Just For You

Hey Friends!! I hope you all are well.

It has been an absolutely BEAUTIFUL weekend, blue skies, low 80's and low humidity. We were able to give the dogs a long walk yesterday, something I was not able to do this week. The humidity combined with my 4th booster for COVID just killed me. I don't mind heat-I can handle it. I HATE HUMIDITY. It is my nemesis. I don't mind heat-I can handle it.

Charlotte is now officially back in Maryland-her new home. She registered her car, got a new license and will start her job on August 29th. She was home for almost the whole summer and I will miss her. However, I am a parent that feels you have to let your children go for them to flourish. I could not let go from my father after my mother died due to a lot of things but wish I had as much courage as Charlotte has. I admire her

I am popping in with some cards for some challenges. I stayed up late this week while my husband was away and stamped some images from The Greetery.

Do you do this? I have not had a ton of mojo lately, due to not feeling good but I did feel well enough to stamp. I used a combination of Pinkfresh Studio and Altenew cube inks to stamp everything.

For my first card, I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #548 as my inspiration.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that inspired this card.

I used some of the images I stamped from The Greetery on this card over the strip on the right.

I used paper from Fancy Pants Design on my card as well. I thought it was perfect for this card!!! I adore how this came out.

For my next card, I used the sketch from
Just Add Ink #616 as my inspirations.

I am not going to lie, my card is a stretch and has a lot more detail than the sketch but my card was developed around it.

I started off by using paper from 49 and Market. I used a piece from Tidal Wave for the bottom and I embossed a background using a Memory Box die on pattern paper from the Strawberry Lemonade Collection. I have to say, I LOVE this paper!! I know some people like to make their backgrounds and I do...sometimes. I adore pattern paper and love to incorporate it into my cards.

I paired the paper with some stamped flowers and pitcher from The Greetery. I used some orange mesh paper for the circle in the sketch and colored a piece of the Floral Lace die cut from Altenew at the bottom.

I covered the pitcher with Glossy Accents-leaving some bubbles in is. I peruse my pottery and sometimes the glaze does have bubbles so I made a conscious decision to leave it in.

I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in the flower centers. Won't be doing that again!! My drops were  a bit thick and didn't smooth out how I wanted no matter what I did!! My sentiment was one I printed myself.

I am also going to enter this card into this month's Flower Challenge. It was to use circles on your card. I think qualifies!!

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Your cards are beautiful Nora! I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and that the dogs got to walk (humidity is not my friend either lol).

Beautiful cards, Nora. I love how you used your circles for the pitcher card, also the Glossy accents were genius! Sounds like a perfect day spent stamping all those images! It's something I too love to do. So glad you joined us at the flower Challenge
