Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you are all having a great start to your week.
I am popping in with a couple of cards I created. The first was inspired by Happy Little Stampers CAS Tis the Season Challenge and the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #245-Anything Goes.
I am obsessed with these little snowmen from Hello Bluebird but I DO NOT WANT REAL SNOW anytime soon!!
I did some stenciling with SSS Falling Snow Stencil and modeling paste. When it dried, I added an MFT snowflake die cut in the middle.
I then added some images from Hello Bluebird's "Frosty Friends" and "Frosty Littles" stamp sets. I did a bunch of experimentation in coloring my snowmen so each one is different.
The sentiment is also Hello Bluebird. It is from their "Typed Christmas" stamp set. I have an affinity for typed sentiments and tend to purchase them when I don't need them!!
Finishing touches to my card include Orange Stickles on the nose, Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and Glossy accents on the bird and scarf. Even my CAS cards have to have a bit of shine or they don't seem finished!!
My second card is another snowman card I created for a previous Freshly Made Sketches but then didn't post in time.
I created the background using different pink Distress Inks and some acrylic paint that I had watered down and spritzed with a tooth brush.
Again, I used another Hello Bluebird Snowman, along with a SSS Snowflake die cut.
I know that all these cards are pretty simple but I have a ton to make and send this year unless I can get my daughter to have a photo shoot at Thanksgiving.
I like the simple sentiments too. I have not stamped any inside yet but will do that later.
On a different subject, has anyone been doing the coloring challenge?
Here are two days of coloring that I did on Friday and Saturday.
I added some sparkle onto the tree too but did not take a photo of that. Will be fun to make cards with these later.
That is all from me today!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Wow, how come I never heard of these cute little stamps? You sent me scurrying to their website where I am itching to get some for myself! Your cards are adorable, I love the details and yet they are still simple and CUTE! TFS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards with gorgeous coloring! And, love those little snowman, so cute!
ReplyDeleteThose little snowmen are adorable, and I love how you gave them both a snowflake background, but they are both so different! Your coloring is gorgeous, Nora!
ReplyDeleteAren't these just the cutest snowman ever??? I swore I wouldn't buy many cute stamps any more - I just don't have the need. But Hello Bluebird gets me every time - and I especially love the snowmen. I love the detail you added to each with Stickles and shimmer. The big snowflakes are a great accent. I love the pink background with the splatters of snowy white!
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of itty bitty snowmen! These are as sweet as they can be Nora. And holy smokes to the coloring on those raspberries!!
ReplyDeleteWow! The coloring on your berries is exquisite! Can't wait to see your finished project!
ReplyDeleteHi Nora!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you popped over to say Hi! I don't know of any other 'dedicated' snippets challenge to be truthful (now and then some other ones will have it as a single challenge though), but I'm so very delighted that Karen found me and then offered and also agreed to be my GD for November. I think we'll all pick up a few tips from her - and we have do nippets Playground Playmates all over the World.
And, I post my prizes all over the World as well. Each Christmas I run a huge draw with prizes most days, so long as folk enter just one card over the two weeks challenge (easy peasy isn't it and no catch!) - but also remember to comment a 'yes please' on prizes they'd like to win.
And back to you, please do come and play, I have you noted as playing for the prize but obviously you need to be in Mr Linky for your number to be picked.
I love your blog, and just a wee snippet of stamped white qualifies. Really in love with your CAS cars, so elegant! I'm looking for inspiration with snippets of course but also lovely designs for folk to be inspired by when I do my fortnightly round up, so one or just a few snippets is fine! Is it a lot of work at this end - you bet! BUT, for now, I wouldn't change it one little bit :)
Finally, for now - I so hope darling Zack is doing better. He has a smile just like our Dudley Dog! Who sends him loving woofs.
Hugs
Di xx
