Hi everyone!!! I hope you are having a nice Sunday. The sun is out here and I started my day off with a walk with my neighbor. The temperature is a little chilly but the sun just makes it so worth it.
I am going to share a couple cards today. I apologize to you in advance that they are all sympathy cards. I know people hate making them but I find them so peaceful to create. That is weird isn't it?
I used The Stamp Market's Ready to Bloom Card Cover Die for the white flowers. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Crushed Grape Gloss for the flower centers.
I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp onto a die cut oval (retired MFT die) and heat embossed with Rangers Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder.
I used a PTI embossing plate to emboss the paper under the flowers and combined sentiments from two different sets on the inside of the card.
I am going to enter this card into The Flower Challenge's #54: Shades of Purple and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Beautiful Blossoms.
My second card I used the same basic supplies as my first card.
I changed up the sentiment and used My Favorite Things Deepest Sympathy Stamps and heat embossed with WOW! white embossing powder. I stamped this on a Pinkfresh Studio's Braided Oval that I die cut from purple cardstock.
I used yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow for the flower centers.
Again, I used the same sentiment stamps for the inside of my card but added a die cut rick rack to hide an ink spot. I was not going to throw it away!!
I am entering this card into The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #310, All About Occasions and The Paper Players Challenge #531: Spring is in the Air.
My next card is a card I made for someone who lost her baby recently. I was not able to go to the wake as I was not feeling well but I wanted to make sure that she knew how much I cared.
I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink to blend behind the Hero Arts Angel Wings.
I used foam adhesive to layer the heart over the wings and added some Prima flowers that I have had FOREVER over the heart. I created leaves using the small flower from CAS-ual Fridays 4 Petals Die.

I like the way you've layered the little flowers on your sympathy cards, these are lovely. So sorry for your friend's loss. I'm sure she felt the love that went into this special card.
That is not "weird" at all, Nora. There is a certain cathartic serenity inherent to sympathy cards, be it as the maker or the recipient. It's a feeling I've experienced before, too.
I am profoundly for the losses experienced by those who will be receiving these beautiful cards.

Hi, Nora - I found you through the Int'l Women's Day event and Casual Fri-Days sites. Wow, that sympathy card for the little girl sure is a precious creation. I feel for those parents. Your card succeeded in communicating that you care even if you could not attend. TFS your work - you are super-talented!!

I meant to say all THREE cards, are beautiful - perhaps it was subliminal? It's too sad to think about!

All three of these cards are gorgeous! It is so difficult to make them, but oh I know how much these will be appreciated. I lost My Sweet Mommy last week and I treasure all the cards that I have received. Your little flowers and the soft lavender are so lovely! SO happy you joined my challenge at The Paper Players this week!
All three cards are wonderful. Thanks for sharing them with us at the Paper Players this week
