Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
I have had fun playing in my craft room the last couple days after not having any mojo in ions to create anything. Instead I have been buying stuff I don't need (shhh-don't tell my husband!!) to try to jump start my creative juices. I should have been cleaning up my room instead but that doesn't do a thing for me but get me a clean room!!
Today I am posting cards I created for the Twofer Card Challenge #23.
The theme was hearts this month and I used the negative hearts from a card that I created with the Simon Says Stamp "Stacked Hearts" die.
The first card was inspired by a sketch from last weeks TGIF challenges. I never made it in time but decided to use the sketch anyway as I thought it was kind of fun.
I used the My Favorite Things "All Star High Top" dies with a scrap of Doodlebug Designs pattern paper from the "Sweetheart" collection.
I used Paper Trey Ink Kraft pattern paper for the background.
I used two hearts on this card, coloring both with Copic markers. The one by the sentiment is NOT how it was supposed to look. For some reason my glitter glue separated and poured out like a liquid!!! The
I have to say that I LOVE how this sneaker came out and wish I had a pair like this for me!!!
My second card was literally put together with scraps from my desk, with the exception of the sentiment. I used this weeks CASE this Sketch #355 as my starting off point.
Instead of a rectangle, I alluded to the rectangle with the way I layered my die cut rick rack.
I layered this over a piece of pattern paper from an old Pebbles paper pad.
I scattered the hearts willy nilly throughout the little block. I decided not to color them because I didn't want them to get lost in the design.
The sentiment is from the new Hero Arts kit that I got in the mail this week. I was so happy to use it!!
Well, that is all from me today. I am so happy that I actually wanted to create something let alone have an idea!!! I have a ton of new stuff to play with so I am hoping to have time tomorrow to have fun too.
I thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!!

So fun Nora, love that sneaker!
I'd say your mojo is back in a BIG way Nora as I'm loving both of your cards! I would definitely wear a pair of sneakers like your FABULOUS one on your 1st card too...it's perfect and I love the subtle addition of the 2 hearts! Really like the design layout too! Your Valentine card is so simple but boy does it pop!! I'm glad you left the hearts white, because they really do stand out against all the red! And the design layout on this card is fabulous too! Thanks so much for sharing these beauties with us at The Twofer Challenge!! :0)
I'd love a pair of those shoes! And in all kinds of colors, too! You found the most perfect paper for them, and the red and white 'lace' is a great choice. Polka dots are always a hit with me, and they compliment the sneaker perfectly. Fabulous card. Your Valentine has a sweet CAS look even with that wonderful patterned paper. Love how your rick rack mimics the rectangle of the sketch. Girl, you so rock. Both of these are fabulous cards. Thanks so very much for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. xo Bev
Darling hi-top, Nora - such a fun take on that sketch! And I love your Valentine for CAS(E)!! Perfect on the plaid with the little ric-rac strips!!
That sneaker is fabulous, love the little heart in the logo patch. So cute. Your Valentine is sweet as well and is another good place to use up some of those heart bits. Thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge #23.
What a great twofer Nora! That shoe is amazing with all the details and I love that paper! Those shoes would be a huge seller in any shoe store! I love how you created the rectangle shape with the rick rack! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Oh, my gosh, that shoe is so cute! I would wear that! Great sketch, too! And another great sketch for your sweet Valentine. Your cards are perfect all the way around!
CUTE CUTE cards Nora! That shoe is so much fun!
Oh, I need some shoes like that! What fun cards, and both very different.

That sneaker is amazing, Nora, and when you find someone to make you a pair, order me a pair, too! Those pink and red shades go so well with kraft and I love the sketch you used (saving!). And your Valentine is another great take on a sketch. Good job using pp and I love the way you used the rick rack to represent the rectangle with your sentiment and hearts arranged organically!! Thank you so much for finding your mojo and playing in Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary challenge! Hugs, Darnell
