Hey Crafty Friends!!!
Ahhh!! The first week of school vacation!!! I have been busy relaxing, working out again AND CRAFTING. It is so nice to be able to get to my craft desk to create.
My first card I created for two challenges.
I used this round of the Color Hues Challenge #135 and this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I used the Petal Burst stencil by Spellbinders for my background.
The sentiment was stamped/die cut using the SSS With Sympathy Stamp set.
The black leaves were die cut with the Curvy Leaves die from Pinkfresh Studios.
My second card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #742 and the All Sorts Challenge #852.
Before I post my card, I need to preface that I really STRETCHED how the sketch inspired me. I went through die cuts that are in my "extra" pile and wanted to use the orange suitcase as the blue strip in the sketch. The hat was my "circle" and the green suitcase is the foliage. I put the sketch over my card to show how my thought process is.
I used the Honey Bee Stamps Small Suitcase dies for most of the dies on this card.
The background paper is from the Been There Collection by Arden Studio. I had fun distressing the edges on this pattern paper and layering it over an A2, top folding card base.
The sentiment is from Altenew's Sentiment Strips 3. I cut it up to fit the card. I thought it was kind of appropriate to this card.
Well that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a fabulous day!

I love your thought process, Nora! I could see Amy's sketch right away and the summery beach theme elements over the map/newsprint looks amazing! Thanks for linking this up to Freshly Made Sketches this week!

Beautiful stencil work on this bright colourful card. The black and white details are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge. Love your second make so much too. All the little details are wonderful.
A duo of delights, Nora. I'm smitten with your Petal Burst card; such a pretty way to let someone know you're thinking of them. Thank you so much for joining us at Colour Hues.

Two beautiful cards, the stenciled card and the travel card are striking with the yellow and black colors and your designs. Glad you shared the travel card with us at Allsorts challenge.
I love your gorgeous stenciled yellow and black floral design, Nora, but your grouping of vacation/travel items is so brilliant - I had no trouble finding Amy's sketch there!
Thanks so much for playing cards with us this week - and have a wonderful summer off!

Happy Summer break to you, Nora! Lucky us that now you have a bit more time to play along at Color Hues. Now, as for your card...how do I not have that gorgeous Spellbinder's stencil in my stash. It is stunning as is your card. I really love your card so much. Your other card is just fabulous as well, you definitely have a super layout! I really love that hat! Also, how cool that you showed us your layout by overlapping the pics. Brilliant! Thanks for playing at Color Hues and I hope your summer is good to you.
Great cards, Nora! I love all that yellow stenciling and the details on the die cut circle. It's a perfect! Love those suitcases and pretty sun hat too! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Color Hues!
I definitely chuckled when you overlaid the sketch over the card but I can see the sketch in there!! I love your use of the bright luggage on top of the vintage map. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
