Simon Says Stamp! Joy for You Release

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!!

Today I am popping in with some projects that I created for the NEW Simon Says Stamp! Joy for You Release. I used the new Deck the Halls stamp set for the two cards that I am posting today.

My first card uses an unusual color palette for a Christmas card. I ink blended the background with SSS Positively Saturated Ink in Sky and Spring. The sentiment is stamped in Night.

The left ornament was stamped using the new Deck the Halls stamp set with the same inks. The right ornament to the right I stamped with Concord & 9th Dove Ink. I think the favorite things in this set are the fun "chains" that the ornaments are hanging from.

My second card I created I used a totally different color palette. I chose to use shades of green and pink.

For my background, I embossed a white panel with the Simon Says Stamp Shimmering Starfall embossing folder. I then layered a panel that was die cut using the A2 Notched Rectangle die that I had stamped the "Merry and Bright" sentiment that is included in the Deck the Halls stamp set.

I used the Deck the Halls stamp set to stamp my ornaments in shades of pink and green, using the C9 Dove ink for the ornament tops and chains.

I then cut out the ornaments and adhered them onto the card front. The light green ornament I popped up using foam adhesive. My last step was to adhere gems around the sentiment and add some Nuvo Drops on my green ornament.

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. I will see you tomorrow with some more creations that I created for this release. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Simple Christmas Card

Hey Crafty Friends!!

I am popping in with a card that I created for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #759. I have not been able to make a card just for fun lately as I have been busy creating for an upcoming release.

I had fun layering the Birch Press Designs Forest Leaf and Berries Contour Layers dies over some Craft Consortium red paper and a white embossed panel. The embossing folder is Linen by Spellbinders.

I used some Tim Holtz Rock Candy Glitter over my berry bunch. I used the Merry die from SSS and CZ Design for the simple sentiment. I chose to do a gold sentiment in an attempt to bring out the gold from the background. It is really hard to see though.

Below is the Freshly Made Sketches sketch I used for my inspiration:

On another note, I took the Tim Holtz Halloween Laboratory class last Saturday and HAD A BLAST creating a Halloween Vignette. I am a crafter and have made many ornaments, miniature furniture and soft sculptures but never something like this.

Tim is a FABULOUS instructor and I sent this off to my daughter this week. She LOVED it!!

All the tiny details were so much to make. I added the spider web myself. Not sure I love it but it is staying.

After this class, I decided to join in on the Christmas Class on November 21st. I even received my kit already!

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!

A New Challenge Over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge-Challenge #642

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #642 is a THEME challenge. Create a project using the theme-FALL.

Below is the Challenge Badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #642:

I have been digging through old supplies and decided to use the Simon Says Stamp! One With Nature stamp set for my card.

I stamped my background using this stamp set in yellow, orange, black, charcoal and dove dye ink. I cut it down to a 3" by 4" piece and adhered it to an A2, off white card base.

I added some pattern paper scraps over the front and added a stamped sentiment that I die cut with a circle and used orange ink over the top.

Want to join us this round? To see more details about the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #640, head on over to the BLOG. I cannot wait to see what you create!!!

That is all from me. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Christmas Cards!!

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!!

Today I am popping in with some cards for some challenges. My first card I used the Freshly Made Sketches #757 as my inspiration.

I used the Birch Press Design Simple Evergreen Sprigs and the Block Print Winter Cardinal for my focal point.

The sentiment is the Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies. The background circles are from Stampin Up!

I am entering this into this week's Freshly Made Sketches, Just Add Ink-Paper Piecing and Addicted to Stamps & More-Christmas.

My next card I used the Sketch & Scrap Sketch #302 as my inspiration.

I used paper and ephemera from Rosie's Studio.

I had so much fun mixing these fun papers and going through the ephemera to pick the right pieces.

I added some sparkle and shine with some glitter on the edges of the pines.

For my next card I used the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge as my inspiration. It was to use Pattern Paper on a card.

I used Rosie's Studio paper and ephemera for this card too.

I used Vintage Photo around the edges of the ephemera and a Distress Tool around the paper.

I added some glitter around the edges of some of the ephemera, as well as some Nuvo Crystal Drops on the gold berries.

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!

SSS "Sending Cheer" Blog Hop Day 2

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a project that I created for Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp! Blog Hop for the "Sending Cheer" release. You should have come here from Rosemary Dennis. I happen to be the last person on the hop but if you get lost, hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog. I also have the COMPLETE list for today's hop below.

Instead of a card, I wanted to create a little treat bag using the Happy Howloween stamp set.

front view

I started off by embossing a piece of black cardstock with the SSS Shimmering Star embossing folder. I then used the SSS Rounded Tags Die to cut two tags out of my embossed panel.

front view
I creased a small piece of black cardstock and adhered it to the bottom to "fold" the two tags together. I used silver Stickles and my fingers to spread sparkle over the top of the embossed stars.

Back View
When the sparkles were dry, I adhered a piece of old dictionary paper that I covered in Vintage Photo Distress Ink to both sides. I added a "sky" circle that was created using Distress Ink and Distress Mica Spray.

I then added the Happy Howloween images to both sides. I am one of those people that feels that both sides of a treat bag should be decorated!!!

I put the treat inside a little black and white bag and punched a hole in it. I added it to inside of the tags and tied it all together with a ribbon. I added a tag to the front that I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Howloween stamp set. I LOVE how this came out!!!

When you shop from the "Sending Cheer" collection, you have a chance for a FREE stamp set with purchase (while supplies last).
