CAS-ual Fridays June Release Day 1

Hello everyone!! Today is the first day of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps June release. Four days of NEW product just for you. Woot Woot!!!

Today I am showcasing a card that I created with the new Little Huggables Stamps and matching Little Critters Fri-Dies. I am also giving you a sneak peek of the new Hearts A2 Panel Fri-Die being showcased at the end of the week!!!

I started off my card by stamping and using Copic Markers to color in a little bear from the new Little Huggables stamp set. I then used the new Little Critters Fri-Dies to die cut the bear out.

Next I stamped a sentiment using the same stamp set and heat embossed it in white.

I used the new Heart A2 Panel Fri-die to emboss a white and red piece of cardstock. I die cut the white, embossed cardstock into a rectangle and adhered it over a white, A2 card base using foam adhesive. I die cut the red into a circle and popped it up with adhesive foam.

I adhered the sentiment strip and the little bear over the red circle. I added a little heart in the bears arms, covering it with clear sparkle pen and Glossy Accents. I finished off the card by using some red glitter glue on the bear's nose.

These new stamps and dies, along with the rest of the release is available NOW in the NEW section of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store. Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March Release Day 4: Pretty Passover and Star of David Fri-Dies

Happy Thursday!!!

It is day four of the March release for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. The Ink Squad is showcasing the new "Pretty Passover" stamp set and the "Star of David Fri-Dies."

I have to admit that I started and discarded more card fronts for this card then I ever have. I tried to foil but I need different embossing powder then I have. I then used glitter embossing powder-total MESS!! I have glitter EVERYWHERE!!! But the card I created is simple but I really like how it came out.

I started by stamping and heat embossing the flower star from the "Pretty Passover" stamp set in gold. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment using the same stamp set.

I then die cut the star out using the "Star of David Fri-dies," as well as a second star. The second star I covered in pigment ink and heat embossed in gold glitter embossing powder. I adhered the glittered star over the front of the flowers.

I then adhered this to a purple, embossed A2 card front. I added some purple sequins in a lighter color around the sentiment.

All of the release is now available in the CAS-ual Fridays Store under the NEW section. Use my code NORASENTME to get an extra 15% off your total order.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Tune in tomorrow for day five of the new release!!

CAS(E) this Sketch #227

Happy Tuesday!! Busy day here. Had to go to the dentist today to get measured for a retainer. Who knew at 48 that my teeth would start moving and I would need worry about my teeth shifting back to a pre-braces spot. I feel like a teen again!!

I also had to bring Zack to the vet. He has not been himself as of late. We are no sooner outside on a walk when he starts panting and cannot keep up with us. (He has been trained to walk by our right side.) Zack also limps a little when he gets up.

He is at least 9 (not totally sure because he is a rescue dog) and I know things do get slower with age. I just don't like to see him like this. They gave him some antibiotics and hopefully these will help make him feel better.

Enough about life!!

Today I am sharing a card I created for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #227. This came together quick because most of the supplies were right on my desk.

I started off by covering a white, A2, top folding card with a scrap of patterned paper. I then layered a rectangle I had embossed over the front, as per the sketch below.

Next I die cut three frames out of white card stock using My Favorite Things "Pierced Rectangle" frames dies. I adhered them together and placed them over the top of the embossed paper.

I then stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things "Geometric Greenery" onto a white banner that I had die cut using MFTs "Fishtail Flags Frames" Die-namics. I added it to the card front using foam adhesive.

I adhered a white Simon Says Stamp "Tiny Tags" die cut that was on my desk over the flag and covered that with a Memory Box's "Rhone Butterfly Wings" that I had die cut for a previous project and never used.

To finish off the card, I covered the body and the wings of the butterfly with "Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker." I thought that the body melted in to the butterfly a bit too much so I then covered it with Diamond” Stickles.

That is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Saturday with Simon Says Stamps Embossing Challenge

Hello everyone!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Today I am posting a fun project that I created yesterday for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. This weeks challenge is to create a project that contains some type of embossing.

For my card, I tried a technique that I had never used before. I have used texture paste on white card stock but have never used it on colored card stock. I chose to use a Memory Box stencil, some embossing paste and glitter over the paste for my background.

I then layered a vellum doily over it. (Please excuse the adhesive lines. Once I stuck it down I couldn't get it back up without ripping!) My next step was to adhere a piece of patterned paper that had been die cut into a square with a star in the center. I used foam adhesive to give it a little dimension.

The sentiment was stamped, heat embossed, and layered over the square.

I then die cut some stars out of white embossed paper and red card stock. I layered them randomly around the card.

My last step was to adhere gold star sequins randomly around the rest of the card. With the exception of the two on the sentiment, I just took a bunch of stars in my fingertips and let them fall where they went. I then used glossy accents to adhere them to the card. I LOVE how this came out!!

I would change two things, though. First, I think I would try to get some glitter gold embossing powder instead of using glitter. The glitter adhered but  is falling off in some places. Second, I would not have the tape lines in the middle of the star. That bugs me to no end!!

Again, I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a wonderful day!!
