Stay Strong

Hello everyone!! Just popping in for a QUICK post.

I created a card for this weeks CASE this Sketch Challenge #369.

I masked off and did some ink blended stripes at the bottom. I kind of changed up where the sentiment was and I added a wreath element.

I think I might have STRETCHED this one a bit but the sketch is what my jumping off point was.

I have been using A LOT of what is on my desk again. It is filled with colored and die cut images. I go on the rampages with stamping, coloring and then die cutting images and then they just sit there. The coloring part of the whole process is a stress release for me so I just continue to do it.

I have also been pulling out dies to use that are new or have been put away in my stash that have been unused. I would like to say that I have not bought anything through this shelter in place but I can't. I just figure that I am supporting small business when I buy!!

My last photo is kind of a joke. I put on jeans today just to make sure they still fit!! They are a little tighter but I can still breathe. I need to do this for all the pairs I own!!

I decided two things at the beginning of this week. I am going to try to be more positive about myself and others. Inside my head has been pretty ugly lately and I have been very judgmental.

It is hard for me because I am an avid reader, educate myself on everything so when people are ignorant and don't listen to experts, it bothers me. My daughter has been working through all this and the general public that shops have sometimes been downright awful. It has made me very, very sad.

That is the end of my post. I thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS night and stay safe!!

Super fun card design Nora. Glad to hear you are working on being kind to yourself. I fine walking everyday around the neighborhood really helps me stay balanced. It is sad how some people have become during this difficult time right now, tell your daughter I really appreciate her working with the public.

Hugs Diane

Nora, your card is just lovely and brought me joy this morning! It is hard when people don't act the way we want them to, isn't it? I am struggling with the judgmental thing too! I am just praying for grace and mercy as I try to interact with everyone. Blessedly, I haven't had any real bad experiences, so I hope things go better for you! (I just decided to stop watching the news and go on FB!!!)

Your card is gorgeous, Nora, and just perfect for the sketch! Good for you using up your schtuffs! And good for you making sure you can still fit in your jeans! Congratulations! (Don't ever switch to elastic cuz you never go back, lol!) And good for you to try and be more zen and less judgmental. Not watching or reading the news for a coupla days each week - and then limiting when I do - has really helped me feel less angry and judgmental of all the stoopid people cuz it's hard not to feel that way! Just waking up each morning with a fresh positive outlook has helped too. One thing about this virus, it does get us all to finally live one day at a time and be grateful for every new morning! Sending mwahs and virtual hugs, Darnell
