Some Challenge Cards

Hey Crafty Friends!!

Just popping in with some cards that I created for some challenges. I will not be able to create anything due to my schedule for the next couple of weeks so I have been trying to craft as much as possible!!!

I am entering this into this weeks JUGS Challenge. It is a stencil week this week and I used the Spellbinder's Petalburst Stencils as my background.

The border was cut with a die from Simon Says Stamp! and my butterfly is from the Nordic Cheery Butterflies from Poppy Stamps.

The leaves that are on my card are Pinkfresh Studio's Curvy Leaves-some of my favorite leaves ever!!! The thank you sentiment is from Altenew's Craft Your Life Project Kit-Arched Foliage.

I am entering this in the Just Us Girls Challenge #829-Stencil Week and If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #217-June In the Garden.

My next card I created for a friend. This card was inspired by this week's The Paper Player Challenge #792.

I dug out some 49 & Market paper, the SSS With Sympathy stamp/die set and the Mini Bloom and Sprigs die from Spellbinders.

I LOVE how this card came out. The little tickets are from the 49 & Market paper pack.

I even used the pattern paper to die cut the flowers and leaves.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS Sunday!!

A Couple of Challenge Cards

Hey Crafty Friends!!!

Ahhh!! The first week of school vacation!!! I have been busy relaxing, working out again AND CRAFTING. It is so nice to be able to get to my craft desk to create.

My first card I created for two challenges.

I used this round of the Color Hues Challenge #135 and this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

I used the Petal Burst stencil by Spellbinders for my background.

The sentiment was stamped/die cut using the SSS With Sympathy Stamp set.

The black leaves were die cut with the Curvy Leaves die from Pinkfresh Studios.

My second card I created for Freshly Made Sketches #742 and the All Sorts Challenge #852.

Before I post my card, I need to preface that I really STRETCHED how the sketch inspired me. I went through die cuts that are in my "extra" pile and wanted to use the orange suitcase as the blue strip in the sketch.

The hat was my "circle" and the green suitcase is the foliage. I put the sketch over my card to show how my thought process is.

I used the Honey Bee Stamps Small Suitcase dies for most of the dies on this card.

The background paper is from the Been There Collection by Arden Studio. I had fun distressing the edges on this pattern paper and layering it over an A2, top folding card base.

The sentiment is from Altenew's Sentiment Strips 3. I cut it up to fit the card. I thought it was kind of appropriate to this card.

Well that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a fabulous day!

A Sympathy Card

Hey Friends!!!

Just popping in with a card that I created for some challenges. One of my friends just lost her father and I wanted to make a sympathy card for her. This card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #741 and Just Add Ink #788.

This is not a clean and simple card. I used 49 and Market Faded Memory Lane paper, Filmstrip and Postage Laser Cuts, Faded Memory Lane Ephemera and Simon Says Stamp! With Sympathy stamp/die set for the sentiment.

Below are the badges of the challenges I am entering this card into.

I had fun distressing the images on this card and Vintage Photo Ink around the edges to get a distressed look.

Well, that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. have a FABULOUS day!!!

Always There Release at Simon Says Stamp!

Hello Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card for the Simon Says Stamp! "Always There" product release!!! They asked me to join them this month and sent me the "With Sympathy" stamp set to play with. I was so honored to be asked to be a part of this release.

I started off by stamping the branch image from the "With Sympathy" stamp set with Simon Says Stamp! Raindrop Pawsitively Saturated Ink. I have slowly been collecting all of their inks and this was the first time I used this color. It is so dramatic!!!

I then used white Jelly Roll pen to add some white detailing inside the stamped images. It looks so good with the dark green.

I adhered my stamped panel over an A2 card green card base which just happened to match the Raindrop ink. Sometimes being a hoarder pays off!!!

I added an embossed sentiment from "With Sympathy" and used a few jewels from the SSS Cool Tones Pawsitively Dazzling Gems set to finish my card off. I LOVE how this came out and will be duplicating this card in other colors for my stash.

Hop on over to Simon Says Stamp! to see more of the new release. There are a TON of great examples from the designers.

Thats all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Sunday, Fun Day!!

****Some links in this post are affiliate links used at no extra cost to you.

Hello friends!!!

I have not been posting lately but I have been creating. I haven't been in the mood to blog as of late as the state of the world is just so depressing to me.

That said, I am popping in with some cards for some challenges. My first card I created using the Freshly Made Sketches #706 and this week's Just Add Ink #772, which is a color challenge, as inspiration. Am I the only weird one that goes back and looks at old sketches when I need an idea?

I used Prima Marketing "Bewitched" Paper Pad, chipboard stickers and Ephemera for this card. The moon was created with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask stencil.

Below are the badges I used for my inspiration. The colors that inspired me from the Just Add Ink are the purple, brown, gray and the orange leaves on the broom.

I think these die cuts are so much fun and the pattern paper needs nothing, though I did distress the edges of all the paper on my card.

I always feel funny when I make Halloween cards because I do not usually send them out. It isn't a holiday that most people I know celebrate!!

My next card I created I used three challenges as my inspiration- Freshly Made Sketches #709, Just Us Girls Challenge #798 and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #282

Instead of a square card, I created a rectangle card. I used two different stencils on my background, as well as some ink smooshing. I used the diagonal starting from the top left of the TTTC card-Leaves, Free and Die Cuts.

I used the Beautiful Branch die from Simon Says Stamp for my flower. I used the leaves as my "banner" and the sentiment as the rectangle in the sketch.

Like I stated above, I ink smooshed, then used TWO stencils on my background-a polka dot and the Grime Stencil from Tim Holtz. I then ran the white panel through my Platinum with the Honey Bee Burlap Embossing Folder-my absolute FAVORITE!!! The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Crafts.

My last card for today I used the Festive Friday #196 info list as my inspiration for my card.

I chose to use red, poppies and paper piecing for my card.

As I look at this, I am not even sure that these are poppies!! However I think they look like them!

This is such a simple card but I LOVE how the flowers came out!!!

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

There is Time for a New Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!

 Hey Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #616 is a THEME challenge-TREES.

I actually created TWO cards for this week. I used the Strong Oak Stencil and Die from Altnew for this card. Below is the Challenge Badge for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #618:

What was fun about making this card was I stenciled the whole tree on a panel, die cut it out and then cut it in two. This made it so I could make TWO cards from one die cut!!!

This was such a fun way to make easy, masculine cards!!!

I made a sympathy card with one. I used the same stencil for the grass and added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky.

My second card I popped up a sentiment banner to finish off my card. I definatly will be using this set again soon!!!

There is a NEW CHALLENGE over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge-Challenge #615

 Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card for the NEW round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #615 is a COLOR challenge. Create a project using the colors ORANGE, PINK and WHITE.

I had fun using a combination of die cuts and pattern paper. The orange background is from 49 & Market. The tag is from Reverse Confetti (a store that I loved but is now defunct.)

Below is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Badge for Challenge #615:

The flowers are from MFT that I die cut from a mixture of pattern paper and cardstock.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps. I know that orange and pink are not a common sympathy color but I don't care. I love how this came out.
