Three Different Cards Using a Greenery Swag Die

(Some links are Affiliate Links, used at no extra cost to you!!)

Happy Sunday!!!

Just popping in with a few cards I created using some of the same supplies. I started all of them off using Simon Says Stamp Greenery Swag Wafer Dies.  My goal this year is to use supplies that I HAVE, rather then investing in new things. I cannot tell you how many things that are organized but never used.

The first card uses the Greenery Swag combined with Honey Bee Stamps Burlap Embossing Folder, Many Merry Christmas Sentiments and Essential Arches from Spellbinders Paper Arts.

I used a ton of different Ranger Distress Inks to shade in all the pieces.

I used Nuvo Cryastal Drops and Stickles for the middle of the flowers.

My second card was inspired by the sketch from last weeks AAA Card Challenge-Challenge #256

Of course, I didn't get the card in on time!! Again, I combined the same Greenery Swag and Burlap Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages: Holiday

My last card I mixed it up a little bit and didn't create a "Christmas" card. Instead I designed a sympathy card.

I used the Altenew Crystal Wall 3D Embossing Folder on the background. I think it is retired.

The hugs die cut is from PaperTrey Ink and the sentiment flag is from my stash.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you like my cards. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Freshly Made Sketches #601

Hello friends!!

Just popping in with a card for Freshly Made Sketches #601 and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Stamp It

I created this card with the Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Stem.

The stamp in the background is the "Script" background from Hero Arts.

The stencil is Sweet as Honey from Photo Play and the embossing folder is from Spellbinders.

I also created a second card that was just a tiny bit different from the first card.

I used the same materials, with the exception of the the embossing folder. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.

I LOVE how these came out and was SO FUN to create. I just played around with stuff I have had for eons and used them!!

Well that is all from me. Thanks for stopping by. Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

Popping in With a Few Challenge Cards

Hey Friends!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

I am popping in with a few cards I created for some challenges. One of my New Year's goals was to create more cards for challenges so here I am!!!

My first card I created for two challenges. I used the colors from The Color Throwdown #725 and the TGIF Challenges #403.

The Color Throwdown  was to use the colors red, green and brown on a project.

The TGIF Challenge this week was a sketch challenge, which I decided to make it portrait angle.

For my card, I used a Stampin Up! embossing folder, a Simon Says Stamp die cut and a Kat Scrappiness leaf.

I added some clear sparkle pen inside the Copic colored flowers and Glossy Accents.

One of my other goals is to use products that I already have colored in, die cut or stamped. I have sixteen small drawers where I put these "extras" as I call them and my goal is to use them up.

For my second card, I created with my extras.

Instead of a white background, I used embossed a piece of red cardstock. I used the same Simon Says Stamp! flower die and a leaf from Kat Scrappiness.

The sentiment is from The Ton.

For my next card, I created for the Global Design Team Project challenge.

The challenge was to CASE the image below.

I used some white embossing ink on a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder and embossed a piece of purple cardstock.

The intricate flower die is from Altenew and the butterfly is from Pinkfresh Studio. Everything, besides the embossed background, was from my "extra" drawer.

Well, that is all from me today!!! I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS day!!

Just a Reminder for this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

 Hello Friends!!! Happy July 4th!!!

Today I am popping in with a reminder for this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #547. The theme is "Oh My Stars."

Below is this weeks Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge.

Source

Once again I did not use the traditional red, white and blue on my card. I went with a beach theme. I used the image from "Summer Circles" by Pretty Pink Posh, which I colored in using Copic Markers.

The star fish border was stamped in pink using the Seas and Greetings stamps from Simon Says Stamps. The die cut starfish is from a Hero Arts die set and the sentiment is from a Concord and 9th stamp set.

Once again, I LOVE how this card came out!!! It is a simple design but was fun to create.

I hope that you join us this week at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. It is always so fun to see what you create.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS 4th of July!!

A Few Cards for the Online Card Class on Crushing Cardstock

 Hey Friends!!

Just popping in really quickly today to post three cards that I created for last weeks Online Card Class--Crushing Cardstock. I was not able to complete all the homework for the class this weekend as was planned. Cleaning my house got in the way!!! However, I did create a few cards to post.

My first card was inspired by Cathy Zielske's Day 1 class. I created a simple card by using the Altenew embossing folder *Ranunculus Bouquet 3D and some blue cardstock.

I then went above and beyond by using some Hero Arts *Unicorn White pigment ink over the top of the embossed image.

I added a white die cut sentiment that was cut using the Papertrey Ink Big Hugs Die

My last step was to adhere some pearls around the image in random places. This was a fun card to make and I love the simplicity of it.

I am going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.

My second card was from a Day 1 lesson by Caly Person

It was to weave cardstock strips together. I used strip dies from The Stamp Market to die cut various colors of purple cardstock, in a few sizes. I then wove them together to make this background. This was kind of time consuming to do but fun. I have a bunch of extra strips to make other creations at a later time.

I added my woven panel to a white card base and added a Pinkfresh Studio *Curvy Leaves die cut to the card. I covered the die cut with a *Clear Brush Marker for some sparkle and shine.

I added a Prima Ephemera Flower from the *Watercolor Floral Collection over the leaves. The color matched the cardstock I used PERFECTLY!! I used Nuvo English Mustard Crystal Gloss Drops to punch up the flower center a bit and my clear brush marker over the flower.

The sentiment is from my stash. I believe it is by Taylored Expressions but not sure.

This was a fun technique and I think I would like to try it with either some smooshed colored cardstock or ink blending. I would have to have a bit of time, though, because weaving is a slow task. I am not a patient person so this was a stretch for me.

My last card that I am posting is from Day 2. Yana Smakula made some cards with some rays. I happen to have these *Color Block Slices by Spellbinders (presently on sale) and I pulled them out for the first time.

I literally went through my scrap drawer and pulled out various scraps in the same color family to use on this card. I then die cut my rays.

On some of the rays, I used various embossing folders that I had. (The stripe is from JoAnn's, the Dotted Flower Rings are by Sizzix and the lace is a Tim Holtz Alterations *Lace Texture Fade Embossing Folder)

Over my rays I adhered a Flower Cluster Wafer Die by Simon Says Stamps over the rays. The sentiment was die cut using The Ton's Bold General Greeting dies with *Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and Clear Brush Marker covering the top of each letter.

I adhered pearls from Mint Leaves Pearl Mix from Kat Scrappiness over the card front as a last touch. They are a mix of teal and green and I think punched this up just a bit. I had never seen pearls like this before and was glad that I had bought them.

I am going to enter this card into the Paper Players Challenge #556, which is a tic-tac-toe challenge. I used the left column-feminine, birthday, floral-as the inspiration. I am also going to enter this into this weeks Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #413-Birthdays.

This class was  a lot of fun and I encourage anyone from beginners to sophisticated card makers to take it. There are a few more techniques I am going to try but just need the time to actually attempt them. I wish I didn't need to work!!

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!!

In Full Bloom

Hello everyone!!

I am just popping in with a couple of cards I created this weekend for some challenges.

My first card is for this weeks CASE this Sketch Challenge #378. While this card did not come out as I had planned, I am still entering this into the challenge anyway.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card:

The flower is the Peeking Daisy die and sentiment is Tiny Words, both from Simon Says Stamp.

The paper is from Lawn Fawn (gingham) and Prima (yellow flowers). I colored the flower in with Copic Markers.

I added some glossy accents to the middle of the flower and some gold sequins around the sentiment to finish the card off. Lately, I am in bling mode!!

My second card was inspired by The Fusion Card Challenge. I was inspired by both the image (the blue colors and flowers) and the sketch. However, I did flip the sketch to make it a portrait card.

I decided to pull out some of my pattern paper 6" by 6" paper pads to embellish my cards. I combined Dress My Crafts Hydrangea Lawns paper (background) with some Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day stripes.

I then added flower pot with flowers that I die cut using Lawn Fawn's Little Flowers dies. I have had these flower dies FOR YEARS but have never used. They have been sitting on my desk to play with and this card was the perfect card to use them on.

The sentiment is from Altenew's Paint a Flower: Rose stamp set. I heat embossed it in white.

I do not usually make my backgrounds this bold but I LOVE this paper!! Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, even if I cannot get them to flower in my yard no matter how many times I watch videos on how to care for them.

I am also going to submit this card to Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!
