Hey Friends!!
Just popping in with a few cards I created for some challenges. I have been busy this weekend playing in my craft room. I am trying to use a mix of my old and new supplies. I was supposed to be on a buy nothing challenge with myself but I blew that already. Hopefully I will do better.
My first two cards I created using two challenges as my inspiration. I used the Color Hues Challenge for my colors and one of the pillows from the Inspired By... Challenge for my design.
This is my first card that I created. I had a lot of fun using a star embossing folder by Simon Says Stamp, a die by Paper Rose (stars) and a sentiment from Waffle Flower.
I loved that I had some old Zing Embossing Powder that matched the lime in my cardstock exactly!!! The inspirations badges for both challenges are below.
For my second card, I did the same design as the first but I flipped the colors.
The stamps are a mix from Stampers Anonymous. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps.
I used an old kit from Simon Says Stamp for all the products on this card. The circle die in an old one from Reverse Confetti. Instead of papers flipped on the side behind the circle, I used leaf ephemera.
The ephemera is from Tim Holtz. The paper was in the kit and I am not sure who made it. The sentiments were from my stash.
I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and ink blended around the edges of everything.

What bold CAS cards you've created with the navy and lime challege! I love those stitched stars and the subtle stars created with the embossing folder make a great background. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!

Nora, you were definitely a busy crafter this weekend, making three fabulous cards! The vintage look of the 3rd one is so pretty with all the ephemera, and I really like both of the cards you made with our CH colors too! What a fabulous use of the colors!! I love it both ways - and I love them both with the stars and with the grunge in the background!
