Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!!
I have been busy this week with after school activities, preparing for my daughter's homecoming from college (tomorrow) and taking the Clean and Simple Holiday 2018 online card class.
I know, I know, there are a ton of videos on YouTube to see but the online card classes are SO MUCH FUN!! I love the forum and being able to learn new techniques that I would never even think to search for online.
Anyhow, I am posting the homework that I did for Day 3 of the class. I haven't gotten to the homework for Day 1 or 2 yet because I have to do a bit of digging to find the right stamp sets and I didn't feel like it.
Kristina Werner did a video for this class with a cool watercolor technique. I chose to make two trees-one in red and one in green.
As usual, watercolor and I do not always have a copacetic relationship, I had to cut my watercolor paper at the bottom when I placed it on the card front and so to make it an A2 sized card, I added a strip of glitter tape.
These were SO FUN to make and I have it in my head to try to do this technique with a different shape.
On a different note, I also had to create two sympathy cards. It seems that is all I make these days!!
I did some experimenting with watercolor AGAIN on this but I did not use the correct ink. However, I refused to throw the panel away and made it into a sympathy card. The flowers are from WPlus9's Beautiful Boquet: Ranunculus stamp set and the sentiment is MFT's Deepest Sympathy stamp set.
I used Altenew Garden Treasures set to create this card, combined with my favorite PaperTrey Ink Words of Comfort set.
Well, that is all for me today. I hope you all have a FABULOUS day!!

I like your modern artsy trees, they're so cool! And your sympathy cards are amazing. The flowers are gorgeous!
I wish I'd have time for this class - alone this tree seems to make it worthwhile! Gorgeous cards!!!
Gorgeous trees...just love how you made them, the colors are fabulous!
WOW, Nora...Your cards are stunning. I really struggle with CAS cards. I tend to pile on more than I should (seriously). Your art inspires me. I need to look around some more.
Blessings,
Karen Letchworth
P.S. I hope you will stop by Word Art Wednesday to share some of your cards with us. Great prizes, always Anything Goes. www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com
Nora, these are ALL so beautiful! First though, I can't even imagine how exciting it must be that your daughter is coming home :) I remember the first time I headed home after moving away, it was such a crazy feeling, but so exciting! I wish you all lots of fun and a super Happy Thanksgiving! And as for the cards, what can I say - they are FABULOUS! I love the CAS class idea - I'm trying SO hard to work on this department. Even trying a new CAS series on the blog - fingers crossed I can keep up with it! lol
Fabulous trees and card designs Nora. You have really been busy.
