Sunday Cardmaking

Hey Crafty Friends!

It has been raining cats and dogs here in the Northeast so I had some time in my craft room to pass the time. I actually created FIVE cards, which is unheard of as I am a sloooooow card maker. I am only going to post three today and hopefully the other two tomorrow. 

The first card I created was inspired by THREE challenges. The sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #755, the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #302 and the Bouquet from Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #45.

Below are the three challenge badges I used as inspiration for my card. For the TTC #302, I used the middle down-die cuts/free/embossing wet or dry.

 

All of the flowers were die cut from cardstock scraps. The pail is die cut from a piece of pattern paper that has been in my stash for YEARS. It was a tiny scrap that I was able to cut two pails out of and I am sad that it is gone.

The embossing folder is the Exposed Brick from Stampin Up!. The border is from The Greetery.

The sentiment is from my stash. Not sure who it is from and I don't feel like digging to find out. 

My second card was inspired by three challenges. The first is the sketch from this weeks Paper Players #805, the Inkspirational Challenge #377 and The Card Concept #229.

On the Inkspirational Challenge, I used the sunflower cupcake as the inspiration.

The flowers are all from Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Concord and 9th.

I inked the edges of all the paper with Old Paper Distress Ink. The pattern papers are from Arden Studios and 49 & Market.

My third card was inspired by the As You See It Challenge #382 and The 52 Christmas Card Throwdown-embossing.

The prompt for the As You See It Challenge scared me as I have only made about three Christmas Cards so far. This one was the fourth. Yikes!!

I used Rosie's Studio Sleigh Bells Ring paper and ephemera for my card. I loved this pack as much of the images have gold embossing on them.

I added some gold Stickles on the tree for some sparkle and Glossy Accents on the little flower on the package.

The gold frame is from my stash. I wish this card was as easy to make as it looks. I always have a hard time layering my ephemera without it looking too much.

Monday, Monday with some Fun Cards!

Hey Friends!! 

Today I am popping in with some cards that I created for some challenges. I have to say that I have NOT been in my craft room lately. We are having 16 people for Thanksgiving and I have been cleaning up a storm. I do not have a huge house so I am happy to host the holiday, I am stressed about where everyone will sit!!!

My first card that I am posting I created using a few challenges. 

I had fun combining a bunch of different products for this card. I used the Tessellating Snowflakes Embossing Folder by Simon Says Stamp for my background. The present "stamps," the bows and the stencils are all from Waffle Flower Crafts.

The holly is from Spellbinder's and the snowflakes are from my stash. I LOVE how this card came out!!

I am entering this into the following challenge-Inspirational Challenge #355 (I was inspired by the holly tag), The 52 Christmas Card Throwdown-(use of stamps on a card), and the Inspired By...#363-(napkin photo-I was inspired by the snowflakes and the kraft color)

My second card is NOT a Christmas card. I actually created two. One is a 5" by 7" card and the other is an A2 sized card. 

I am showing my larger card first. I started off by using the Spellbinders 3D Beautiful Butterflies embossing folder. I added some flowers by from the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club that were from January 2023. I have been trying to go through my stash and dig out things that I have not used yet and this set was one of them.

The oval die is from the Double Stitched Elongated Oval die set by Pinkfresh Studio.

The sentiment is the new Everything Will Be Okay stamps/dies by Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th. 

This card was inspired by last week's Freshly Made Sketches #713, Just Add Ink #774-Stencils/Dies or both, the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #284-the diagonal-embellishments, free, flowers and The Beautiful Blossom Challenge #35-Anything Goes.

My last card is the smaller card that mirrors my larger card. 

I used the same die for the flowers and leaves, the same stamp/die set for my sentiment but changed the background to a piece of pattern paper from the Fancy Pants Making Waves 6" by 6" paper pad. 

You can see my little thread nest underneath the flowers better on this card than my first card. I used the Metallic Thread by Altenew.

Which one do you like more? The A2 size or the 5 by 7 card? I like both for different reasons.

A NEW Challenge-Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #631

Hello Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #631 is a COLOR challenge-MAROON and GOLD.

I had so much fun creating my card using the Spellbinders Delivering Joy Sleigh Die and scraps of paper. I love creating a card that uses up my scraps!

I started off by using the Folk Art Background die from Waffle Flower Crafts to create the card background. I die cut the panel using Waffle Flower Crafts A2 Additional Piercing Layers die and used a Distress Tool to distress the edges.

I had fun tying a bow using Altnew gold Metallic Thread.

Another Snowman Card

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Happy Sunday! I am popping in with another card for some challenges.

The challenges that inspired this card are The Sketch n' Scrap Challenge and I used the sketch #238 for my card. I also was inspired by The Color Throwdown #839 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Stitch it.

The "stitches" are created using a Spellbinders Winter Borders die set. I used the colors in a lighter shade of aqua on my card instead of the dark color.

The pattern paper is Penny Black's Festive & Frosty Pad. The embossed background I created using Spellbinders Seaside Cardstock and a Simon Says Stamp! Snowflake Visions embossing folder. I then brushed some Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink over the top.

The snowman is the Village Snowman die from Simon Says Stamp. The polka dot pattern paper is from my stash and I die cut it using a Pinkfresh Studio die set.

A Couple of Cards for Some Challenges

Hello friends!!

I am just popping in with some cards for some challenges. I love summer because I am able to spend time in my craft room. However, I should be cleaning it rather then creating. It is a MESS!!! 

The first card I created was for Freshly Made Sketches #697. Last week I dies from Spellbinders Small and Large Die of the Month Club and die cut a ton of images. I decided to use the die cuts from the Large Die of the Month for my card. One thing that I had a lot of fun with is picking through all my paper scraps for my cutting.

Below is the sketch I used for my card. I am also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.

I dug out my Christmas Paper Pads to augment my card. The paper is from Penny Black Festive & Frosty paper pad.

I used a scrap of Basic Grey paper for the blue strips. How I wish that paper company still existed!!!

The little border is a die from Spellbinders and the embossing folder is Twirling from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is a sticker from Tim Holtz idea-ology Christmas Stickers. 

My next card that I created is for the Jingle Belles Challenge. It was a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I chose the first column down-animal, die cut, red.

I started by embossing the white background using the Twirling embossing folder.

I used a little mouse that was from my stash but I believe is from Lawn Fawn. I think it was a Stamptember stamp purchase? 

I had a blast making the red panel with different shades of red Distress Stain. I added some white acrylic paint and some foundry wax when the stain was dry. 

I am not sure who made the sentiment. It was in my stash.

My last card is NOT a Christmas card. I created it for my husband's friend's 60th birthday. I am entering it into the Little Red Wagon Challenge #818-Masculine.

I used paper and die cuts from 49 & Market. This card is a 5" by 7" card, a size I NEVER create!!

I did a bit of distressing on the edges and then dragged Vintage Photo Distress Ink along the edges.

For the numbers on this card I used dies from The Greetery.

Well, that is all from me today. I have some other cards I created but will post them another time.
