Popping in with some New Cards

Hey Friends!!!

Happy Saturday!! I am popping in with a some cards I created for some challenges.

The first cards I used the same basic design but experimented with the colors of the greenery and layering when I put together each card.

I used The Greetery Garden Tub Die, Garden Tub Filler Die, Botanicuts Dies, All Occasion Script Sentiments Stamps and a mix of embossing folders and inks to create these cards.

Each card was inspired by some challenges. The first card was inspired by Make My Monday Challenge #247-Use a Die or Punch.

I used an old Martha Stewart butterfly trio punch for my butterflies. The center of all the flower on this card are various colors of Nuvo Drops.

My second card I am entering into the Just Us Girls Challenge #766 Green.

My card is NOT all green but I have a ton of different greens in the leaves. In fact, I think I used at least 5 different Distress Inks to create the colors for my leaves.

Instead of Nuvo Drops for the flower centers, I used different colored gems.

I cut apart the Garden Tub Filler Die and layered them over each other to fill out the tub out a bit more.

The next cards are just a bit different, each with a unique embossed background.

Once again I cut apart the tub filler die and layered them a bit differently for this card.

My last card is again just slightly different than the rest. I LOVE how these came out and am so happy to be using my stash. I have had these dies forever and am trying to dig things out that I had to have but never used.

My next two cards are masculine cards. They both were inspired by three challenges-The Male Room Challenge #196-Mixed Media, The Inspire. Create Challenge #188-Masculine and The Color Throwdown #828.

I used some pattern papers, die cuts, Distress Ink and stamping to create my cards. They were so much fun to create!! The papers/die cuts are from 49 & Market. I am too lazy to get the links right now as I want to get this posted!!

For this card, I used three different papers for the background. I added some die cuts, a printed sentiment with Distress Ink and some stickers to create my sentiment.

The fun of this card is that it is not meant to be "perfect."

For my  next card, I used the bottom of a piece of paper, some die cuts, part of the label of the pattern paper pack and a stamp to create my card.

This color scheme and type of card is so out of the box for me. I LOVE how it came out though. The images on the paper were perfect for that sentiment.

Well that is enough for me today. I apologize for this post being so long. I had a lot of photos I wanted to get in.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

Nora

  5. Once you had the dies and inks out, you really went to town with your buckets of greens, Nora. Our challenge didn't have to be all green since it was a word challenge. I'm impressed with all the greens you used and the way you made each card just a little different. Thanks so much for sharing one of them with us at Just Us Girls.

  10. Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition from JUGS, Nora! It really stood out to me not only for how many cards you made, but how you made each fabulous design! I used the same pot filler and my card pales in comparison, so I really appreciate these ideas for how to use the die next to have it shine! That tub is amazing! Hugs, Darnell

  12. The use of the Garden Tub Die and Garden Tub Filler Die, paired with textured embossing backgrounds and layered die cuts, showcases such creativity and versatility in your designs. The vibrant greenery achieved with multiple Distress Inks adds a stunning range of tones, and I love the elegant touch of colorful Nuvo Drops and butterfly accents as flower centers. Your masculine cards also stand out with their mixed media elements—patterned papers, stamping, and die cuts come together to create striking designs with a rugged charm. The use of labels, stickers, and printed sentiments adds a bold and unique flair. Thank you, Nora, for visiting my blog—I hope to see you back again soon!
