25 Days of Christmas Tags

Happy Saturday!! I hope you are all enjoying your day.

Today I am popping in with some tags that I created for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog hop. If you have not heard of this hop, head on over because it is AMAZING. There are also PRIZES to be won!!!

The CAS-ual Fridays Design team made tags showcasing some of their Christmas products and are being featured on the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog today. I decided to go with my OBSESSION of snowflakes that I have been on this fall and create tags using snowflakes as the theme.

I chose to do multiples and use neutral colors to go with any wrapping paper. I started off by die cutting the large tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-dies twice from Kraft cardstock.

I then stamped and heat embossed two small snowflakes, in white, on each tag using the Snowy Sayings stamp set.

Next I flicked watered down white acrylic paint and gold watercolor over the top of the tags using a tooth brush.

When the paint was dry, I layered die cut snowflakes that I had cut using the Funky Flakes Fri-dies and adhered them to the tag. I covered the snowflakes with Diamond Stickles to give them some sparkle and shine.

When the Stickles were dry, I adhered some sequins in the middle of the snowflakes and added some ribbon with gold floss to the top of the tags.

My next two tags I die cut using the middle tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-dies.

I used the exact same paint technique on these two tags that I used on the larger tags.

I again die cut snowflakes using the Funky Flakes Fri-dies and adhered a couple together in a pattern on each tag.

I then added some Diamond Stickles on one of the section of the snowflake and added a gold sequin to the middle.

My last step was to add some white ribbon and gold floss to the top of the tags.

That is all from me today. I hope this inspires you to create some fun tags of your own. Be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see what the other girls from the team have created.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 20-CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to be here today to be a part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event organized by Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion Blog

I created my tags using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Mistletoe and Holly stamp set and matching Mistletoe Fri-Dies.

Each tag was die cut using the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Tag Buddies Fri-Dies. I die cut one tag from patterned paper and used white card stock for the other two.

On the white tags I did an ink smooshing technique using Distress Ink in two different colors. While they were drying, I stamped, die cut and colored the images using Copic Markers. I then added Nuvo Crystal Drops in white or red for the berries and covered the bows with a clear sparkle marker and Glossy Accents.

When the tags were dry, I stamped each with a black sentiment from the Mistletoe and Holly set.

Next I used foam adhesive to adhere each of the mistletoe sprigs to the tags.

I added some ribbon to each at the top and they were done!! Make sure to check out all the fabulous tags from all the other designers.

And to let you know, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is having a Black Friday special. If you place an order on that day, you will get a FREE mini-stamp set!!!

Snowflakes with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

It is hard to believe that it is the last day of November today. Where has the time gone?

Today it is my turn on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog. I created a holiday card and matching tag using two snowflake sets-"Snowy Sayings" and "Bring on the Snowflakes."

The colors were inspired by the image below.

It was also LOOSELY based on last weeks "Freshly Made Sketches #314.

I started off by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Snowy Sayings" in silver.

I then stamped the small aqua snowflake from the same set and the large snowflake from "Bring on the Snowflakes."

Next I stamped and heat embossed the large silver snowflake. I die cut the white panel and wrapped some silver thread around the front. I used a lighter piece of a patterned paper scrap behind the panel and mounted the whole thing on an A2 sized, top folding, aqua card.

My last step was to adhere some matching sequins and light colored jewels on the snowflakes and randomly around the sentiment.

For the tag, I actually used the practice piece I made for my card. I did the exact same process as my card but then used the middle sized Fri-die from "Tag Buddies" to cut out the tag.

I added some silver thread and thin ribbon to the top to finish as the finishing touch.

I love using different colors for my Christmas cards and I hope that this inspires you to create some fun snow themed cards too. Use my code-nora2017 at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps to get 15% off your next purchase-including sale items!!

I thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags With CAS-ual Fridays

Hello Everyone!! This is my second post for the day. If you want to see my Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge post, please go here.

Today I am so excited to be joining the 25 Days of Christmas Tags over at Tracey McNeely's blog. I LOVE browsing through all the fun tags every year and this year I get to join in with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!!!

For my tag, I chose to use CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Christmas Sparkle" and "Holly Jolly Borders" stamp sets to make my tag.

My inspiration? The peppermint sticks under the tag!!

To start, I stamped a diagonal border with red dye ink onto white card stock with the "Holly Jolly Borders" set. I then die cut the tag with the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Ornament Tag" Fri-Die.

Next I die cut a white circle with the large ornament tag and stamped the "no peeking" sentiment in green ink using the "Christmas Sparkle" stamp set. I adhered the striped circle onto some acetate and used a scrap of foam from packaging to give the tag the dimension needed for the different colored sequins that I included in the shaker part of the tag. I didn't use a ton of sequins as I wanted the sentiment to be seen.

I added a little ornament topper, also die cut using the "Ornament Tag" Fri-die.  My last step was to tie bits and pieces of ribbon, twine and fibers to make a little embellishment at the  top of the tag.

I want to thank Tracey McNeely for doing this fabulous series and letting CAS-ual Fridays Stamps contribute!!

Thank you for stopping by today!! I hope my tag inspires you to make some of your own!!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Christmas in July Release Party Day 2

Happy Monday everyone!!! Are you ready for a little sparkle and shine?

Today I am showing you some tags I created using CAS-ual Fridays Stamps new "Christmas Sparkle" stamps and "Tag Ornament Fri-Dies."

Isn't this stamp set so fun? I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw it!!

At Christmas, I wrap each person's presents in a specific wrapping paper and then add home made tags. So, for example, all Charlotte's gifts are wrapped with the same wrapping paper and then each gets matching bows and tags made especially to go with the particular paper. I knew that I wanted to use this set to start making some of my tags for this Christmas.

I started off by stamping the large circle from "Christmas Sparkle" in Delicata "Silver" pigment ink and heat embossing using WOW silver embossing powder.

I then stamped the sentiments using the same technique. However, for my first tag, I stamped the sentiment right on the tag. I thought it looked boring so for the other two tags, I stamped the sentiment on a separate, die cut circle and adhered them to the tags using foam adhesive.

After all the embossing was done, I then added Stickles in different colors in the middle of the circles that were not fully embossed. I die cut the circles using the matching "Tag Ornament" Fri-dies.

Next I die cut the ornament tops out of silver glitter paper. I die cut two for each tag, with the total of six. I adhered the top on both the front and the back of the tag.

I then adhered the "to/from" onto the back of each tag. I LOVE how they came out!! I will be making more of these as the month goes on in different colors to match the different papers I have.

This stamp set and ornament dies will be available at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store starting on Saturday. Be sure to use the code nora2016 to get 15% off your total order!!

For more beautiful sneak peeks of this stamp set, be sure to hop on over to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for links to the Ink Squad's blogs. Be sure to comment on all the designers blogs. Three random prizes will be taken from the comments on the blogs.

I appreciate you stopping by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Missing in Action and More Christmas Tags

Hello friends! Is everybody ready for the holidays? I have been absent here as I have been busy writing Christmas letters and wrapping presents.

I have also been proofing my daughter's freshman term paper and my whole family was tested for whooping cough in the last two days. My lovely daughter has been coughing her brains out, not able to catch a breath. Both my husband and her are now on antibiotics. I am not as I have had a Tdap shot in the last two years. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Today I am going to share some more tags that I created for Christmas. I made them a couple weeks ago when I actually still had time. I haven't sat down at my craft desk since then.

The first tag I created using a "Sweet Treats" stamps and tags by Spellbinders. I stamped the background in red. It was not the juiciest ink pad and have since re-inked it. I then layered a die cut circle in black and green over the tag and topped it with a stamped penguin from Paper Trey Ink's "Tremendous Treats" Christmas stamp set that was colored with Copic Markers.

The next tag I used the same die cut and stamped tag set as the first. However, I used a fern green ink. I am not sure I like it but I cannot find a true green ink that I love. I then topped it with a stamped gingerbread man from Paper Trey Ink's "Holiday Button Bits" set. Very, very simple. I could make a ton of these very easily, which is key in making tags in bulk. I wish I figured that out when I started!!

My last tag I used Mama Elephant's "Arctic Penguins" stamp and die set to create my tag.

I colored the ice and and bits in with Copic markers. I really love these little guys!!

I used Christmas Red Stickles on the pom pom at the top of the hat and made teeny red dots with it on top of the present. The snowflakes on the tag are from Lawn Fawn's "Snow Day" stamp set.

I thank you for stopping by during this busy time. Have a great night!!
