Paper Craft Crew Challenge #256

Hey peeps. Just popping by for a quick post with two projects for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #256. I have been in the craft room trying to craft and it looks like a bomb has gone off!! (no photos-too embarrassing!!)

I created my first card using LDRS Creative's "Sweet Treats" set.

I kind of made a mess of the splattering and it went to the right of my card as well as the left. Then I put my finger in it before it was completely dry and had to use my sand eraser to fix it.

The pig was colored in with Copic markers. I used a white gel pen for the little dots on his cheeks and his eyes.

The circle he sits on was created with two types of Distress Ink and a stencil. The pig is actually on a mini action wobbler but I don't know how to put a video in a post yet.

Here is the fun sketch from the Paper Craft Crew that I used (PCC256):

For my second card, I chose to use a piece of patterned paper from Bella BLVD's "Make a Mark" 6" by 8" paper pad and die cut as my focal point.

The paper already had a fun sentiment and all I did was pop a die cut, some gold Washi tape and a few gold pearls and it was a card!!!

I was surprised at how easy it all came together!! What was even better, the die cut was a left over from one of my SJ card kits. In August we are choosing to use all the bits and pieces we didn't use in the first round.

Well that is all form me today. I am off to meet one of my friend's for breakfast. Next week is back to work so I am cramming in all my socialization this week!!

Have a fabulous day!!

A Summer Fun Card for AAA Challenge #96 and A Heart Desires Challenge #15 August 2017 Mood Board

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are enjoying your day. I have been TRYING to organize a bit of my craft stuff. I should be purging BUT cannot seem to let go of my stuff. I admire people that just let it go but as soon as I do, I wish I had it again. Am I the only one?

Have not been creating that much but BUYING a bunch. (Hence the organizing!) I am officially cut off on September 1st as I now have to start saving for Charlotte's college. We have a bit saved already but the schools that she is looking at are a bit over the budget that we had set aside.

Today I am posting a card that I created with a Copic marker scene and combining a few stamp sets. I LOVE combining my stamp sets-really helps to stretch them-but in this day and age, rarely do. I am determined to do more of it, though.

This card started off incredibly by the little LDRS Creative pig from the "Sweet Treats" set. I have been coloring them all week (more cards to come) but thought this particular piggy would look good on a beach, in a bathing suit that I drew on him.

The background I created by using my Copic Markers.  I used some photos from Pinterest to help me figure out how to do this and was surprised that this came out as well as it did. I had to shop for a bunch of Copic refills today (don't tell my husband!) because I used a TON of ink.

I die cut little clouds out of white card stock using Taylored Expressions "Little Bits Sun and Clouds" dies. On two of the clouds I used foam adhesive for a bit of pop.

I created the little towel Mr. Pig is sitting on and used one of the umbrella stamps from Pretty Pink Posh's "Rainy Days" set to help him stay out of the sun. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things "Penguins in Paradise" and the little star fish is from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Mermaids" set.

I had put a photo of the background on IG and FB before I made the card and had a few requests for a tutorial on the background. When I get my refills in I will be attempting to make my first, real video. What a scary thought!

The colors were inspired by A Heart Desires Challenge #15 August 2017 Mood Board and the scene was created for AAA Challenge #96 "Summer Fun."

I will be back tomorrow with a quick card that I created for Freshly Made Sketches Sketch #300.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!!

CAS-ual Fridays February Stamp Sneak Peek Day 1

Happy Hump Day!! I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Wednesday.

What better way to celebrate the middle of the week with a sneak peek to the new release from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Today I am sharing two projects I created with two new stamp sets-"Special Delivery" and "Heartfelt Sayings."

On my first card, I used the mailbox in "Special Delivery" as the main focus for my card. This mail box can be die cut with the previous released "Mailbox Fri-dies."

To start off my card I stamped the mailbox, the envelope and the the mailbox front again from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Special Delivery" set onto white card stock and colored the images in with Copic markers. I then added glitter glue and crystal drops in various colors over the middle of each flower on the mail box.

While these elements were was drying, I die cut two rectangles, one out of white card stock and one out of patterned paper. Over the card stock I lightly blended green and blue dye ink to create the illusion of grass and sky. I then stamped a sentiment from "Special Delivery" in black ink. I adhered both rectangles to a pink A2 top folding card. I tucked a pink circle under the inked panel.

It was time to die cut the mail box out that I had stamped and the little black flag. The mail box was a little too tall for my rectangle so I cut a bit off the bottom. I also used a craft knife to cut a slit in the left side of the mailbox front and slipped the stamped letter that I had fussy cut.

I adhered the black flag to the mailbox and added a rhinestone to give it a more shine. The last step was to pop up the lid of the mail box that I had created using foam adhesive.

Here is a sneak peek of the whole set. Don't you just love the little hearts in the sentiments?

I had so much fun coloring and will be making another project with this mailbox soon.

For my second project, I combined the "Special Delivery" and the new "Heartfelt Sayings" stamp set. The sentiments in the "Heartfelt Sayings" stamp set have little hearts in them too!

I began the card by stamping the envelope from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Special Delivery" set repeatedly onto a piece of white card stock with black dye ink. To make the envelopes look as if they were overlapping, I did a bit of masking. Next I stamped some little hearts randomly around the front.

I stamped the sentiment using the "Heartfelt Sayings" set and used my Copic markers to color everything in. I went over the hearts with a clear sparkle pen and then added some Glossy Accents over the top to give all the hearts a little more oomph.

Once the card front dried, I used a double cut frame to die cut it. I adhered the outside of the frame to a white A2 sized, top folding card.

I then used foam adhesive to the middle panel and placed it into the frame. I love the dimension it gives the card.

I have to say that this is my FAVORITE card that I created for this whole release and will be doing some others with the "Heartfelt Sayings" sentiment set.

The stamps will be in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp store starting on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Please use my code nora2017 to get a 15% discount on your total order.

I thank you for stopping by today. Check back in tomorrow for the debut of two more new stamp sets.
Have a wonderful day!!

Make It Monday #260 Challenge

Long time no post. I knew that once I went back to work my blog would be the first thing to be neglected. I think I am going to have to start scheduling stuff ahead, which I hate to do. However, if I don't, then it seems like this place just echoes.

I have not been crafting much BUT while I am relaxing with my family in front of the television after a long day, I have been doing some coloring. I decided that this weeks PaperTrey Ink "Make It Monday #236" challenge "From Black and White to Color" would be perfect for me to join in this week.

I started off by stamping and masking images from PaperTrey Ink's "Doodlie-Do" set with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink onto a white piece of card stock measuring 4" by 5 1/4." I then cut apart the left edge of the with the most stamping.

Next I used my Copic markers to color in the flowers on the largest piece of card stock. I accented the dots on some of the flowers with clear Wink of Stella to give them some shine. I also used a white gel pen on the dots on the leaves.

I mounted the panels onto a Kraft, A2, top folding card, popping the colored panel up with foam adhesive. I added a sentiment from the same stamp set which had been stamped with Versamark onto a blue card stock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I completed the card by adhering blue sequins randomly over the card front.

I apologize for these photos. I love this cake plate BUT it makes the lighting all wonky in my light box. I should have retaken the photos but I was a bit lazy this morning. I would rather craft then edit photos!

I thank you for stopping by today. Have a fabulous Saturday!!
