Friday with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!! Is everyone ready for Christmas? I am as ready as I will ever be!!

Today is my turn on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps Blog. I started off with making ONE card but wound up making THREE!!! Sometimes that just happens, you know? I am warning you ahead of time that this post is a bit heavy on the photos.

It all started off with my first card.

I created this card using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Sugar Plum Fairy stamp set, the Ornament Tag and Funky Flakes Fri-dies.

I started off by using the Ornament Tag and Funky Flakes dies to create a decorative die cut frame.

I used white card stock as the base of all my die cuts.

I then sandwiched the snowflakes between the two circle "frames" I created.

I cut off the excess snowflake edges and  decided to coat everything in Versamark ink and gold embossing powder. I actually did a couple passes with the ink and powder because on the first try I stuck my finger in the hot powder and smudged it. Ouch!

As this piece was drying, I created a circle mask and did some ink blending on a white, A2 card front. I added some water droplets over the top of the blending and dried it with a heat tool.

I then stamped the sentiment in one of the ink colors and added the snowflake frame on top.

I had so much fun making this card that I created a second one using a square frame this time.

Instead of embossing the frame, I left it white. The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays Lovely Blessings stamp set and I added a Fun-Fetti heart I die cut in red and covered with a sparkle pen.

When I was done, I noticed that I had a white circle with the negative of one of the snowflakes that I had die cut for my first card. It kept calling to me as I was cleaning up. Here is the card that I created using that small scrap as my inspiration.

I layered the white scrap over the pink glitter circle to make an ornament out of it. I used the Ornament Tag Fri-die for the whole ornament.

I layered my ornament over some pink polka dot paper and silver card stock that matched the top of the ornament. I used the Christmas Sparkle stamp set for the embossed sentiment.

My last step was to add sequins randomly over the card front.

Okay, I promise I am DONE!! I apologize for all my photos today but I was on a roll with all of these cards. If any of you would like to buy any of the dies or stamps I used today, head on over to CAS-ual Fridays and use my code: nora2017 for 15% off of your order. This includes sale items too!!
