Today I am joining in on the Runway Inspired Challenge. The challenge was to use the image below as inspiration to create a card.
Here is the card that I created.
I started off with a white card stock base and stamped a grid pattern with a Prima stamp on the left in gray. (No, I did not stamp straight but I tried to cover it up with the yellow die cut. ShShhh!) Then I cut a 3 1/2" by 5 1/4" piece of black card stock and adhered it to the white base.
I used my Silhouette to die cut a piece of Stampin Up! "Summer Sun" card stock. Next I stamped a circle using an Avery Elle stamp and punched it out with a 1 3/4" circle. I then stamped the sentiment in gray on the circle and the "Sunshine" in orange zest on white card stock and cut it out.
The last thing I did was to layer everything on the card using foam adhesive. I like how it came out BUT I should have fussy cut the "Sunshine" sentiment. I just wanted to finish the card in time!!
Here is a closer look.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look at my card.

Love the design of your card - especially the yellow sunrays!
ReplyDeleteHi Nora - what a pretty card! Your sun/rays is an eye-catching focal point, and that 'hint' of grid paper along the side is such a special touch! I see we'll be classmates at Insider! Looking forward to seeing what you'll be sharing!

Such a fabulous take on the Runway picture. That die cut makes a wonderful focal point.
ReplyDeleteall of it is cool, but I especially like how it is offset with the rays!
