Stay Strong

Hello everyone!! Just popping in for a QUICK post.

I created a card for this weeks CASE this Sketch Challenge #369.

I masked off and did some ink blended stripes at the bottom. I kind of changed up where the sentiment was and I added a wreath element.

I think I might have STRETCHED this one a bit but the sketch is what my jumping off point was.

I have been using A LOT of what is on my desk again. It is filled with colored and die cut images. I go on the rampages with stamping, coloring and then die cutting images and then they just sit there. The coloring part of the whole process is a stress release for me so I just continue to do it.

I have also been pulling out dies to use that are new or have been put away in my stash that have been unused. I would like to say that I have not bought anything through this shelter in place but I can't. I just figure that I am supporting small business when I buy!!

My last photo is kind of a joke. I put on jeans today just to make sure they still fit!! They are a little tighter but I can still breathe. I need to do this for all the pairs I own!!

I decided two things at the beginning of this week. I am going to try to be more positive about myself and others. Inside my head has been pretty ugly lately and I have been very judgmental.

It is hard for me because I am an avid reader, educate myself on everything so when people are ignorant and don't listen to experts, it bothers me. My daughter has been working through all this and the general public that shops have sometimes been downright awful. It has made me very, very sad.

That is the end of my post. I thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS night and stay safe!!

Some Cards for Challenges

Hello!! Just popping in to showcase some cards for a few challenges.

For my first card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #432 and The Card Concept #133.

I was inspired by the bouquet at the Card Concept and the Sketch below:

I used WPlus9's The Little Things stamps and dies for the all my stamping. (And yes, I know there is a misspelling in the sentiment. Didn't know it until this was already created. Sending it to someone that won't care.)

The lace border is from PinkFresh Studio Lace Edgers 1. The inks used were a combination of PinkFresh Studio and Altenew.

I am in LOVE with this stamp set!!!

For my next card, I used the Just Us Girls Photo Challenge #533 and the Color Throwdown #590.

I created my next card with scraps from my desk that I had left over from another project.

The flowers and the butterflies are from Reverse Confetti. I used the Butterfly Wreath and the Butterfly Wreath Confetti Cuts for the images. I colored then in with Copic Markers.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the pattern paper is a HALLOWEEN scrap!!!

I just LOVE this card and how it came out!!!

For my LAST card that I am posting today is for the As You See It Challenge #224-Flowers and this weeks Time Out Challenge Photo Inspiration. I used flowers from Altenew New Beginnings and Sweet Pea flowers for my focal point. The green and other colors were inspired from the Time Out photo.

Here is my card:

I used Copic Markers to color in the flowers and used Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and a stencil for the background.

I used Aqua Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents in the center of the yellow flower.

That is all from me tonight. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

The Last Day of the CAS-ual Fridays April 2020 Release-Heart Ribbon Stencil

Hello everyone!!

Today is my last project for the CAS-ual Fridays April 2020 release. I used the new Heart Ribbon Stencil to create my card.

This card was actually an accident. I originally used the stencil to traditionally stencil a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Mist Spray. However, there was so much ink on the stencil, I laid a clean piece of cardstock over it to REVERSE STENCIL this card front.

I decided I liked the Distressed look of the pink so I used this piece rather than the traditional panel.

I then went back and used some white glitter paste in the stencil to show case the ribbon a bit more.

My last step was to stamp a sentiment using the Heart Ribbon Stamp set and adhere it to the card front. I like how this card came out. It is a "messier" look than I usually go with but I think cancer is a "messy" diagnosis.

This new stencil, as well as all the new products from this release, are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store RIGHT NOW!! Use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order.

Day 5 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps April 2020 Release-Musical Elements Chipboard

Hello everyone!!

Just a quick post today with the EASIEST project I created all week for the CAS-ual Fridays April release.

I used the new CAS-ual Fridays Musical Elements Chipboard, a sentiment from the Love Notes stamp set and some pattern paper to make my card.

I started off my card by adhering a piece of pattern paper sized 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" to an A2, top folding card base.

I then die cut a circle out of a scrap of cardstock that matched the background and heat embossed a sentiment from Love Notes in gold.

I adhered the circle to the card front using foam adhesive to give it a little pop.

I covered the Musical Elements Chipboard with Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold. I then placed them over the die cut circle. So easy and I LOVE how it looks!!!

This chipboard, as well as the entire new release is available NOW in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store. Please use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order!!

To see more fabulous projects using this chipboard, hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see what the design team created.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by and I will be back tomorrow for the last day of the April 2020 release.

Day 4 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps April 2020 Release

Happy Hump Day!!! It is Wednesday for all you people whose days are getting all clumped together. I rarely know what day it is myself but as I am posting ahead of time, I need to know the date!!

Today I am posting two of my FAVORITE projects that I created for the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps April 2020 Release. They are so different from each other too!!

My first card I used the brand new Blossom Bubble Stencil and paired it with a sentiment from last month's Terrific Flowers Stamp Set for a clean and simple card.

This brought me back to high school days when I first started making cards. I used to use stencils and acrylic paint to create scenes on card fronts. Instead of using paint, I made a scene with the Blossom Bubble Stencil and dye ink. I started off by masking the card front with an open circle in the center. I placed the Blossom Bubble Stencil over the circle and stenciled two flowers using three different pink Distress Inks.

I them used a small dauber to stencil the flower centers with yellow.

I masked off the flowers with post it tape and used green to stencil in the stems and the leaves. I changed up where I wanted the leaves from the stencil-which is something I LOVE about using stencils to create a card!!!

I removed the Blossom stencil and shaded in around the inside edges of the circle mask in a teal color, as well as heat embossed a sentiment in gold from the Terrific Flowers Stamp Set.

I am not sure if you can see from the photos but I dry embossed a frame around the outside of the white card panel. My last step was to adhere it to an A2, top folded card base. This card was SO EASY and so fun to make!!

My next card I used the new Bold Flowers Stencil, a sentiment from Pretty Posies stamp set and the Sweet Friend's Fri-die to create my card.

I created the background by pairing the new Bold Blossom Flower Stencil with Ultramarine Color Burst on watercolor paper.

The Color Burst is a powder I sprinkled in between the stencil and then misted water over the top. There was so much color on top of the stencil that I then dipped the panel into that, creating what you see. I even had enough to make a second panel that I put away for a different time.

I let the panel dry and mounted it onto an A2 card base. I then adhered the "friend" die cut to the front. I used a shimmer pen over the black sentiment and then covered it with Glossy Accents.

I stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Posies stamp set in black. I adhered the sentiment strip under the "friend" die cut when the Glossy Accents dried.

My last step was to adhere some sequins that matched the background around the sentiment block.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this card!! I had never really used the Color Burst before and I have a couple bottles up on a shelf. I will definitely be trying this again with some other stencils.

These new products are available NOW in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store. Please use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. I will be back tomorrow with another fun card I created for this release!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Day 3 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps April 2020 Release-Coffee Beans Stencil and Coffee'isms Stamp Set

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope you are all staying healthy.

I am popping in with another project that showcasing the NEW release form CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Today I used the new Coffee Beans Stencil and the Coffee'isms Stamp Set to create a fun coffee themed card.

I started off by stenciling the coffee beans onto a piece of white cardstock.

I cut a half inch off the top and added it to a brown card base.

I then stamped the sentiment using the Coffee'isms Stamp Set

I masked off pieces so that I could stamp part of the sentiment in red and part of it in brown.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front using foam adhesive.

The card needed something else so I die cut a red coffee cup using the CAS-Fridays Coffee Cup Fri-dies. I was so mad because after I die cut this cup, I lost the die somewhere on my desk!! I still have not been able to locate the darn thing.

I adhered the red coffee cup underneath the sentiment block. This is one of my FAVORITE projects that I created for this whole release and I don't even like coffee!!

These new products are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store NOW. Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order!!

I encourage you to hop on over to CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see some other fabulous projects the design team cooked up.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by and will be back again tomorrow with another project using the new CAS-Fridays release!!
