Hello everyone!! I hope you have all been doing well. This weekend has been so beautiful and I have been able to walk outside in short sleeves-which has been kind of exciting.
Haven't been here in a while. I have been watching technique videos and trying some new techniques, and revisiting old.
Today I have a couple of cards that I did for some challenges.
My first card I created for CASE this Sketch #316.
I actually flipped the sketch horizontally so the "triangle" was on the left, not the right.
Original and the flipped
I used Altenew's Beautiful Peony set to stamp a triangle and used an ink blender and an eye shadow brush to color the flowers in loosely with Distress Ink.
I created the sentiment on my computer because I did not have one this size to use.
I am also going to enter this into the Card Concept Challenge #112. I was inspired by the pink flowers.
My second card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #382. I used the same set up but tried a technique that is new to me-Alex Syberia's Dotted Coloring. I didn't have the correct markers so I tried Tombow markers. It didn't come out like hers but I don't hate it.
Here is the card:
I used Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink for the background and the drips are from drawing with the markers on a craft mat and picking them up with a brush full of a water.
When I was done, I covered it with Nuvo Clear Glitter Marker. The sentiment was once again created on the computer. Sometimes it just easier than stamping!!
That is all for me today. I am off to have lunch with my friends to plan some activities we will be doing when we travel to Ireland in June. I so need a vacation!!
Have a FABULOUS day!!

I am in awe of the way you colored these - lovely 'splashes' of color!
Sympathy cards can be hard to make. Yours is truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing
Don't you just love Alex's style?! I think your card turned out great, especially as it is your first go at attempting her style. I haven't even tried yet, so you are braver than me! Thanks for playing along with this beautiful card at Freshly Made Sketches!
Beautiful cards! The technique you used to color the blue card is so fun and creates a wonderful result! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Gorgeous cards...love your sweet flowers, all of them are so beautiful!
Both of your cards are beautiful, Nora! So fun to play around with new (and old) techniques. I think I'll have to CASE your sympathy card - it's just the right balance of color and white space for the occasion.
Congratulations on being the CTS winner with your gorgeous card! Love the blended inking of the flowers, it looks so delicate, just perfect with those gorgeous peonies!
Popping back to congratulate you on the CTS win, Nora! So well-deserved!! Hugs, Darnell

Wowza ... I am loving that water coloring ... I did some today too. I'm taking a water color class with Effie from The Ton in June and can't wait to work on my flower painting skills.
