 Hey Friends!

This card is very much like the card I did last week EXCEPT I made my background purple.

Below is the challenge badge for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #599:

Once again I used Spellbinders Die of the Month Club dies to create my card. I LOVE how this came out!!

Once again I used a combination of pattern paper, cardstock and handmade papers to create my florals and the boots.

That is all from me. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Another Creative Weekend

Hi everyone!! I am popping back on to the blog to show case a few more cards I created this weekend. That is two in a row where I ACTUALLY HAD MOJO!! Whoot Whoot!! It happens so rarely with me that it makes me giddy.

That said, I also need time to clean my craft room. It looks like a tornado came into my room and there is stuff EVERYWHERE!!

Onto my cards!! The first card I used the Addicted to CAS Challenge #157- Fluffy, as my jumping off point for my card.

I am hoping that this card is clean and simple enough to even participate in this challenge!! I used Copic markers to color in this adorable panda from Gerda Steiner Designs "Lovely Panda" set.

I experimented in trying to make the bear look fluffy by using tiny flicks with my marker. I am actually happy with the way it turned out.

The sentiment is not how I originally planned it. I wanted it to be right on the card front BUT when I stamped it, I got distracted and it came out crooked. I hate to throw anything away so I just added a card strip with the sentiment on it over the top of my mistake.

I am entering this into the Addicted to CAS Challenge, as well as Just Us Girl's Challenge, Birthday and Seize the Birthday Challenge, no topping.

For my next card, I used the quilt from the "Inspired by" Challenge and the butterflies from The Paper Players Spring Theme challenge as my starting off point.

The great thing about this card is all the paper strips I die cut for the front were SCRAPS from my drawer!!

I could see this as a strip quilt, couldn't you? It was so fun to make that I cut more strips from the same papers to create another card but have not gotten around to that yet.

The butterfly and the doily were even left overs from another project. I always stamp or die cut more then I need because I am a person whom makes MANY mistakes.

I just stamped this today and I cannot even tell you what stamp I used for the sentiment. I have so many sets everywhere that I cannot find it!!

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit me today. I hope you all have a FABULOUS night!!

CAS(E) This Sketch #187 and Paper Smooches

This is my second post for today. I just wanted to pop in and share another card I created yesterday during my creative afternoon.

I used CAS(E) This Sketch #187. Here is the card I came up with:

Here is the sketch that I used as my inspiration.

My card was very deliberate in how I constructed it. I used Paper Smooches "First Aid Kit" stamp set to stamp the heart "band aids" with "Jet Black" Ranger Archival Ink onto some patterned paper by Craft Smith. I was making this card for my Uncle who had a stent put in his heart on Wednesday. These hearts were PERFECT to use and using patterned paper made it quick to create!

I fussy cut each heart out and mounted them onto some gray paper that I had stenciled a chevron pattern onto with WPlus9's "Fairy Dust" ink. I stamped the sentiment with My Favorite Things "Red Hot" ink using Paper Smooches "Sentiment Sampler." I then mounted it on matching "Red Hot" card stock.

I covered each heart with my new Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker and then with Glossy Accents. I am so excited with how this card came out as at first glance, I hadn't a clue on what kind of card I was going to create for this challenge!!

That is all for now. I thank you for stopping by today to peek at my card. Have a great day!!

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I am so excited to post today as it is the first time participating in CAS-ual Fridays new release party!!

Without further ado, here is my sneak peek for the first set, "Pretty Posies" and the matching "Posies Fri-dies."

I ADORE this stamp and die set. It is fabulous for playing with Copic markers or watercolor.

On my first card, I went a bit pink. Okay, I admit it is more then a bit but I LOVE how it came out!!

I started off with a Stampin Up! "Positively Pink" card base that I ran through my big shot with a Darice Crackle embossing folder. I then cut a strip of pink striped paper for the top that was a scrap from my stash. I cut a large, white Doodlebug doily in half and adhered it to the front of the card, as shown.

Next I stamped the flowers and leaf from the "Pretty Posies" stamp set and colored them in with Copic markers. I then cut them out with the matching "Posies Fri-dies." I also stamped the sentiment from the set onto white card strip.

I used foam adhesive to adhere the flowers and the sentiment strip over the front of the doily. The last step was to glue a few clear sequins randomly around the cluster.

For my second card, I toned it down a bit.

I started off with a white card base and die cut two tags, one from black and white polka dot paper and one from vellum, using the middles sized tag from the "Tag Buddies Fri-Dies." I tied a piece Doodlebug "Bubblegum Twine" onto the tags and adhered both as shown to the card front.

Next I adhered the "Pretty Posies" leaf and the flower that I had colored in with Copic markers and die cut with the matching dies. I added details onto the flower with gel pens.

I embossed a sentiment in white onto a black piece of card stock strip and used foam adhesive to adhere it to the front of the card. My last step was to adhere black rhinestones around the sentiment.

That is it for me today, though you will be seeing this set used in conjunction with the sneak peek of another set tomorrow. Don't forget to visit the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to enter into the random $15 prize.
