Happy Tuesday!! I am Girl Friday over at the
CAS-ual Fridays Blog today.
I had fun mixing a couple CAS-ual Fridays stamp sets to create my card today.
I started by stamping and embossing using the new CAS-ual Fridays "
Pretty Posies" stamp set.
Next I used a Zig Watercolor Pen in Violet to color in my flower and Lemon Yellow to color in the middle. I colored in a bit of the Violet in the center of each petal and used a brush with water to soften the color up.
Then I used a Zig in Light Green to color in the leaves. I used the same technique with the leaves as I did with the flower-using water and a brush to blend the color.
I let the paint dry and then stamped the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays "
Sassy Smiles" set with Soft Granite dye ink.
I masked the flower and sprayed the panel with mist spray in Shaded Lilac, Chrome and Citron mist. After the mist dried, the flower was a bit to "purple" so I blended some blue Zig in with the purple.
I cut the panel down and added some foam to the back. I also added some patterned paper to the card base for a bit of contrast.
I die cut the "smile" sentiment in black, using the new "
Smiling Fri-Dies." I adhered it to the front of the card, slightly above the stamped part of the sentiment.
I then covered the black die cut with clear Wink of Stella and added a few purple sequins around the card.
I am in LOVE with this card. I am addicted to this blue-purple color as of late and cannot wait to send this to a friend who is having a rough time.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this card made you all smile!! Have a fabulous day!!
