Happy Sunday with Some Challenges

Hey Friends!!

Just popping in with a few cards I created for some challenges. I have been busy this weekend playing in my craft room. I am trying to use a mix of my old and new supplies. I was supposed to be on a buy nothing challenge with myself but I blew that already. Hopefully I will do better.

My first two cards I created using two challenges as my inspiration. I used the Color Hues Challenge for my colors and one of the pillows from the Inspired By... Challenge for my design.

This is my first card that I created. I had a lot of fun using a star embossing folder by Simon Says Stamp, a die by Paper Rose (stars) and a sentiment from Waffle Flower.

I loved that I had some old Zing Embossing Powder that matched the lime in my cardstock exactly!!! The inspirations badges for both challenges are below.

For my second card, I did the same design as the first but I flipped the colors.

I used some Lime cardstock from Gina K Designs, as well as the matching Key Lime ink to stamp on the card front.

The stamps are a mix from Stampers Anonymous. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps.

My third card I created was inspired by a sketch from Sunday Stamps #352.

I used an old kit from Simon Says Stamp for all the products on this card. The circle die in an old one from Reverse Confetti. Instead of papers flipped on the side behind the circle, I used leaf ephemera.

The ephemera is from Tim Holtz. The paper was in the kit and I am not sure who made it. The sentiments were from my stash.

I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and ink blended around the edges of everything.

Well, that is all that I have today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night!!

Christmas Cards for Some Challenges

Hey Friends!!!

Just popping in with some cards that I created for some challenges. I had some new supplies that I bought and they were delivered this past week. I HAD to use them!!

My first card I created for this weeks Inspired By... Challenge #306. I used the colors from the badge-orange, peach, tan and the dark green of the leaves. The stamp set I used is from Pinkfresh Studio.

Below is the badge for #IB306.

I  used the Simon Says Stamp Tessellating Snowflakes embossing folder for my background. I die cut it using an old MFT Blueprints Die #27.

My next card was inspired by two challenges-Tuesday Morning Sketches #778 and the Color Throwdown #815.

Once again I used the same Pinkfresh Studio Festive Foliage Tree Stamp/Dies/Stencil set.

I used another Simon Says Stamp embossing folder for the right side of my card.

For my third card, I used this the SAME stamp set but made a card for this weeks Jingle Belles Challenge. It was to use PINK on a card.

I did a little distressing on the edges of the bright pink cardstock and then cut off the tree so that I could put my sentiment on the embossed panel.

My last card I created using a bunch of die cuts that I had cut and put together over the year.

I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #658 as my inspiration for my card.

This sketch was PERFECT for all the tiny die cuts that I used. All of them are different Spellbinders dies.

Well that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS week!!

The Coloring Challenge and a Couple of Cards

Hello everyone!! Just popping in with a couple of cards I created today. I am actually surprised I was able to do anything as my daughter came home from college this Friday to spend her spring break with us but I had a little bit of time away from her to make some cards.

My first card I used NBUS stamps from Gina K Designs and the Mariposa Butterflies from Altenew.

The inspiration for my card came from two challenges-Freshly Made Sketches #425 and the Inspired By Challenge #114: Seeing Green.

The eucalyptus leaves are where the arrows on the sketch are and the color scheme was inspired by the greens from the photo. I so wish I had all that fun display in my house!!

Once again I made a sympathy card. I should have been making a belated birthday as I should have sent out a card to one of my friends on Friday and I totally forgot!!!

I used ink from Pink Fresh Studios. I like that the little cubes are in color families like Altenew!!!

The second card I created is a birthday card. I actually used the cut out from the butterfly on my first card as a stencil for the butterflies.

I should have only stenciled four butterflies BUT once again, I made a few mistakes and had to cover them up by stenciling more!!

This card was inspired by this weeks CASE this Sketch #362. Instead of the balloons, I used butterflies.

I am so happy that I got to play with some challenges!! I also have been playing with Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. It has helped me to destress after some really bad days this week!!  I have been coloring like crazy but have not photographed much.

This stamp set is from Reverse Confetti and I colored in the purples with Copic markers.

This I used Altenew Watercolors which I am TERRIBLE at. I know, I know, I should be gentle of myself but I don't love it. I will be using it though as it took me a TON of time to create!!!

I have been obsessed with watching comedy specials while I have been coloring. After seeing all the news about the Corona Virus I needed some laughter in my life. Netflix has some great comedy specials and were the laugh I needed this weekend.

That is all from me today!! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a FABULOUS week!!

A Crafty Weekend!!

Hello everyone!! Happy Sunday!! I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend. I have been crafting away, using a bunch of things from my stash that I have been wanting to play with for a while. I also have been using a bunch of SCRAPS from my patterned paper stash. I am trying to use it a bit more and this weekend I had a TON of success!!

The first two cards I created I used three challenges as my inspiration. I LOVE that I had time...and actual ideas (which don't always match up in my world!) to create these two cards.

I used a TON of patterned paper scraps, as well as some 6" by 6" paper to create this card. I even pulled out some stamp embellishments that I have had for YEARS to use on this card.

The sentiment was on one piece of the 6" by 6" pieces of paper. I had more then one piece so I cut it out and used foam adhesive to pop it up from the background. The stamps I used are the "Happy Thoughts," an older set from Simon Says Stamp.

The three challenges that inspired me were the photo from Inspired By..., the Time Out Challenge: Theme-Retro, and  Inkspirational Challenge: Use Your Stash.

Can you see where I was inspired by in the photo? I loved the fun frame and the use of the hanging letters!! I inked around the edges for a retro, vintage look.

I had so much fun with the first that I created a SECOND card using all three challenges!!

I had the panels already die cut from my stash and I used some extra envelopes I had left over from the first card.

This version has a little too much white space for me and I think I might have to go back and add a little something later. I do need thank you cards, though, so I might just use it!!

One thing I will admit, though, it was darn fun to get inky again. I used to ink up my cards all the time but haven't done it in a while. It was fun!!

If that was not enough, I created two more cards for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #337, which was a sketch.

Isn't this sketch so cute? I used a even more pattern paper scraps on the two cards I created for this challenge, as well as the same stamp set-"Foodie Friends"-from Simon Says Stamps.

Isn't that typewriter adorable? I masked the eyes on the paper to add a sentiment instead. The sentiment was from Memory Boxes "Best Life Typewriter Sentiments," which is now one of my new favorites.

I colored this typewriter in like the one I learned to type on. I added some Nuvo Clear Glitter Gloss over the keys, the spacebar and the rollers.

I went through my scrap box to find papers that had some kind of type on them to compliment the image.

For my second card, I used the same image but I masked out the faces on both the paper and typewriter.

I was less picky about finding print paper and was too lazy to look through my large amount of 6" by 6" paper pads. Sometimes the card just needs to be created!!

For this typewriter, I looked up images on the internet to find a color scheme.

This came out cute but I think I like my first version better!!

Well, that is all from me tonight. I thank you for stopping by. Tomorrow I have another card to show using yet another challenge. Have a FABULOUS night!
