There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #624

Hello Friends!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #624 is a THEME CHALLENGE-SCHOOL DAYS.

There is a sponsor for this round-Kate Hadfield Designs. This shop generously donated the digi stamps BIG SCHOOL to the Design Team for our cards.

Below is the Challenge Badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challeng #624:

Like my ruler card from last week, I layered the pencil image over and over in a row. I then colored the pencils in with Copic Markers in rainbow order.

I adhered the panel to a red, A2 card front. I then glued a strip of red gingham pattern paper 1/4" way down from the top of the white panel and added a die cut sentiment from the Spellbinder's Every Day Sentiment Set.

My last step was to add some Glossy Accents to the pencil erasers and the circles on the “metal” part and this card was done.

Popping in With Some Cards for Challenges

Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with some cards for some challenges. I had fun using some new things that I received this week. I  NEED to stop shopping!

My first card I created for the Inspired By Challenge #348. I was inspired by the colors in the photo.

I used the pattern paper Hidden Creek by Arden Creative Studio and the matching ephemera pack.

I added some Stickles on the leaves, on the flowers and on the butterfly to give them a little bit of oomph.

I used a dry embossing folder from Honey Bee Stamps on the pattern paper for my background and did a bit of distressing on the edge. I love how this card came out!

My second card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #698 and The Color Throwdown #838.

I used a Simon Says Stamp dry embossing folder Shimmering Stars on Spellbinders Wild Berry Cardstock. I apologize because I had a tough time photographing this card.

I used the Spellbinders Flags and Banners die set for my elements. I used the colors of the Color Throwdown Challenge on my dies.

I used the combination of Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and MFT Peach Bellini to color in my dies.

I then added some gems in the three colors to complete my cards.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

A Couple of Cards for Some Challenges

Hello friends!!

I am just popping in with some cards for some challenges. I love summer because I am able to spend time in my craft room. However, I should be cleaning it rather then creating. It is a MESS!!!

The first card I created was for Freshly Made Sketches #697. Last week I dies from Spellbinders Small and Large Die of the Month Club and die cut a ton of images. I decided to use the die cuts from the Large Die of the Month for my card. One thing that I had a lot of fun with is picking through all my paper scraps for my cutting.

Below is the sketch I used for my card. I am also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.

I dug out my Christmas Paper Pads to augment my card. The paper is from Penny Black Festive & Frosty paper pad.

I used a scrap of Basic Grey paper for the blue strips. How I wish that paper company still existed!!!

The little border is a die from Spellbinders and the embossing folder is Twirling from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is a sticker from Tim Holtz idea-ology Christmas Stickers.

My next card that I created is for the Jingle Belles Challenge. It was a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and I chose the first column down-animal, die cut, red.

I started by embossing the white background using the Twirling embossing folder.

I used a little mouse that was from my stash but I believe is from Lawn Fawn. I think it was a Stamptember stamp purchase?

I had a blast making the red panel with different shades of red Distress Stain. I added some white acrylic paint and some foundry wax when the stain was dry.

I am not sure who made the sentiment. It was in my stash.

My last card is NOT a Christmas card. I created it for my husband's friend's 60th birthday. I am entering it into the Little Red Wagon Challenge #818-Masculine.

I used paper and die cuts from 49 & Market. This card is a 5" by 7" card, a size I NEVER create!!

I did a bit of distressing on the edges and then dragged Vintage Photo Distress Ink along the edges.

For the numbers on this card I used dies from The Greetery.

Well, that is all from me today. I have some other cards I created but will post them another time.

There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #622

Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #622 is a THEME CHALLENGE-FOR THE BIRDS.

I started off by creating the background using Scattered Straw and Antique Linen Distress Stain to smoosh onto the background. I then used some stamps and a stencil over the top.

The little bird is from Spellbinders. The leaves are a combination of die cuts from Kat Scrappiness Dies and Alex Siberia.

Once again, the sentiment is from my stash. I have no clue who makes it but need to go through my stamps and figure it out!!

I used the Sunflower Botanicuts from The Greetery that were already created from my stash. I usually make a bunch of extras when I am die cutting so when I need them for something I have them.

The brown pattern paper is from an old Jillibean Soup paper pad and I used the Spellbinders Argyle Plaid embossing folder for the embossed background.

The sentiment is from The Greetery’s All Occasion Script Sentiments set.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

 Happy Summer Friends!!

Today I am popping in with a card that I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #691. I had the design in my head on what I wanted to do with this sketch but had to find everything first!! I went through my stash and I dug out products that I wanted to use. Most I have not used before.

I combined a boat die cut from "Carribean Dreams" by Altenew, the "Mighty Waves" Embossing Folder from Altenew and a sentiment from Spellbinders "Fair Winds" stamp set.

Below is the Sketch that inspired my card:

I did a bit of cutting of the embossed waves and added some white embossing ink and white gel pen on some of the edges.

The sail boat is placed at a slight tilt because you can't be on a wave a be sailing straight can you?

The sky was blended using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. This will be sent out as a Graduation card for one of my nephews. Yes, it is unconventional but I think it can fit.

That is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

There is Still Time to Play with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #610

 Hello Friends!!!

Today I am popping in with a card to remind you that there is still time to play with this round of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!!! Challenge #610 is a THEME CHALLENGE-ADD A TAG.

I dug through a ton of stuff for this card. The flowers are all Spellbinders die cuts from other projects. The tags are from Mama Elephant.

I knew the minute I saw this challenge that one of my weeks I was going to make a card using a grid design. These tiny tags were perfect. Each is popped up with foam tape and I used some twine for the tiny bows.

I used the Spellbinders 3D Beautiful Butterflies Embossing folder for the background. To complete my card I added some gems. I LOVE how this came out. I will definatly be doing something like this again in the future.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #608

 Hello Friends!!!

There is a NEW challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week. This will be the last one of the year!!! Challenge #608 is a THEME challenge. Add a BOW OR A RIBBON to your project.

I created a Christmas card for this week. I used dies from Spellbinders and paper from 49& Market to create this card. The colors were inspired by the Inspiration Badge for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #608.

Source

I started my project by die cutting the pine branches from green. I then die cut and put together the ornament and holly.

I adhered a piece of dry embossed, white cardstock on an A2 card front and layered a piece of 49 & Market paper that I had die cut using a border die. I then layered my die cut images over the card front.

I added the bow over the ornament and the sentiment and the card was finished. This would be an easy card to create a ton of if you did it assembly line style.
