Hello everyone!! It is Sunday here in blog land and I hope you are having a great weekend.
Today I am on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog. I created a card using the Somebunny Stamp Set and matching Bunny Fri-dies.
I actually made this card for my daughter. She will be going away to college in the fall and I am already making cards to put away to send to her. How sad is that? I am going to miss her so much!!
I started off this card by making a night sky background by layering Distress Inks and then literally shaking white, gold and silver mist over the top.
When that dried, I layered it over a white A2, top folding card. I stamped the sentiment from the Somebunny stamp set in blue on a white card stock strip and adhered it over the sky.
I then adhered a bunny that I had stamped and colored in using Copic Markers. I used tiny dots in various shades of brown to get a fur like look. I colored his tail and tummy with grays using the same technique.
What would a card be without using my favorite Fun-Fetti Fri-dies? I die cut stars out of gold, silver and white paper. I then added some glitter glue over the top of the white stars and I was done.

I want to thank you for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

This card is stunning, Nora!!! I can't get over how beautiful your background is...Such a gorgeous way to create a night sky! And that bunny! Omg, so sweet! I can't even imagine what it must feel like to know your daughter is moving soon...I hope it's near so that you're able to visit often. And I'm sure she will love having your cards a sweet reminder of home :)

ReplyDeleteAwesome Nora!! your daughter will love getting your cards. I think it is a wonderful idea you had to begin building a stash of cards to send her.
