Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

Just a quick post on this Sunday night. I have been trying to make a card for Pretty Pink Posh's Watercolor blog hop all weekend. I cannot even tell you how many starts I have thrown away. I am defiantly going to practice with watercolor over my summer vacation.

Here is the very simple card that I finally crafted. It is not the most out of the box but it is what I finally accomplished after all else failed.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade for the background. I used the smoosh technique to create it. I then let it dry and layered a bunch of dies from the mess on my desk on the front. The last step was to use a clear Wink of Stella pen on the front of the hearts.

If I had started with this technique instead of actually water coloring images or making a scene myself, I probably would have been done with this in a half hour!! I am just disappointed because I really wanted this card to be a little bit more creative then it wound up being. Oh well! I tried.

Once again, I am entering this into the Pretty Pink Posh watercolor blog hop.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Supplies:
Stamps-Mama Elephant
Dies-Mama Elephant (happy), Simon Says Stamp (hearts)
Paper-Ranger watercolor paper, scraps
Ink-Ranger Distress Ink

Well maybe you don't think it's the most creative but I think it's beautiful! Very cheery and fun! And I love your comment about layering a bunch of dies from the mess on your desk. Ha! I can relate! Thanks for sharing!
