A Few Cards for some Challenges

Hey Crafty Friends!!

I am just popping in with some cards I created for some challenges. My first card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #705.

I decided to flip the sketch for my card like Michele Ferguson.

I used some new to me supplies on my card. I used an MFT Stitched Ovals to die cut a piece of Prima pattern paper-My 3 Girls Tale. I layered some of the matching ephemera over the top and added a sentiment from the Bugs and Hisses by Poppy Stamps.

The background is the Exposed Brick embossing folder from Stampin Up! and my background paper is from Spellbinders.

My next card I created a card for The Color Throwdown #841.

Once again I used some new supplies that I bought from Concord & 9th.

I used the Sentimental Florals stamp set and matching dies for this card. It was so fun to use these colors on a card-something I never would have done on my own.

I used a Distress Tool around the edges and used an A2, top folding piece of cardsdtock that matched the background.

My last card I created was for The Card Concept #219.

I had a blast making some mixed media butterflies that I die cut using Memory Box's Canyon Butterflies. The flowers and Spellbinders September Die of the Month-Acorn Acres.

The sentiment is from my stash. The background is a linen background from Honey Bee Stamps.

I made this last week and used last week's Freshly Made Sketches #704 but didn't have time to post it.

I hate when I make cards and then don't get to put it on my blog!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Just Popping in with Some Cards

Hey Friends!!

Just popping in with some cards that are for an Instagram Hop. The challenge is to use the same products in three different projects. The theme for this month was Summer. I used the Waffle Flower Crafts Happy Crabs and Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layer: Small Seashells on my cards as the primary elements that stayed the same.

The first card I designed I created the background beach scene with Salty Ocean Distress Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Copic Markers and some white acrylic paint.

I die cut the crab from red cardstock and used foam adhesive to pop up the large shell. I die cut the shells in white and colored them in with a combo of Distress Ink and Copic Markers.

The net is from Tutti Designs and I die cut it from Kraft cardstock.

My second card I used the crabs, the shells and the Waffle Flower Crafts Coastline dies (some of my new favorite!!!)

Once again, I used a combination of Distress Ink and Copic Markers for my beach. The water color I used Salty Ocean for both the light and darker blue with the Coastline Stencil for the waves.

The sentiment is from Pink and Main's Smooth Sailing Stamp Set. Of the three, this is my FAVORITE card that I created.

My last card I created I added a life saver ring die by Sugar Pea Designs, a company that is now out of business.

I layered my little scene over an Altenew Mighty Wave embossed panel. Instead of red, I used a blue scrap of cardstock to die cut my crab. Isn't he cute?

I am also going to enter this card into the Card Concept's Challenge #218. I was inspired by the shell theme, not the colors.

Well, that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!

Some Cards for Challenges

**Some links in this post are Affiliate Links used at no extra cost to you

Hey friends!!

Just popping in with a card that I created for a challenge. I created a card using a sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog

I actually flipped the original sketch and instead of a square, I used a pinked circle. Below is the Tuesday Morning Sketch #704 that inspired my card.

Here is the flipped sketch:

I used a bunch of stuff from my stash so not sure who made what at this point. This is the downside of using things that you already created or die cut!!

I adore how this card came out, though!!!

I also decided to play with The Card Concept Blog this week.

The gold and the blue and the flowers in the photo from The Card Concept #194 is what inspired my card.

I also liked the lace feel of the candle holder and decided to use the Floral Grid Coverplate PinkFresh Studio on my background.

The flowers are from Spellbinders Floral Reflection die set. The sentiment is from The Ton.

The next card is for TWO challenges. The design is inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #538 and the colors from Inspired By Challenge.

Below is my card:

The flowers, the "arch" and the leaves are all from Spellbinders.

The background is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from my stash.

A really simple card but I LOVE how it came out!!!

That is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by!! Have a great day!!

A Few Mother's Day Cards

Happy Hump Day everyone!! This week is dragging and it does not feel like a Wednesday to me but a Thursday. The weeks are so slow but the weekends go by so quickly. I am just about to relax and bam, I am back at work. I know I am not the only one who feels this way!

Today I am here with a few Mother's Day cards. I actually do not enjoy making these as my mother has been deceased for over 25 years. This holiday just makes me sad. However, I figured that I could bring it to work and someone would take them.

My first one is just a remake of an old card. I added a stamped Mom from Taylored Expressions.

I know, I know, it is a bit bright but I LOVE the pattern papers I used and I was able to match the green of the rick rack with some of my green ink.

All of this is from my stash. I am finding stuff I forgot I had as I have cleaned my room out. Still have a TON more to do!!

This Mother's Day card was created using scrap paper, cardstock and the Antique Rose Layering Die from Altenew.

I am not one to buy little pads of cardstock but I bought Floral Smooth Cardstock Paper Pad from Scrapbook.com and used it for this card. It was perfect!! I didn't have to dig through my scraps to get the perfect shades that matched up.

I liked the first card so much that I created a second Mother's Day set using the same rose die. I am trying to use up my pre-made die cuts so I added the "wood" frame behind the rose.

I think I like this one better than the first!! I am entering this card into this weeks Card Concept Challenge #154. I was inspired by the pink roses in the bouquet and all the lovely greenery.

Well, that is all from me today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Valentine's Eve

Happy Saturday!!! I am just popping in with two more cars that I created for some challenges. They are Valentine themed, which cracks me up since we don't really celebrate Valentine's Day in my home!!! My birthday is on February 15th so we just roll it into one.

I created my first card for my daughter, though I should have made it for my husband!! He LOVES Pandas!!!

This card was inspired by this weeks Global Design Projects Sketch #278 and this weeks colors on The Color Throwdown #629 badge.

Instead of ombre stripes like on the sketch, I used a Heart Border die from Mama Elephant. I chose to die cut it from the colors on the Color Throwdown badge.

The panda was dug out from my stash of colored in images. It is from the Lovely Pandas by Gerda Steiner.

The sentiment strips were from Taylored Expressions Mini Strips Valentine. I tucked some die cut hearts around the little bear that were die cut from a retired CAS-Fridays die.

My second card I had fun creating using Pretty Pink Posh's Layered Heart Stencil and a die cut sentiment using SSS's Big Valentine's Day die.

I used the new Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink along with Candied Apple and Spun Sugar.

The sentiment is three layers of red cardstock that I covered with Christmas Red Stickles to give it some sparkle and shine.

I am entering this card into some challenges too. I am entering this into Watercooler Wednesdays WWC 308, The Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #152 and The Card Concept #148. The WWC308 was to create a card for an occasion and the colors were inspired by The Cupcake Inspiration and The Card Concept.

That is all from me today. I have one more card I created for Valentine's Day but I had to fix a boo boo and need to let it dry. I will post it maybe tomorrow.

Have a FABULOUS night!!
