Day 4 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Holiday Release: Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

Happy Halloween!!

It is day 4 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps holiday release. I am showcasing two cards that I created, one with the new Merry Christmas Fri-Die set and the other with the new Happy Hanukkah Fri-Die. It seems strange to showcase Christmas and Hanukkah stamps on Halloween but it is fun to be different!!

I started off my first card by randomly stamping gray stars from the Star of David stamp set across the front of a top-folded, white, A2 card.

Using the Happy Hanukkah Fri-Die set, I die cut three blue "happy" sentiments and adhered them down the middle of the card front.

Next I die cut "Hanukkah" in silver using the same Fri-Die set. I adhered this underneath the "happy" sentiments.

My last step was to adhere clear rhinestones randomly across the card front.

I started off my second card by using the Funky Flakes Fri-Dies set and embossing them into a white piece of cardstock. I adhered this over a white, A2 card front at an angle.

I then used the snowflakes from the new Dashing stamp set and randomly stamped them across a piece of aqua card stock. I adhered this over the embossed card panel.

Next I used the new Merry Christmas Fri-die to die cut the Christmas sentiment. I adhered both to the aqua stamped panel. I used Diamond Stickles to cover the sentiment to give it some shine.

I die cut a few Funky Flakes from white and aqua cardstock and adhered them to the left of the sentiment. I then added some bits from the white snowflake around the sentiment and covered them with Diamond Stickles.

Another easy card to create in bulk for the holidays!!!

Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Holiday Release: Mistletoe Fri-Dies

Hello everyone!!

Today is day three of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps holiday release. I am showcasing the new Mistletoe Fri-dies. I am so excited because they match the previously released Mistletoe and Holly Stamp set!!

To start off my card, I lightly blended teal ink onto a white piece of cardstock. I then used white paint and splashed it across the front. After the paint dried, I added a sentiment, also in teal, from the Mistletoe and Holly stamp set.

I mounted the white card front onto an A2, top folding teal card.

Next I stamped and die cut the mistletoe and matching bow with the new Mistletoe Fri-Dies. I colored the image in with Copic markers and used Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops in white for the little berries.

I adhered the mistletoe to the card front using foam adhesive. I then added the bow on top, also popping it up with foam adhesive.

I LOVE how this card came out and will be making a few more of these cards to send out this year!!

Day 2 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Holiday Release: Dashing Stamps and Snow Fri-Dies

Happy Monday!!

Today I am here to showcase CAS-ual Fridays Stamps new Dashing Stamps and Snow Fri-Dies.

I started off by randomly stamping snowflakes from the new Dashing Stamps in teal across the front of a white piece of cardstock. I then stamped the hearts from the Calm and Loving Stamp Set in red.

Using the same teal ink as the snowflakes,  I stamped part of the sentiment above the snow. I mounted the stamped cardstock onto an A2 sized card that was covered in teal patterned paper.

I die cut the "snow" sentiment using the new Snow Fri-dies and adhered it onto the front of the card. I covered the word with a clear sparkle pen and some Glossy Accents so it would stand out from the white background.

My last step was to adhere some light teal pearls across the front.

Day 1 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Holiday Release: Big Hope Fri-Die

Hello everyone!! I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend. It has been quiet here on the blog. I have been away for the last two weekends and have done nothing in my craft room.

Today is the first day of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Holiday release.

Today I am showcasing the Big Hope Fri-Die. I created a card all in purple.

I started off by adding a patterned paper strip to a light purple card front.

I then added five circles across the front and adhered a heart using foam adhesive that I punched out of glitter paper.

My last step was to adhere the new Big Hope Fri-die to the front of the card.

A Blog Hop with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and Coffee Loving Cardmakers

Happy Friday everyone!! I bet you are ready for the weekend!! I know I am.

Today I am here with a card that I created for a blog hop. CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog are pairing up to feature some coffee cards. Below is the card that I created for this hop.

I used the CAS-Fridays Peace, Love and Coffee stamp set to create this card.

I stamped and masked the coffee cups, using the rainbow as my color scheme for the cups.

I then used some Ground Expresso Distress Ink for the brown blending around the cups. It is supposed to be coffee running out of the top cup!!

I added some coffee beans and some hearts, as well as the sentiment, all from the same stamp set-easy peasy!!

Do you like prizes? Leave comments along the way to enter into a random drawing to be one of three winners!!

Some Cards I Created for WCMD and Some Completed Challenges

Happy Monday!!

I am fortunate to have this day off due to Columbus Day. I have been running around all day trying to get errands done and had fun going to the new Trader Joes that opened up near us. Anyone have one of these around them? What is your favorite food from there?

Totally needed the day today too. Last week was busy and work was not so fun.

It started well with going to see Jodi Picoult at a lecture put on by the Mark Twain House. She spoke about her new book that came out last week. Really interesting lecture and she looks so much younger then her age!!

The week ended with going to see A Star is Born. What a FABULOUS movie!! Bradley Cooper can sing and Lady GaGa? WOW!!! I wish she would just use her voice and not do all the synthesizing stuff with her songs. I could listen to her for hours the way she sang in most of this movie.

Okay, now on to a few of the cards I created this weekend for World Card Making Day on Saturday. I guess I was "supposed" to make mostly holiday cards but didn't make any! Instead, I joined in on a couple challenges.

First, I created a birthday card for my niece using the the sketch from the Fab Friday Blog.

I chose to use the MFT Birthday Chicks stamp and die set for my card.

After I put it together, I added some shimmer on the balloons and on the little chick's hat. Below is the Fab Friday Sketch #147 that inspired this card.

The next two cards I used a Jennifer McGuire technique to create. They are NOT perfect but they were so fun and I definitely want to try this again.

I spread ink on the embossing folder and then ran white cardstock through my Big Shot to get the yellow in between the flowers. As you can see, the ink did not spread all over like it could but I liked the effect so I did not re-ink the folder.

I then die cut a rectangle out of the ink embossed cardstock and added it to a white card front that I had embossed using the same folder.

I added a simple sentiment (Tiny Words) and butterfly die cut (Stitching Butterflies) from Simon Says Stamp. I LOVE how this came out!!

I am entering this into the Just Us Girls Challenge #461-Sympathy.

It is kind of funny but I LOVE to make Sympathy cards...just not to send them.

My last card I used the yellow part that I cut out of above card to create yet another sympathy card. This one was a bit less work.

I stamped the sentiment using a MFT's Deepest Sympathy stamp set and added the little sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Tiny Words set.

I hesitated to use the same yellow for the large sentiment but decided to keep it.

I wish the floss was not as bright as it is. I might take it off and ink it with a bit of brown to dull it.

That is all from me today. I thank you for stopping by!! Have a FABULOUS day!!
