Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527 Reminder

 Hello Crafty Friends!!

Today I am popping in to remind you of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527-Shades of Green.  This week I created another little scene with a dragon.

Once again, I used images generously donated by our sponsor- WWW.CRAFTYSCRAPPERS.IN-to create my card. Isn't she precious?

Below is the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527 Badge:

Source

I started off my card by creating a scene with a photo program using different images from WWW.CRAFTYSCRAPPERS.IN. I then printed out the scene on my computer and die cut it with a *Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die

I used Copic markers to color in the entire scene. I then layered the dragon over a dry embossed panel that was on top of an A2, *Neenah White, top folding card base.

Once again, I created little dragon "scales" with colored pencils. I used some *shimmer pen over the horns and the wings, and then covered both with *Glossy Accents

I think that this dragon came out cuter than last weeks!! My daughter saw this card and insists I send it out to her at college!!!

I so hope that you play with us this week at the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527. Be sure to hop on over to the BLOG POST to see what the other designers have created with these fun, little images!!! You can enter the challenge for a chance to win!!!

That is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527-Shades of Green

 Hello my Crafty Friends!!!

Today I am here with a card for the new Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #527-Shades of Green. I used a digital image from  WWW.CRAFTYSCRAPPERS.IN, our sponsor for this challenge.

Isn't this little dragon a cutie?

Below is the badge for this weeks Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #526-Shades of Green.

I used a photo program to make this little scene with the clouds and my little dragon. I printed it out twice-once on printer paper and once on *Neenah White Cardstock. I started out by cutting masks out of printer paper, covering the clouds and the dragon, and then shading the background using *Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Next I used my Copic markers to color in the dragon and shade the clouds a bit. I used a *Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die to die cut my panel and two scraps of green pattern paper. I adhered all to an A2, green, top folding card base, as shown.

I then did a technique I have NEVER done before to get the little "scales" on my dragon. I used a two colors of green colored pencil-a dark green and a light green-and made tiny circles all over the dragon. This gives the illusion of scales!! I LOVE how it came out!!

I covered the clouds and the wings with a *clear shimmer pen. I used *Glossy Accents over the horns and the wings to make them stand out. My last step was to adhere the sentiment, which was also gifted to us.

I encourage you to come on over and play with us this week. I so want to see your take on this challenge!!! Hope on over to the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #526 to link up your creation!!

That is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #526 Reminder

Hello everyone!!

Today I am popping in with another card I created for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #526-Take Flight. Unlike my card from last week, I did not use a plane. I decided to use a butterfly. They fly, right?

Below is the inspiration for my card. I chose to use the theme, rather than the photo to create this.

To start my card off, I used an embossing folder to emboss a doily onto a piece of *Neenah White Cardstock and die cut it with a Mama Elephant rectangle die. I then adhered it over a purple, A2, top folding card front.

I added a gray circle over the top of the doily and stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp. Next, I used foam adhesive to adhere the *Small Butterflies from Pinkfresh Studio. I had stamped these little beauties with *Vintage Photo Distress Ink, colored them in with Copic Markers and then stamped again with *Versamark to heat emboss with Ranger *Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I then die cut them out with the matching *Small Butterflies Dies

I added some *Glossy Accents in some of the veins of each butterfly and then added some purple sequins.

I LOVE how this came out!! It is simple and I am going to be sending this out to a special someone who is having a bit of trouble right now.

Please hop on over to the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge Blog to see what the other Design Team members created. I hope that you will play with us this week!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays 2021 July Release-Partly Cloudy Stencil

Hello Crafty Friends!!

I am popping in today with a simple card that I created using the new CAS-ual Fridays *Partly Cloudy Stencil. I am going to admit that this is my favorite stencil from the release!!!

I started off this card by stenciling the sun from the *Partly Cloudy Stencil using *Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.

I then went over the stencil with *Mustard Seed Distress Ink.

The last ink I blended over the top of the sun stencil was Wild Honey Distress Ink.

To get the blend that I wanted, I then went over the sun again with each ink I used but in reverse order, starting with Mustard Seed and ending with the Wild Honey. When this was dry, I used Hero Arts *Soft Sky dye ink and the edges of the Partly Cloudy Stencil to create the clouds.

I rotated the stencil edges, using one, flipping the stencil, and then using the new edge, all the way down my paper so that all my clouds were just a tiny bit different.

When this was complete, I cut the panel into a square and distressed the edges. I adhered the square on a top folding, Kraft, A2 card base that I had already placed two square pieces of distressed pattern paper.

I covered the sun with a *Clear Glitter Marker and adhered two, small clouds that were die cut using the *Raindrops Duo dies.

My last step was to adhere a sentiment that I had masked and stamped using the *Supercalifragilistic Stamp set and my card was complete. I LOVE how this card came out and it was so simple to create!!!

The *Partly Cloudy Stencil, as well as the whole release is available now in the *NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Shop. Use my code, NORASENTME, to get an extra 15% off your total order, including sale items!!

Stay Strong

Hello everyone!! Just popping in for a QUICK post.

I created a card for this weeks CASE this Sketch Challenge #369.

I masked off and did some ink blended stripes at the bottom. I kind of changed up where the sentiment was and I added a wreath element.

I think I might have STRETCHED this one a bit but the sketch is what my jumping off point was.

I have been using A LOT of what is on my desk again. It is filled with colored and die cut images. I go on the rampages with stamping, coloring and then die cutting images and then they just sit there. The coloring part of the whole process is a stress release for me so I just continue to do it.

I have also been pulling out dies to use that are new or have been put away in my stash that have been unused. I would like to say that I have not bought anything through this shelter in place but I can't. I just figure that I am supporting small business when I buy!!

My last photo is kind of a joke. I put on jeans today just to make sure they still fit!! They are a little tighter but I can still breathe. I need to do this for all the pairs I own!!

I decided two things at the beginning of this week. I am going to try to be more positive about myself and others. Inside my head has been pretty ugly lately and I have been very judgmental.

It is hard for me because I am an avid reader, educate myself on everything so when people are ignorant and don't listen to experts, it bothers me. My daughter has been working through all this and the general public that shops have sometimes been downright awful. It has made me very, very sad.

That is the end of my post. I thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a FABULOUS night and stay safe!!

October 2019 CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 5

Happy Halloween!! I hope you are all having a FABULOUS day. I know for some of you Halloween is up there with Christmas. I hope you are rocking your costumes today.

Today the design team and I are showcasing a card created with the new "This Sucks" stamp set, available RIGHT NOW in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Store.

I began this card by using the CAS-Fridays Curtis Stencil to emboss yellow and red Distress Ink on a die cut, white panel. I then stamped the sentiment five times using different shades of red ink. These symbols represent swears and when I swear, I am often seeing red so I thought it was appropriate.

I mounted the panel on a yellow, A2, top folding card. I then stamped the second part of the sentiment in black ink.

I then cut around the edge of the black and mounted it onto my card using foam adhesive. My last step was to use some red Nuvo drops randomly around the card.

If you want to shop for all the new CAS-Fridays Release, use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Sneak Peek Day 2-Doing Great

Happy Monday everyone!! I am here today to showcase another NEW stamp set from the October release for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Today the design team and I are showcasing the new Doing Great stamp set.

I started off my card by using bubble wrap to create my background. I covered some bubble wrap that I had on my desk with the new Hero Arts reactive ink, misted it with water and "stamped" it onto a white, A2 card front.

While the card panel was drying, I heat embossed the large sentiment from the Doing Great stamp in white and blended the same color inks over the top. I used a rounded rectangle die to die cut the sentiment and used foam adhesive to adhere it to the card front.

My last step was to adhere some clear sequins randomly around the sentiment.

To see more inspiration from the design team using this stamp set, as well as to enter a give away to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store, head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog.

These new stamps, as well as the rest of the release, are available in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store. Use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order.

That is all from me today. I will be back again tomorrow with another project for the new release.
