It has been an exhausting last four days for me. My sister had a graduation party for my nephew. It is hard to believe he is eighteen!! We had lots of family in and one of my cousins stayed here for one night with her family. It was so much fun!! I don't see them that much as they live in Georgia but when we get together it is like we have never been apart. Char had a blast with the kids and was sorry to see them leave.
As usual, I created this card last week for the Card Concept Challenge #13 and never photographed it.
I seem to fall by the wayside with challenges by not photographing my creations immediately after I finish them. By the time I take the picture, the challenge is often over. I have to figure out a way to be more organized I guess.
This CC #13 challenge closes tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I actually uploaded the card on time. The challenge was to create a baby card in one of their styles. I am entering into the "Clean and Layered" category.
I started this card by knowing that I wanted to emboss a simple border on the pink panel in white. I used a Studio Calico stamp to do this technique. I then die cut a scrap of Doodlebug Design patterned paper and used foam adhesive to adhere it to the front of the card. Next I die cut and stamped the elephant using a PTI stamp. I layered this over the patterned paper, making sure I left room on the bottom for the sentiment.
I then stamped and embossed a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp onto a piece of die cut green apple card stock. I adhered this to the card using foam adhesive. The last steps were to adhere some enamel dots and a google eye.
Isn't it cute? I love the google eye and the fun sentiment.
I am also going to enter this into Simon Says Stamp "Work it Wednesday" challenge.
I thank you for stopping by and hope that you have a wonderful Wednesday!!

ReplyDeleteTHanks for all the delightful comments over at my blog!! You asked about that cubby shelf - I have sad news it was purchased at least 8 or 9 years ago at Target!! Maybe they have something like it still, it was in the children's room decor area and had pastel colored baskets for each cubby!! You are amazing - thanks for all the support!!
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie, and love the added hearts! Sweet card!
ReplyDeleteNora....back again. Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my 12 kits post. You got it right. One of our group sends makes 12 kits all the same and then mails them out and we all use the supplies to make our cards. We have been doing this for about 3 years I believe and I look forward to getting my kit every month, it is like Christmas. It is so much fun to play with supplies that I do not own and get to sort of test drive. Enjoy your week!
