Today I am sharing a card I created for the Winnie and Walter Sketch challenge.
For this challenge, you had to use a sketch, use a stamp set from Winnie and Walter and at least one Simon Says Stamp original product.
Since I only own one stamp set from Winnie and Walter, I used the "Big Bang Bling" set to stamp the sequins. Can I tell you how much I LOVE this stamp set? It is so fun to use!!
I used black ink to stamp the sequin outlines and then filled them in with five different types of Ranger Distress Ink. I then went in and stamped a few stars in Squeezed Lemonade ink from the SSS "My Stars" set.
I then misted the white card front with a citron mist spray.
While that was drying, I die cut the "happy" three times from teal card stock. I then glued the three die cuts together to give the word a little dimension. The "happy" looked a little flat and needed something so I applied "glossy accents" to the front to give it some shine.
This card was a bit of a stretch for me. I don't usually use this many colors on one card. I also had to add the banners to cover up a distress ink mistake. I actually like how it came out but think I would do the sentiment in a bit of a different way next time. It is fun to play around and step out of my comfort zone sometimes, though. Keeps me fresh!
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great week!

Now if this does not make the birthday person smile, I don't know what will. What an awesome card and I love all the festive confetti stamps in so many bold and bright colors, like a party on a card.
ReplyDeleteI love all the bursts of color on this fantastically cool card!! What a feast for the eyes!! The banners going across the middle add so much and love the happy - cool to know that it can look like that with glossy accents!! I think this card is absolutely marvelous and very well done!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! It's so bright and dynamic, I love the controlled messyness of it and the sketchy feel. And great color choices too!
