Day 4 and the Final Day of the CAS-ual Fridays September 2020 Release

Happy Thursday everyone!! I hope you have enjoyed the last three days of the September 2020 CAS-ual Friday release. I know I have loved playing with all the new products!!

Today I am showcasing the last new product release-Happy Birthday Fri-dies. This die goes FABULOUSLY with the previously released Happy Birthday stamp set.

I started off this card by masking off a circle on a piece of white cardstock and blending Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink together. I then spritzed a bit of water and let it dry.

I die cut the panel using a rectangle die and then adhered the "Happy Birthday" sentiment over the colored circle. I used the new Happy Birthday Fri-die to cut the sentiment from pattern paper that matched the colors of the Distress Ink.

Next I adhered the white panel to an aqua, A2, top folding card base. I took a white gel pen and dotted the edges of the blended circle.

To finish off my card, I used some Washi tape that complimented the color scheme. I LOVE the way this came out!! You don't have to do too much on the background when you have a fancy die cut like this. Who doesn't LOVE easy????

The Happy Birthday Fri-dies are available NOW, along with all the other new releases, in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store. Don't forget to use my code, NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order-including the new release!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Please be sure to hop on over to the CAS-Friday Blog to see what the other members of the design team created!!!

Have a FABULOUS day!!

Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays September 2020 Release

Happy Hump Day!!! I hope you are all doing well.

It is day three of the CAS-ual Friday September 2020 Release. Today I am sharing a project created with the new Hooray Fri-dies and the Sassy Celebration stamp set.

I started off my card by die cutting the two circles using the new Slimline Pinked Fri-dies that were introduced on the first day. I used these circles to create a stencil. I used inks in purple and green to stencil circles across the card front. I die cut the panel using the same slimline die set and adhered this to a slimline, white card base.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in black using the new Sassy Celebration stamp set. This set has such fun sentiments that make me laugh!! I paired the stamped sentiment with the Hooray Fri-die sentiment die cut in white.

I finished off my card with gold stars that I die cut using the new Slimline Pinked Fri-die.

Here is a peek at the new stamp and die set:

These new products, along with the whole release are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Store under the NEW section RIGHT NOW!!! Use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your TOTAL order!!!

Be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what the other design team members created and to be entered into a drawing for some prizes. Don't forget to hop on over to my blog tomorrow for the last day of the release!!!

A Couple of Cards using New Supplies

Hi everyone!! I hope you are all having a great Monday morning.

I am planning on cleaning out a wardrobe in my bedroom today so that I can get rid of it. I am trying to clean out at least one closet/room a day while I am off for the summer. My craft room is LAST on the list though!!

I need to clean out the computer room upstairs first because my husband said I could move my craft room to this room because it bigger! I am so excited because I get to PAINT it too! Unfortunately, that is the catch all room and it holds more stuff than I even want to think about. I tried to clean out a corner yesterday and had to stop as it overwhelmed me.

Today I have a couple of cards for some challenges. I love challenges to jump start my creativity!! I also always try to comment on the DT's of these challenge blogs when I join because I think it is the right thing to do. I know people don't have a ton of time but I figure if I have the time to post a card, I need to leave some love for them. What do you think?

My first card I was inspired by this week's Freshly Made Sketches #440.

Here is the FMS440 Sketch that inspired this card:

I used my new Pinwheel Party Stencil and Die from The Greetery to create the fun colored pinwheels on my card. I used Distress Ink that would match the pattern paper I chose to use.

The die cut alphabet is Pink Fresh Studio's Adore Alphabet the label die is Papertrey Ink.

This is not my favorite card but I don't hate it. I really struggled with the sketch, though I am not sure why. I was determined to do it, though!!

For my second card, I made a birthday card. I should have looked at some color challenges BUT I wanted to keep the card CAS so I chose to use basically red and white.

I had so much fun using the Birthday Palooza Stamp and Die set from Simon Says Stamp to create the candle border and the sentiment. I bought this set after the Online Card Class Spring Card Camp 2 after seeing some really stunning cards using this set.

The streamers are The Greetery's Twisted Crepe Dies. These are SO FUN and I can so see me using these on a TON of different cards.

I am going to enter this into Seize the Birthday Challenge-Anything GoesWWD276-Anything Goes with a Twist and the NBUS Challenge, as this is the first time I have used these products.

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. I am always happy when people see what I create.

Have a FABULOUS day!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day everyone!!

It is officially summer here in CT and the hot weather is upon us. The humidity is low, something that I am thankful for. It will be a low key day here as Charlotte is at work and Chris doesn't really like to make a big deal out of things like birthdays or Father's Day. (Unlike me who wants to be treated like a QUEEN!)

Just popping in with a "live" post today as I had some time yesterday to whip up some quick cards for some challenges.

My first card is a birthday card for the Paper Craft Crew Challenges. It is late, which is a bummer. I thought I had time but decided to watch a movie with Chris last night instead of posting. Oh well.

This was inspired the Paper Craft Crew Sketch #381, the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge WWC276 Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist and Seize the Birthday Challenge-Anything Goes.

I decided to use my new Home Brew Combo stamp and die set by Waffle Flower Crafts to create my card. I was originally making this for my nephew but remembered as I was finished that I he does not drink beer!!! However, I have a ton of people I can send my card to.

I colored in the beer glasses with Copic Markers and did some ink blending with Distress Inks on the beer bottle (Mowed Lawn) and the icon (Mustard Seed and Wild Honey).

I also flicked some Walnut Stain in the background but the icon covered up most of it.

I die cut the stars from silver mirrored cardstock using the Fun-Fetti Fri-dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

I am not great at making masculine cards so I am so happy how this turned out!!!

For my second card, I used the Waffle Flower Home Brew Combo stamp and die set, as well as the Be a Panda die set to make my husband a father's day card. My husband LOVES pandas so I had to use it. My daughter gave this to him for Father's Day and wrote the SWEETEST note inside!!

Yes, my panda is holding a beer!! My husband LOVES craft beer and likes to try all different kinds so this was perfect for him!!

The speech bubble is a retired die from Simon Says Stamp.

The background was a scrap from My Mind's Eye that is probably about ten years old!!!

I even decorated the inside a bit. Can you tell that I just LOVE this set? I rarely buy from Waffle Flower but when I do, I LOVE what I create!!

That is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope everyone has a FABULOUS day!!!

Try to stay cool!!

Make a Wish

Hello everyone!! Just popping in with a card I created for some challenges. I actually created most of it last night but die cut the panel today and added it to a card front.

My inspiration for this card was this weeks CASE this Sketch #376 and the Inspired by Challenge photo. I was inspired by the colors in the photo. The orange blanket, the little tufts of color-it just made me happy!!

I used an old stamp from Papertrey Ink, Cupcake Collections, for my image and sentiment.

I originally was trying to make this a one layer card to enter into AAA Card Challenge BUT when I took the tape off the stencil I used, it ripped the side a tiny bit and I had to alter my design. Hate when that happens!!

I did go overboard on the Stickles frosting but that is fine. I like the sparkle.

Well that will be it from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by! Have a
FABULOUS night!

My Homework for the Spring Card Camp 2

Happy Mother's Day everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful day.

Charlotte had to work today so I didn't get to spend it with her. My husband made me a delicious Dutch Apple Pancake for breakfast, I went for a walk with my neighbor who I have been walking with throughout this whole shelter in place, brought a plant to my sister, who I have not seen in forever, and Chris made me a delicious dinner. It was a nice day all around. If you wondered, I did social distance at my sister's. Very windy day here and we all sat out in her driveway at a distance and talked. It was really nice

So now for my cards!! I have had a nice weekend watching the videos from the Spring Card Camp 2 from Online Card Classes. I have been behind in both the classes and the homework is I have had so much to do at work.

Day 1 of the card camp was all about masking.

I used Honey Bee Stamps "Zen Floral" stamps to stamp flowers around a circle that I had masked off in the center so I could put the sentiment. Not sure if this is what the teachers had in mind but I have to be different!

The colors were inspired by The Color Throwdown #592 and the Sketch is my interpretation of CASE this Sketch #371.

Not only did I mask the circle but when I stamped the Stamplorations "Be Somebody" sentiment, I masked off parts so I could stamp it first in gold, then in teal and the last in turquoise.

I will be honest, this is rather busy for me but I do like how it came out.

I wanted to utilize my smaller stamps again in a different way and I thought these would be fun.

My next card is homework for Day 4 of the Spring Card Camp 2. The challenge was to make a Statement with a Sentiment.

To be honest, I didn't have a ton sentiment sets to choose from. I have a lot of stamp sets AND sentiment strips sets but nothing out of the box like the sets that were used. SOOOO, I got a bit creative. I decided to use one large word and then use a phrase at the bottom. I used MY FAVORITE birthday set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps,  "Shenanigans".

In the lesson, the paper used was cardstock. I decided to go through my paper scraps and pulled out a mix of pattern paper and cardstock to use. I even used heat embossing because that is what was used in the video lesson-and heat embossing is not my favorite thing to do!!

Well, that is all from me today. I did do part of my homework from Day 2 but still need to finish my project. I also need to work on today's homework.

Before I go, I want to show you what Charlotte left me on the counter this morning so I could have it when I got up.

My FAVORITE chocolates, some "love mom" socks, a hydrangea candle and the most beautiful card. All I really cared about was the card. She writes the SWEETEST notes to me that melt my heart!!

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!
