Some More Winter Cards...

Happy Hump Day!!

Today I am popping in with a couple of more cards I created using some old and new stuff from my stash. All the little colored images were stamped and colored in over this past year. This is what I do when I have no mojo. Coloring also helps me relax and we all know we have needed that in 2020!! I added them over some backgrounds that I am OBSESSED with making.

For my first card, I used a combination of Hello Bluebird and Mama Elephant images.

I started off by masking the background so that only a circle of the panel showed and I blended the background with Ranger Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I then stenciled some "snow" using Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil. I added the Hello Bluebird Holiday Flurries snowflakes stamped with SSS Steel Blue dye ink.

I used Simon Says Stamps Stitched Hill dies to create two hills and die cut them to fit the circles. I used some gray and blue Copic markers to shade the hills in.

I added a house and tree from Lawn Fawn's Winter Village stamp set. I added a snowman from Mama Elephants Little Snowman Agenda set.

I completed my card by stamping a sentiment in black using Mama Elephant's Mini Message stamp set and applying some Nuvo Glitter Accents for snow.

I am entering this card into a couple of challenges. Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-layer it up. I layered the background up with blending, stamping and stenciling. I am also entering this card into this weeks Inkspirational Challenge #230-Mask. I masked the circle background on my card.

For my next card, I did a series of three circles that I masked and did the same background treatment on as the first card.

I then layered little bits that I had colored in previously, as well as die cuts, to create my scene.

The elves are from Mama Elephant's Little Elf Agenda. The presents are from My Favorite Things Birdie Brown set Jingle All The Way and the wagon is from the Lawn Fawn's Lets Go Nuts stamp set. I was not lying when I said I mixed a ton of companies together!!

I cannot tell you who made the snowflakes as I have a container filled with them from different companies. I like that I have them ready to take out and use on a whim.

My sentiment is from the same Mama Elephant set as above. (excuse that little heart you see in the photo on the snowflake. Apparently it was on my desk and stuck to it and I didn't notice until I was going through the photos!)

I am entering this card into some challenges as well. Darling Cardmakers Winter Blessings Badge-I used the snowflake as my inspiration. I am entering this card into Addicted to Stamps and More... Make Your Mark Challenge for all the coloring I did on these images.

Well that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!

Affogato Your Birthday-CAS-ual Fridays Post

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I have Monday off so I definatly am!!

Today I have a card using CAS-ual Fridays Coffee Products. The coffee products are 20% off in the CAS-Fridays store today, September 19th and 20th, 2020!!!

I started off this card by using the By the Beans Stencil on kraft cardstock using Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I then blended Vintage Photo along the edge of the entire card base.

Next I die cut the to go cup using the To Go Cup Fri-dies out of a piece of orange pattern paper and white cardstock. I adhered this over the stenciled background.

I stamped an orange heart using the Peace, Love and Coffee set onto a white circle that I had lying on my desk. To soften the white, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the top. I then used some foam to adhere it over the coffee cup.

My last step was to stamp the sentiment from the Coffee'isms stamp set using Lawn Fawn Walnut dye ink.

Though the coffee products are on sale, you can still use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order!!

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Be sure to hop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see some FABULOUS cards made by the other DT members.

Have a lovely day!!

Make a Wish

Hello everyone!! Just popping in with a card I created for some challenges. I actually created most of it last night but die cut the panel today and added it to a card front.

My inspiration for this card was this weeks CASE this Sketch #376 and the Inspired by Challenge photo. I was inspired by the colors in the photo. The orange blanket, the little tufts of color-it just made me happy!!

I used an old stamp from Papertrey Ink, Cupcake Collections, for my image and sentiment.

I originally was trying to make this a one layer card to enter into AAA Card Challenge BUT when I took the tape off the stencil I used, it ripped the side a tiny bit and I had to alter my design. Hate when that happens!!

I did go overboard on the Stickles frosting but that is fine. I like the sparkle.

Well that will be it from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by! Have a
FABULOUS night!

Love You a Latte

Happy Friday!! I am celebrating today with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog for their Spring/Summer Blog Hop!

I created a card with the CAS-Friday's new Coffee Chips chipboard. It is available NOW in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store.

I started off my card by using the By the Beans Stencil and Ground Espresso Distress Ink to create a background.

When I was done stenciling, I ran the stencil and my stenciled background through my die cut machine to dry emboss the panel. This gave the stenciling a slightly raised look as you can see in the photo below.

I then adhered my background to an A2, top folding card base. This card was inspired by last weeks Freshly Made Sketches #435 so I adhered some paper strips from my scrap card as indicated by the sketch below. If you are new to my blog, I often use sketches when making most of my cards. Some are from challenges, others I create myself.

Next I used the Coffee'isms stamp set to to stamp part of my sentiment with red ink onto a circle die cut.

I adhered the circle to my card front using foam adhesive to give it a little pop.

The "latte" sentiment is from the new Coffee Chips  chipboard, which I inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink to match the background, before adhering under the stamping.

My last step was to adhere a chipboard heart that I had covered with Candy Apple Distress Ink, Aqua Shimmer Pen and some Glossy Accents.

I had so much fun putting this card together and I hope that you like it!! Hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see more great coffee cards from the design team.

Smile: Happiness is Contagious!!

Happy Friday!!

Just popping in with a card I created for the Online Card Class: Spring Card Camp 2. I am so happy that I took this class!! So far the techniques have been ones I have used but then the designers KICKED them up a notch!!

Yesterday's homework was to make your own stripes. Here is the card I created.

I used the colors from a Design Seeds color card to pick the colors for this card. I wanted to try to step out of my comfort zone!!

I originally wanted to make it a one layer card but as always happens, I tore my paper when taking off some of the tape and had to improvise.

I used Honey Bee Stamps "Zen Floral Stamps" to stamp inside most of my stripes that I blended on this card.

I stamped "Smile," a sentiment from My Favorite Things, in black on the striped panel and then emphasized it with a Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and Glossy Accents. It almost looks like it is a die cut!!

I will be creating my next homework assignment after work to post tomorrow. I have never been successful with the next technique so cross your fingers that I can get it to work!!!

I am also going to be posting this on the NBUS Challenge Blog as I have had these Honey Bee Stamps for a while but have never used them.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Birthday Card for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #302, Seize the Birthday, and Freshly Made Sketches Sketches #349

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a great day. It was a very hot day today so I spent some time in my craft room. I created some cards for some challenges.

My first card is a birthday card.

I used the Hello Bluebird "Pig Day" and My Favorite Things Stamp "Happy Hippos" to create my card.

I masked off the back to make a background with Twisted Citrus and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

The images were colored in with Copic Markers. I covered certain parts with a Sparkle Marker and Glossy Accents.

My next card I created using Freshly Made Sketches #349 as my inspiration.

I started off using the Doodlebug Design "Happy" die cut from the Sweet Summer. I used patterned paper from the coordinating 6 by 6 Sweet Summer Collection paper pad.

The hippo is from My Favorite Things "Happy Hippos" stamp set. They were colored in using Copic markers. The balloons were covered with Sparkle marker and Glossy Accents.

The "birthday" stamped sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink.

I am sending both these cards off to college with Charlotte to use for friends' birthdays.

Now one more card that I created for a private FB board I am on.

I made this for a friend that lost his mother. The cross is from "Paper Smooches," the flowers are Simon Says Stamp and I am not sure where the stencil is from.

The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink.

Well that is all from me today. I thank you for stopping by. Have a great night!!
