The first thing I did was to pull out the only two stamp sets I have by MFT and use them, along with some PTI stamps to create my own patterned paper for the pink spot in the sketch. I used five different colored inks and had so much fun mixing and matching my stamps.
I then layered this patterned paper and an embossed rectangle on top of MFT's Sour Apple card stock. Next I layered some die cut star border that I had in my "extra" box over the edge where the two white pieces of paper met. I then die cut an orange banner. At first I wanted to faux stitch around the edge when I started at the top, but I messed up. I used the tape to cover up my mistake!!! ShhhShh!!
I hemmed and hawed about the image I wanted on the banner. It had to be something to celebrate a birthday and something to go with the paper I stamped below. I decided a cup cake was the perfect choice. I had a lot of fun layering sequins, stickles, rhinestones and enamel dots to create the fun "confetti" above the cup cake.
Isn't this card fun? I LOVE how it came out!! I want t make another one!! This sketch ROCKED!!
Thank you for stopping by my blog and looking. Have a great day!!

What a fun card! The sequins are such a playful, festive touch. Nice job with the MFT sketch.
