There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #606

Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #606 is a THEME CHALLENGE-PENGUINS.

We have a sponsor this round-PJ MOORE ILLUSTRATIONS. This shop donated the adorable image, Penguin With Balloon, that I used on this card.

I colored in my image using colored pencils. I attempted to get a bit of texture on the penguin with my coloring but I am not sure that I achieved what I wanted.

I added some purple pattern paper from my scraps to the card base and cut the white card panel with an angle at the top before I added it to the card.

Since the penguin was holding a balloon, I decided to create a birthday card. The sentiment was originally a long strip that I cut up and then randomly adhered to the card using foam adhesive. I wasn't sure where this card was going but I LOVE how it came out!!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #606

 Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #606 is a THEME challenge-PENGUINS. We have a sponsor this round-PJ Moore Illustrations!

PJ Moore Illustrations generously donated the Building Friendships digital stamp that I used on my card. I colored in the image using colored pencils. Isn't it so cute?

As you can see, I did not use the color scheme from the Challenge Badge. Instead I decided to make a Christmas Card with more traditional colors.

Once I colored the image, I die cut it out using a Mama Elephant rectangle die. I then went through my stash to find pattern papers that matched the colors I used.

I added die cut snowflakes from my stash that I layered in between all the layers of paper. To complete my card, I added a few clear gems. I LOVE how this card came out and it was so fun to color!

Just a Reminder for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #601

Hi Friends!!

I am popping in with another card for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #601. This round is a THEME challenge-Buggy for Bugs.

Once again I used some products from They Greetery for my card.

The badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #601 is below:

I started off by creating a background for my card using a combination of stamps, stencils and ink blending.

I used a cover die over the background and used die cut lilacs and stamped bell jar for my arrangement.

The butterfly is I used ink blending that matched the background. Once again, I LOVE how this card came out. It was a blast to make.

A New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge-#601 Buggy For Bugs

Hey Friends!!!

I am just popping in with a card that I created for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. This round is a THEME challenge-Buggy for Bugs

I had fun creating my card using products that I got from The Greetery. Once again I am using stuff that I have had but have not used.

I created my lilacs using ink smooshing with Distress Ink and then die cutting them out.

Below is the inspiration badge for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #601. I did NOT use primary colors or cutesy bugs but a more realistic looking dragonfly.

The background was die cut using a die from Pinkfresh Studio that I placed over a light purple, A2, top folding card.

The dragon fly was die cut and then I used ink blending over it. The sentiment is a stamp from The Greetery.

I have to say that I had so much fun making this card. I LOVE these flower dies.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Celebration-Challenge #600

Happy Monday everyone!!!

I am popping in with my post for the NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog. Challenge #600 is a MILESTONE. The THEME of this round is HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Instead of the challenge running for two weeks, this challenge will run for the whole month of August. There are a TON of prizes, including two being sponsored by me. Hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog for all the information.

For this challenge, a bunch of sponsors generously donated images for the DT to use to create birthday cards. I created one card for each sponsor on this post.

My first card I created a card using the digital stamp Feeling Spoilt from All Dressed Up Stamps.

I had so much fun coloring this image in with some Copic Markers and adding a sentiment from my stash.

I added a touch of sparkle to the Martini with Stickles. I totally know who I am going to give this card too.

All Dressed Up

For my second card, I used the candle image from the digital stamp set "Cupcake Kisses" from Crafty Scrappers. She created this set as the prize especially for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #600

I enlarged the candle and then copied it to make some rows. This originally covered the entire card front BUT my Copic marker burped and I had to cut the panel down. Happy accidents!!

I colored in all the candles using Copic Markers and added some Orange Peel Stickles in each of the candle flames. The sentiment, also from the prize set, was popped up using some foam adhesive.

Crafty Scrappers

For my third card, I used a monster stamp from the digital stamp set by Last Minute Manda-More Monsters Under the Bed

I had a lot of fun coloring this fun monster in, fussy cutting it out and layering it over some pattern paper scraps.

The sentiment is from Concord and 9th and was lying about in my "unused" pile. I think this card would be fun to send to someone at any age that needs a pick me up.

Last Minute Manda

My next card was created using one of the drinks from the Mirtillamente digital stamp set Cocktails.

Once again I used Copic Markers to color in the image. The sentiment is from Mirtillamente Happy Birthday No. 2 Sentiment set

I used foam adhesive to adhere the stamped panel to some orange pattern paper and a lace border.

Mirtillamente

My last card I used the image A Curious Cake from The Paper Shelter for my card.

I colored the fun cake in using various shades of Copic markers. I added some Blue and Orange Peel Stickles over some of the frosting and in the candles for a little sparkle.

I fussy cut the cake out and used foam adhesive to pop it up over an ink blended background. I added a sentiment from my stash and some gems to complete the card.

The Paper Shelter

That is all from me today. For more information on Challenge #600, how to participate and a list of possible prizes, hop on over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog. I hope you will join us for this special challenge. I cannot wait to see what you create.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A New Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog

 Hey Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #599 is a COLOR challenge. Create a project using the colors PINK and PURPLE.

I created my card using a Die of the Month from Spellbinders. Instead of using the colors for the majority of my card, I chose to use the pink and purple with green, yellow and white so they would POP off my card. Did I accomplish this?

Below is the challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #599:

I used a mixture of cardstock, pattern paper and for the tulips, some ink smooshed paper that I created.

I also did a little bit of ink smooshing on the green leaves and stems.
