Hello everyone!! It is a snow day here and I am having fun in my craft room. I should be making Valentine's but instead I did a challenge.
Today I am playing with "The Flower Challenge" blog. Challenge #5 is to CASE the guest designer. Here is my card:
Here is the guest designer, Therese's card. Isn't hers beautiful?
I was inspired by several things on this card. First, the die cut rose. I also liked how she used ink on the bottom of the word, as well as the pretty colors behind the roses.
My first step in making my card, I used Paper Smooches "Roses Wise Dies" to die cut a large rose and the matching leaf out of Neenah "White" card stock. I taped the rose die back in the panel but left where the leaf was to go back in blank.
I then used Simon Says Stamps "Stitched Rectangles" to die cut the panel and covered the back with foam adhesive. I placed the white card stock over an A2 sized card front that was covered with a piece of Fancy Pants patterned paper. The paper was a bit brighter then the inspiration piece but since it had rich, beautiful colors on it, I decided to use it.
Next I die cut the "wish" sentiment using PaperTrey Ink's "Good Times" die and blended Hero Arts "Raspberry Jam" ink over the bottom half of the word. I adhered this over the card front, adding an enamel dot over the "i."
The card front looked a little bland so I added some clear, iridescent sequins around the sentiment and covered the rose with a little sparkle using a Spectrum "Clear" Sparkle marker.
This was actually a quick card to put together once I found the right dies to use and the fun patterned paper to go behind the die cuts.
Once again, I am entering this card into "The Flower Challenge #5: CASE our Guest Designer." I am also going to enter this into the Happy Little Stampers Challenge-"Anything Goes with Dies." The paper behind looks like a watercolor though I did not paint it myself!
Before I go I have to show you a photo of my dog going outside to do his business. He was NOT a fan of this huge snowfall!! I had to shovel him a tiny path down our deck while the storm was still going on because he was too short to get through more then a foot of snow.
He is looking at me like "Really Mom?" Too funny!!
I thank you for stopping by tonight. I hope you are tucked in and staying warm on this winter Thursday.

Lovely bright happy card Nora. Being a pastel person myself I do admire people who can you bright colours as I am very timid about using them.

Beautiful card Nora! So bright and cheerful! Love it! Your little fur baby is darling :)
What a cool card Nora! The colors peeking through the die cut are awesome! Poor little pup. Our little Max (mini schnauzer) LOVED the snow. I would shovel him a path too, but he would jump in the deep stuff and plow his way through barking and hopping aroundLOL!!
Love the vibrant colours behind your floral die and around the edges. Such a lovely entry for this challenge.
Beautiful card. I love the bright background and how you used the sentiment.
Oh so bright and so much fun! Love how you have left the bright border and amped up the sentiment in two tones!
How pretty! I love the bright fun colors. Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers!
Lovely bright card Nora, love that pretty flower die too. Also love your sweet little doggie awww.Thank you so much for sharing with us over at 'The Flower Challenge' and we hope to see you again soon ;) Viv DT xx
Wonderful card, love the die you used for the flower and your background. Stunning.
I was just thinking of our little fella who can barely make himself go outside if its raining. Hate to think what his reaction would be to snow.
Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge Aileen DT
This is a beautiful CASE of Theresa's card Nora, love the intense colors on the background of the flower die, just perfect for our challenge at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.
Many thanks for joining us this time and hope you do it again soon.
Hugs,

PS. the picture of your sweet doggie is just adorable, his little face expression speaks louder than any bark, LOL!! Thank you for sharing it too.
Your bright colors really stand out beneath the white rose. Very pretty. Love the picture of your dog too! Made me smile.
Such a bright cheerful panel that really shows up the fab die cut rose.
Our small pooch loves the snow and gaily trips along on the surface while we trudge through the drifts. Mind it doesn't snow like that very often here!
Thanks for sharing at HLS. :)
