For the large orange flower, I used a wire base to shape each petal and the leaves. I then put them all together with a stamen using wire to secure it. It is a bit bulky in shape but using wire helped in me being able to shape it how I wanted it on the card.
The pink flowers, the tape was cut into long strips. I then folded them over and twisted the tape into the flowers. I finished them off with pink sequins.
The yellow flowers were the most persnickety. I taped two pieces of tape over a strip of vellum to give them a bit of stability. I then folded the vellum over. Next, I used some scissors to cut the folded edge into strips, leaving a connected edge at the bottom. Next I rolled the flowers and taped them together using glue dots. These are the bulkiest flowers of all three.
After the flowers were completed, I die cut and stamped a cup using Paper Trey Ink's "Candy Cane Christmas" set and used foam adhesive to adhere to the vellum on the card front. I then layered all the flowers over this. My last step was to stamp and emboss the "thanks" sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp "Thanks" set onto the front.
This looks like such a simple card to make but it took a bit of time to put all the flowers together. It was worth it for the result, though. Wish me luck!!
Thank you for looking today. Have a fabulous day!!
