil and did a direct to paper method with the Versamark Ink through the stencil. I then used gold embossing powder on top of that. I knew if I did this technique with this glitter embossing powder, it would not be perfect but I like how it came out.

All this gold made the card really difficult to photograph too!!

As a bonus, we are also blogging about our favorite card we created for the CAS-Fridays Design Team.

This was my favorite card that I created all year. I was able to get MESSY and used techniques that I haven't used in years. I also LOVE the colors. Here is the link to my original BLOG POST to see how I created this card.
