Twofer Card Challenge #8: Geometrics

Happy Thursday everyone!!

This is my second post for the day. My first post is here with a sneak peek of a card I made for the todays post on CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog. I created the two cards below yesterday and wanted to post them in time for the Twofer Card Challenge #8: Geometric.

My first card was inspired by a card from this post from Anna Kossakovskaya blog. I of course used different colors and added my own touches because I never can copy a design totally.

I changed the background on my card using a stenciled mono print technique so I could join the CAS Mix it Up Challenge and AAA Challenge too. However, my card is not that clean and simple but oh well. I added the stenciled layer to a brown, A2 card base.

 

I shaded the *Altenew "Shattered Triangle" die cuts with three colors of Distress Ink-*Antique Linen, *Walnut Stain and *Vintage Photo, and adhered the layers to over my patterned layer.

I added sequins and a sentiment from the *Altnew "Label Love" set to finish off my card. I also went over the colors of the triangle with a *sparkle pen but it is difficult to see in my photo.

For my second card, I die cut the triangles and made them into a Christmas tree.

I added some rhinestones in gold and red over the tree, as well as a star from my scrap pile. The sentiment is Mama Elephant's "Merry Greetings" stamp set.

I added the little mouse that I had colored ages ago and was in my stash because the card "needed" something else.

Pop Art Card Using CAS-ual Fridays Nate and Friday Stamp Set

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 2018 August Release: Nate and Friday

Hello everyone!! 

Today I am showcasing a card I created using the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Nate and Friday" stamp set.

To start off my card, I masked the white A2 card base and used Distress Ink to make red stripes. I then stamped the little paw print in black from the "Nate and Friday" stamp set for a cute border.

Next I masked off the dog stamp and stamped the heart in red. I masked off the heart and stamped the dog with black ink. I used the sentiment from the set and stamped it below the dog in red.

I then used a rectangle to die cut around the dog and adhered him to the card front. My last step was to use foam adhesive to adhere a black frame around the dog and used a bit of Glossy Accent on the heart for a little shine.

CAS-ual Friday August 2018 Release: Bushy Tailed and Fox Banner Fri-Dies

Hello everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Today I am giving you a sneak peek of the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Bushy Tailed" stamp set and the matching "Fox Banner Fri-dies."

Isn't he cute? I created the little fox by stamping him with Memento "Desert Sand" dye ink. I then used Zig Clean Color Markers and a water color brush to paint him in.

I then stamped the mail box from the previously released "Special Delivery" stamp set and colored it in with Copic Markers. The sentiment I stamped on the mail box was also from the "Bushy Tailed" set and fit perfectly.

I masked off the mailbox and used Distress Ink to blend in a the sky and a grassy area. I added the fox using foam adhesive to give it a pop.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps August 2018 Release: Foxy

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!!

Today I have another sneak peek from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps August 2018 release. I created a simple card using the new "Foxy" stamp set.

I stamped the fox with Versamark ink and heat embossed the image using white embossing powder. Then I repeated the process with the sentiment that is also from the set.

I then colored in the flowers, the leaves and the butterfly using gel markers in various colors.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps August 2018 Release: Be a Unicorn Stamp set and Unicorn Fri-die

Hi everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your day.

Today I am have a card showcasing the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Be a Unicorn" and matching "Unicorn Fri-Die." 

I created the background by doing watercoloring with distress ink and then flicking silver, white and lavender mist over the background. I added some stars I had cut out of silver paper using the "Fun-Fetti Fri-Dies."

The unicorn was colored in with Copic Markers. I used Diamond Stickles to draw lines in the mane and then added a few gems. (To see these details, click on the photo to enlarge it.) I adhered the unicorn to the card front using foam adhesive. 

I completed the card by heat embossing a sentiment from the stamp set in silver.

Altenew August 2018 Inspiration Challenge

Happy Wednesday!! 

Just popping in before I take my father and step mother out to lunch to post a card I created using the Altenew August 2018 Challenge as my inspiration. 

I LOVED this challenge because it paired two of my favorite colors together-orange and blue!!

I dug out my Altenew "Persian Motif" stamp set and randomly stamped, and then heat embossed, the images around my card with gold embossing powder. 

I then used my Zig Clean color markers to paint the colors on my flowers. I did a bit of flicking with the orange and blue paint when I was done painting.

I stamped and embossed a gold sentiment using the Altenew "Super Script" sentiment on to vellum and then cut it out. To complete my card I added a few sequins with clear gems on top.

CAS(E) This Sketch #284

Happy Tuesday!! 

Not so happy for me but am digesting some bad news today that I cannot post about quite yet. Please keep my father in your prayers as he is going in for some tests on Friday and all prayers are needed!!

Just popping in with a card I created using this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch #284 as my inspiration. Here is the card I made:

I actually took a little liberty on my card because I didn't add the extra card panel but chose to just make my pentagon flat on my card base.

The snail is from Avery Elle and the sentiment is Paper Trey Ink.

I am planning on sending this with Charlotte on Saturday so she has some birthday cards to give some of her friends when she is at college.
