A Simple Christmas Card

Hey Crafty Friends!!

I am popping in with a card that I created for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #759. I have not been able to make a card just for fun lately as I have been busy creating for an upcoming release.

I had fun layering the Birch Press Designs Forest Leaf and Berries Contour Layers dies over some Craft Consortium red paper and a white embossed panel. The embossing folder is Linen by Spellbinders.

I used some Tim Holtz Rock Candy Glitter over my berry bunch. I used the Merry die from SSS and CZ Design for the simple sentiment. I chose to do a gold sentiment in an attempt to bring out the gold from the background. It is really hard to see though.

Below is the Freshly Made Sketches sketch I used for my inspiration:

On another note, I took the Tim Holtz Halloween Laboratory class last Saturday and HAD A BLAST creating a Halloween Vignette. I am a crafter and have made many ornaments, miniature furniture and soft sculptures but never something like this.

Tim is a FABULOUS instructor and I sent this off to my daughter this week. She LOVED it!!

All the tiny details were so much to make. I added the spider web myself. Not sure I love it but it is staying.

After this class, I decided to join in on the Christmas Class on November 21st. I even received my kit already!

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!

Nora
