Prom and Playing along with AAA Cards #89

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

My weekend was full of fun with friends and getting my daughter ready for her Junior Prom. I have to say that she was absolutely beautiful...and I think she felt like she was. Not only did she look fabulous in her dress but we got her hair done and it was so cool to watch the process. I think I loved her hair more then the dress!! Here are some photos of her:

I was so happy she had a blast!! Charlotte originally was not going to go but her friend's date fell through and she begged her to go with her. After, the parent organization put on a breakfast for the kids until 2 am. They do this so to discourage the students from going to drinking parties. They had food, a DJ, prizes-it is a huge production. Charlotte only chose to stay until 1 am as she was exhausted!!

Enough about prom!! I FINALLY have a card today!! I am playing along with AAA Cards #89.

I used the feathers (created birds) as my jumping off point and chose to use red as my bright and beautiful color on my card.

I used Lawn Fawn's "Love Letters" stamps/dies to create this card. The images were colored in with Copic Markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies.

I created the background of the scene using some cheap watercolors I had lying around.

I layered a circle over the scene and then popped the colored images over that. I LOVE how this came out!!

That is all for me tonight!! I thank you for stopping by!! Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

CAS-ual Fridays Inspiration

Happy Friday everyone!! Today it is my turn on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog so I decided to play along with this weeks CAS-ual Fridays Challenge:

I started off my card by stamping a border from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Daisy Chain" stamp set with Versamark ink onto white card stock and then heat embossed with a light pink embossing powder.

I then ink blended navy ink down the front getting lighter and lighter until the end left some white card stock showing. Next I die cut the center of the panel and mounted the frame onto a pink A2 card base and then popped the center up inside with fun foam, adding a space in the middle to tie some pink jute.

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Heartfelt Sayings" onto a piece of die cut pink card stock. I used adhesive foam to adhere to the card front.

The last step was to use glitter glue in navy and pink in the middle of the daisy's as you go down the card front.

I hope this card inspires you to come on over and join the challenge this week at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Cleaning My Desk Up with Cupcake Inspiration Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!!

It has been a week since I have posted. Not that I have been non creative but taking photos has not been my thing as of late. I am trying to use my camera on manual and there has been a huge learning curve. Some of my the photos I am posting today are not perfect but please bear with me.

I have been slowly cleaning up my desk. I have a TON of images I colored in and am trying to actually make cards with them rather then just put them in a box as I usually do.  I created a card to play along with this week's Cupcake Inspiration blog-"Animals."

First I took some Candied Apple Distress Ink and blended it down a piece of white card stock I had die cut using My Favorite Things "Blueprints #13." I then adhered this over a piece Kraft card stock.

The little sheep, the polaroid frame, the hearts and the "i love" part of the sentiment were sitting on my desk, just waiting to be used. I adhered the sheep and the sentiment strips with foam adhesive. I adhered the hearts and die cut a "you" out of a scrap of red card stock I had in my scrap drawer.

I then used a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen colored over all the hearts and the "you" die cut. I completed the card by covering each of these then with Glossy Accents.

That is all for today. I have a ton of other cards to post but am attempting to photograph them again.

I thank you for taking  the time to stop by. Have a fabulous night!!
