Today I am going to share a card that I created for a challenge at the Winnie and Walter August Release Blog. It was in conjunction with Simon Says Stamp to make a one layer card.
To be honest, I am not a one layer card girl. I always wind up messing up, even when I plan it all out and do a mock up, which I did with this card. As usually, I then try to go adding things and comes out totally different!!
I used two stamp sets on this-"Big Bang Bling" from Winnie and Walter and "Talk Bubbles 2" from Simon Says Stamp.
To begin, I stamped a middle area of shapes with PTI Tropical Teal Ink onto Teal card stock. I started with the rectangle stamp, followed by the "Hi", then stamped sequins etc. I then added all the other elements from there.
I might of gotten a little carried away but I kind of like it. I think if I created it again, I would stamp in a few different colors on white. However, my own internal challenge was to use the teal and add some gold accents. I am trying to think outside my comfort zone.
I thank you for stopping by. I hope the rest of your day is fabulous!!

What a fun, way cool card - I think my husband who is a computer techie would love this kind of design!! It looks tech-is to me!! You made something really fabulous and perfect for someone who is tech savvy!! Love the sequin details!
ReplyDeleteFabulous one layer card. I have to agree with you too, I am not so good at one layer card but yours is just amazing and like Taunya said, it does have a techie look to it. So fun.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for reaching outside your comfort zone with the teal card and with making a OLC, Nora! I think you did a fantastic job of stamping your "Big Bang" design and the gold accents are the perfect bling for it!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI really like this one, it totally looks like a computer motherboard to me, so cool!
