Just a Reminder for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #586

 Hey Friends!!

Just popping in with a card for this round of Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #586. CIC586 is a THEME challenge. Create a project inspired by FAIRY TALES.

Once again, this was a tough challenge for me. Instead of using images of dragons, princesses or castles on my card, I decided to use an APPLE!

The challenge badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #586 is below:

I used an old Spellbinders die to create the apple on my card. The Apple was inspired by Snow White's apple that she ate in the Fairy Tale Snow White.

The hearts stencil I used is from Scrapbook.com. I did a bit of distress on the edges. The flowers are from Spellbinders Paper Arts.

I printed out the sentiment on the computer since I didn't have one. All in all, I love how this came out.

A New Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog-Challenge #586

Hey Friends!!

There is a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog today. Challenge #586 is a THEME challenge. It is to use the theme of FAIRY TALES to create a project.

This was a tough one for me. I am not a "princess" type of person and hadn't a clue on what I was going to create for this card. I decided to go with the flower aspect of Fairy Tales for my card design.

In many Fairy Tales, flowers have a presence in the story. Roses are theme in both Sleeping Beauty and in the story of Beauty and The Beast. In Sleeping Beauty, Beauty is referred to as Briar Rose. I decided to go with that.

Below is the badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #586:

For my card, I used the stamp set Paint-A-Flower: Rosa Floribunda to create my card. First I heat embossed it in white. I then used a combination of Distress Inks and Zig Watercolor Markers to color it in.

I distressed the edges of the panel and then layered it over a dry embossed, pink cardstock panel.

I used a sentiment stamp from Your Next Stamp for the sentiment.

Three Different Cards Using a Greenery Swag Die

(Some links are Affiliate Links, used at no extra cost to you!!)

Happy Sunday!!!

Just popping in with a few cards I created using some of the same supplies. I started all of them off using Simon Says Stamp Greenery Swag Wafer Dies.  My goal this year is to use supplies that I HAVE, rather then investing in new things. I cannot tell you how many things that are organized but never used.

The first card uses the Greenery Swag combined with Honey Bee Stamps Burlap Embossing Folder, Many Merry Christmas Sentiments and Essential Arches from Spellbinders Paper Arts.

I used a ton of different Ranger Distress Inks to shade in all the pieces.

I used Nuvo Cryastal Drops and Stickles for the middle of the flowers.

My second card was inspired by the sketch from last weeks AAA Card Challenge-Challenge #256

Of course, I didn't get the card in on time!! Again, I combined the same Greenery Swag and Burlap Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages: Holiday

My last card I mixed it up a little bit and didn't create a "Christmas" card. Instead I designed a sympathy card.

I used the Altenew Crystal Wall 3D Embossing Folder on the background. I think it is retired.

The hugs die cut is from PaperTrey Ink and the sentiment flag is from my stash.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you like my cards. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Couple of Challenges

(Some links in this are Affiliate Links used a no extra cost to you)

Hi Friends!!! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Just popping in with a few cards for some challenges. I have been trying to get in my craft room more this year and I have been doing a good job at keeping it up. I should be cleaning it up but instead I have been playing.

The first card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #619

I took a few liberties on this sketch, I do like how this card came out. Instead of a square shape, I used a curved arch die.

One of my other goals this year is to use the supplies that I have instead of buying stuff that I don't need. For this card, I used the December 2023 Small Die of the Month Club from Spellbinders called Sneaking a Kiss

The heart border was cut on my Silhouette Machine and was in my scraps. The navy heart paper was a from a Honey Bee Stamps free paper pack that I got with an order.

I loved that I was able to use a ton of scraps for all these die cuts!!!

My second card was inspired by the Inspired By Challenge-Blue

I LOVED the blue shutters and the mosaic tile. I also used the sketch loosely on my card.

When I saw this challenge, I knew I had to use my Granny Square Dies from Altenew and some of their old cube inks-Lapus Lazuli.

I know, I know, these Granny Squares are supposed to be knit but they screamed mosaic to me! My favorite color is blue and I had so much fun making this card.

The sentiments were from my stash and I have no clue who created them. The embossing folder is my NEW FAVORITE from Honey Bee Stamps-Burlap

My last card I am entering into this round of The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #82-The Midas Touch.

I apologize for the photos from this card. I had such a hard time photographing it.

Most of the die cuts on this card are from The Greetery. The embossed background is from Spellbinders-Holly and Foliage Embossing Folder.

I used Tim Holtz Tarnished Brass Mica Spray on the background because it matched the antique gold paper I used on the bow and strip at the bottom.

Well that is all from me today. I have to get ready to go with my friend to a psychic show. I don't know if I really believe in it but I keep an open mind!! Have a FABULOUS night!!

Just a Reminder for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #585

Hey friends!!

There is still time to play with us over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #585. Challenge #585 is a COLOR CHALLENGE this round. It is to use the colors yellow, gray and white on a project.

Once again, for my project I chose to use Altnew's Zesty Life stamp/stencil/die set. I LOVE lemons-both to eat and to use on my card projects!!!

Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge #585.

First I stamped the lemon images all over a white card base in black in. I then used the stencil to shade in different colors of yellow ink and green ink.

I then stamped a separate set of lemons and die cut them out. I added a gray and white striped piece of paper over the card base and added a circle of vellum. I placed the die cut lemons over the front.

I then used some foam tape to pop up the sentiment. I added some clear sequins around the sentiment circle.

Cupcake Inspirations #585

 Happy New Year!!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is back!!! This time around, challenge #585 is a COLOR CHALLENGE. It is to use the colors yellow, gray and white on a project.

I created my card with a stamp/stencil/die set by Altenew called Zesty Life. I combined a bunch of Distress Inks with the stencils for my colors.

The Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #585 is below.

I used a scrap of gray and white striped paper behind the lemons. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
