Popping in With a Few Challenge Cards

Hey Friends!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

I am popping in with a few cards I created for some challenges. One of my New Year's goals was to create more cards for challenges so here I am!!!

My first card I created for two challenges. I used the colors from The Color Throwdown #725 and the TGIF Challenges #403.

The Color Throwdown  was to use the colors red, green and brown on a project.

The TGIF Challenge this week was a sketch challenge, which I decided to make it portrait angle.

For my card, I used a Stampin Up! embossing folder, a Simon Says Stamp die cut and a Kat Scrappiness leaf.

I added some clear sparkle pen inside the Copic colored flowers and Glossy Accents.

One of my other goals is to use products that I already have colored in, die cut or stamped. I have sixteen small drawers where I put these "extras" as I call them and my goal is to use them up.

For my second card, I created with my extras.

Instead of a white background, I used embossed a piece of red cardstock. I used the same Simon Says Stamp! flower die and a leaf from Kat Scrappiness.

The sentiment is from The Ton.

For my next card, I created for the Global Design Team Project challenge.

The challenge was to CASE the image below.

I used some white embossing ink on a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder and embossed a piece of purple cardstock.

The intricate flower die is from Altenew and the butterfly is from Pinkfresh Studio. Everything, besides the embossed background, was from my "extra" drawer.

Well, that is all from me today!!! I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS day!!

New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone!!!

I cannot believe a week has gone by in the new year. I am so hoping that 2023 is better than 2022 was. I have some resolutions this year but keeping them quiet until I form a habit. Maybe I will tell you next month!!

Today I am popping in with the detail for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #560. It is a theme challenge this time. Get your thinking hat on and create a card with the theme of "winter fun."

I am not going to lie, this was hard for me. I do not see winter as fun. I LOVE the cold but HATE snow. I decided to create my first Christmas card for 2023.

I treated myself to some fabulous products this December, one being the Spellbinder's *"Tiered Tray Decor." I HAD to use the little gnome that came with it. Isn't it so cute?

Below is the badge for Cupcake Inspirations biweekly challenge.

I paired the little guy with some trees that I die cut using the "Tall Trees" dies from The Stamp Market.

To be truthful, I have no idea what stamp I used for the sentiment. I cleaned up my stash and put it away before I posted my card.

Are you ready to play with use over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog? I cannot wait to see what you create!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

 Happy Monday!!

Just popping in to say that there is still time to play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #559. It is a "Happy Holidays" theme this time around.

Below is the badge being used for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #559. It is the LAST challenge of 2022!!!

She generously donated this adorable image that I used on my card. I LOVE these gnomes!!

I colored these gnomes in with Copic Markers and used a Spellbinders die for the snowflake border.

I added some glitter glue for some of the snow areas and used Glossy Accents and a Shimmer pen on other tiny areas.

I hope you hop on over and join us for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #559. I look forward to seeing what you create!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Today is the LAST Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for the year of 2022!! For the next two weeks, it is a theme challenge of "Happy Holidays."

Here is the card I created for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #559.

And we have a sponsor once again!! This time around it is Laurie Furnell Ink

She generously donated the image that I used to created my card this week.

I chose to use colored pencils to color in the images on my card this week. I know the coloring is not seamless but I wanted a "sketchy" look for this card. I wanted it to look hand drawn.

I also did not use a sentiment on it and this, again, was a design choice. I LOVE how this came out!!!

I hope that you join us for Cupcake Inspirations #559. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

While my main colors are NOT these colors, if you look, I did use them on this card. I did this mainly to show that sometimes you can think outside of the box for the challenge and still enter!!!

This week we have a SPONSOR for the challenge!!!

Prize:
2 Cut Files or 2 Digital stamps of your choice
