Time for a New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges

Hello friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card that I created for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #563. It is a color challenge for the next two weeks. Create a project with the colors sky blue, pink and red

I decided to create a fun birthday card for this week.

I am going to admit that my sky blue on this card is a bit dark. I could not get it to stencil lightly!!!

For my stamps, I used the My Favorite Things "Birthday Chicks" stamps and dies (retired).

Below is the badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #563.

Looking at the badge, I probably should have used flowers. However, I was in the mood for "fun" and these stamps were what called to me.

I hope you come over and join us at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Using My Stash to Create Cards

Hey Friends!! Happy Hump Day!

Today I am popping in with a couple of cards I created. The first card I am posting is one I made for a couple of challenges.

The challenges that inspired this card are Freshly Made Sketches #569 for my card design and The Color Hue Challenge #56 for the color scheme of pink and red.

The Gerda Steiner Designs panda bear was stamped and colored in with Copic Markers. This has been in my little drawer of "extras" for a long time.

The present is from Hero Arts (from JoAnn's-not in stock). This was in my stash too. I did create my blended and embossed background to match the colors in the present. It is a tiny bit lighter than the photo but I couldn't fix it in Photoshop.

The sentiment is new to me and made by Altenew.

I love how this came out. I also had fun going through my "extras" to find these images.

My second card is just because. I had extras from some cards I created for Kat Scrappiness so I decided to use one to make a card.

I added some glitter glue for my "whip cream" which is created by a doughnut die!!!

The only thing that isn't Kat Scrappiness is the embossed background.

I love how this came out and I can add it to my Christmas card stash for next year!!

One more thing before I go. One thing I like to do to relax is to bake. Monday I had the day off from work and so I tried out a recipe to make Lemon Scones.

I had never created this recipe and was not sure how it would bake up because the dough was VERY sticky. The only thing I did wrong with this recipe is that I should have baked them for a minute or two longer. However, I thought they were quite delicious!!!

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

Challenge #554 is all about using hot pink, black and white on a card.

For my card, I combined Spellbinders Color Block Mini Drop dies and a Simon Says Stamp! stencil for my card. It was so much fun to create!!

The sentiment is the Layered Mix and Match Sentiments from the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club

Well, that is all from me today. Please join us at Cupcake Inspirations Challenges for this color challenge. I cannot wait to see what you created!!!

A Birthday Card for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #550

Hello friends!! I hope you are all doing well. August is ticking away fast and I do not want it to!! I don't want to go back to work on the 23rd. I am not ready!!

Today I am popping in with a card I created for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

For the next two weeks, Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #550 is a color challenge. It is to use PINK, GRAY and WHITE on a card.

I had a ton of fun making this card. I started out by stenciling a card front in a peachy pink. I then used a fun image from Colorado Crafts that I had colored in ages ago with Copic Markers.

I added a die cut from Altenew beneath my little mice and the sentiment is from The Ink Spot.

I just adore how this card came out and it was so easy when you use things you have already colored and cut in your stash!!

To join us for the next two weeks, hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Blog and enter your project. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

 Hi friends!!

Today I am stopping by with the new challenge from Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. This week we have a sponsor-Pixel Paper Prints!!! The shop generously donated the Unicorns and Rainbow Digital Stamps for the Design Team to use.

I chose to create a cute birthday card using the challenge colors of Purple, Lavender and Pink and some fun "magical" images from Pixel Paper Prints for this weeks card.

Aren't these images fun? I chose to print a bunch of them around my card and then highlight my main unicorn in the challenge colors. Below is the badge for this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #546.

These colors just SHOUT unicorn, don't they? I created the sentiment using fonts that I have on my computer.

After I popped my little colored unicorn onto the card with foam adhesive, I went around the card, and image, with little bits of Diamond Stickles for a fun look.

I hope you choose to join us this week at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. There will be prizes awarded to two random entries!! Please click the link above to see all the details!

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Using Printed Die Cuts on a Card with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #544

Hello everyone!! Just popping in with a card I created for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #544. It is the second week of the challenge and it is a THEME challenge.

What is the theme you might ask? STRIPES!!!

I love stripes and I could have created 20 cards with this theme. However, I only had time for one. I decided to use some new supplies that I bought last week. I absolutely LOVE Pinkfresh Studio's Life Right Now paper and floral ephemera.

I added a Paper Smooches die cut frame and a butterfly from Spellbinders Butterfly Burst Dies.

I used Stickles on the flowers to jazz them up and the sentiments are from my stash. Easy Peasy!!!

I hope that you will hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog to play with us this week!! I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

The inks were a mixture of a bunch from my stash-all different companies and many are no longer for sale.

The sentiment is Art Deco Birthday Greetings from Poppy Stamps.

That is all from me today. I hope that you join us over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #539

Happy Monday everyone!! It is time for a NEW Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! The next two weeks is a theme challenge-PETS. Below is a simple card I created for this theme.

Below is the badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #539.

We have a fabulous sponsor for the two week challenge-NEWTON's NOOK. They are giving away a $25 prize to Newton's Nook Designs Shop to a random winner.

I did not have any Newton's Nook stamps so I used some pet stamps from Mama Elephant.

This little panel has been around in my stash for a while now and I am so happy to be using it on a card. I layered the stamped square over some scrap pattern paper.

I hope you join us this week with a fun creation. Hop on over to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog to play. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

Just Us Girls Challenge Guest Design Week 4-Photo Week #607

Some Affliate Links are used in this post. Please see my Affiliate Link Policy.

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a FABULOUS week.

I have been so busy trying to get my head above water this week with cleaning, designing and adding a work out into my day. I wish my body didn't need a work out because it is time that I could use doing things I LIKE TO DO!!!

Today I am here with another card as a Guest Designer for the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog. This weeks Challenge #607 was to use a photo as the inspiration. Below is what I created.

The challenge badge inspired me for a few elements on my cards. First, I was inspired by the colors. Then, I was inspired by the stars and my last piece of inspiration was to use at least one animal on my card.

I pulled out the "Birthday Wishing" stamps and dies from the Colorado Craft Company to create with. I had bought these ages ago and never used them. I thought by coloring the mice a warm gray with Copics would help me get in one of the colors I wanted to use.

I loved how these mice came out!!! I layered them over a circle from The Greetery that I die cut out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used some Glossy Accents over the present and a teeny bit of Nuvo Bubblegum Blush Gloss for their noses.

The stars were embossed using a Paper Studio "Tiny Stars" embossing folder onto a piece of Concord & 9th piece of cardstock.

The pattern paper on the right is from Lawn Fawn's "Watercolor Wishes" 6" by 6" paper pad.

This card came out so much better than I had anticipated! I will be creating an exact replica of this card as I stamped two of these mice images and colored them in the same way.

Please hop on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog to play with us this week. I cannot wait to see what you create.

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!!
